I was hoping Teixeira would get off to a hot start to the second half, 3 homers and 7 RBI's works just fine with me. With their offence coming alive and the pitching remaining decent hopefully they can put a run together, though facing the Jays/Red Sox/White Sox/Yankees & Twins in the next 3 weeks could shut them down just as quickly.

I'm digging the Budokan card, SUWA/Momota, Taue & Nakajima as a team, Shiosaki/Suzuki, WILD II/KENTA & Marufuji and of course Takayama's return match should all be at the very least good. Should definately be one of the better shows of 2006. As for the G1, Kojima/Tanahashi & Nagata/Tenzan seem a lock to make the semis, who wins will probably depend on whether Tanahashi is the IWGP champ when it happens or not.

BJ Ryan's ERA has doubled in the space of one game, Ryan giving up 2 runs to Texas matching his entire total for the season before today.

With my current streak of something like 50 losses in a row, i think it's pretty clear i'm the rightful #1 contender for the title.

Denver now have a ton of money locked up between Nene, who can't stay healthy, Marcus Camby, who can't stay healthy, and Kenyon Martin, who can't stay healthy. Somehow i don't see that working out very well.

It was about this time last year the Rangers bombed out of contention, back-to-back series with Toronto and Minnesota should go along way to doing that again, particularly with how crap Texas have been at home.
