  1. Is the WWE making another inside joke aimed at the IWC?
  2. Good lord. Well, on the bright side, that's certainly a better gimmick than being the "boring" guy. But I didn't like the vague homoeroticism from Venis. Didn't like it at all.
  3. TV's Funhouse. And honestly, I've see many Seinfeld episodes, and NONE of them have ever made me laugh. Not so much as a chuckle.
  4. The show just rules all. So many great lines, too. One of my favorites: (Watching Sesame Street) PETER: Hey... is The Count a vampire?" BRIAN: What? PETER: I mean he's got those fangs...did they ever show him doing somebody in and feedin' on them? BRIAN: Let me get this straight....you're asking if they've ever done an episode of Sesame Street in which The Count kills somebody....and then drinks their blood for sustanence.... PETER: Yeah. BRIAN: No, i dont think they've ever done that.
  5. I'll probably watch this. You know why. Same reason I watched "Lizzy McGuire".
  6. I'm happy for Will Ferrell. I like the guy. Hopefully, this success will mean more Ferrell movies. Honestly, he's pretty much the only guy off of SNL in the past five years who I actually like enough to be happy for his success.
  7. Actually, that's all just in one chapter (Chapter 13: "Random Bush Bashing And Namecalling Without Reason") The first 12 chapters are fine. And watch out for the sequel, "Theo-Crazies" coming in bookstores next year. Can I get a signed copy? Or maybe just a free premium membership to jobberoftheweek.com? Or a "The Theocracy Stops Here" doormat?
  8. Dude, c'mon. Let it go.

Because Sanders > Randy Orton. Again, not saying Sanders was some sort of god among men, but he was (and perhaps still is) a more compelling character than Orton and had more charisma / presence on the mike (workrate wise, I'd say neither is too great). BTW, I obviously agree with you, Choken, about SOH, but don't want to strongly argue that point for fear of attracting Anglesault and the rest.
  10. Saw this match again.....hmmm, probably within the last six months, upon reviewing some of my own wrestling comps. I would say that it still holds up. The heat from the crowd was tremendous, and I'll admit to marking out a bit while watching it (especially for Rock).
  11. A very informative and disturbing (well, if you're a conservative) look at the Times and the pretext that they remain unbiased. I think kkk had a good point - what do you define as "media"? I can tell you, I do NOT believe it to be talk radio - shows like Limbaugh or Hannity or even O'Reilly, for all their talk of doing "news analysis", are just opinion shows and thus should be discounted as political pundit programming, not legitimate news sources. Thus, "legitimate" news media (newspapers, networks, etc.), in my opinion, is moderately left. Some are worse than others *coughLATimescough*.
  12. That might be relevant if anyone had made that argument in this thread. Your opening post implied, if not so much as said, that Islam has to go in the Middle East before the terrorist will be stopped. It sounded rather Ann Coulter-ish to me. It just about needs to be eliminated from the region. Certainly, it needs to be eliminated from all forms of government there. NO ONE here is saying it should be replaced with Christianity, or any other religion. Religion should be taken out of the equation entirely.

Cena just has tons more charisma than Orton does. Which is not to say that it would be impossible for Orton to get over....... ......just not nearly as easy as it has been / would be for Cena.
  14. As much as I'd like to see Mortis / Kanyon get a big push, if they're going ahead with the rumored Undertaker / Kane match at Mania (with Taker taking a couple months off then returning to his "Deadman" gimmick), having Kane be the one who helps Vince makes the most sense.
  15. ....for some reason, that doesn't look right. No.....no, it doesn't. I'd still hit it, though.

Because it does. The RNN skits. Which, hey, ended when he became Trips lackey. Those, I think, were maybe their best shot to get the kid over, but since then he's done NOTHING near worthy enough to justify his push / position. As generally apathetic as I am towards Heidenreich, even I don't wish this suffering upon the man. WWE Writer: Hey, John, great news! We're promoting you from OVW to RAW!!! Heidenreich: That's great! Well, what's my gimmick? Am I a face, a heel.... WWE Writer: Even better! You see, we've got this great idea for a guy who's best friend is a doll...... I mean, c'mon. Spare me this "everyone's dream is to be with the WWE" bullshit - you KNOW that if you were to make it to the WWE, your ass would be sorely disappointed if you found out that to make it on TV you had to be stuck with THIS gimmick.
  17. Rob Van Dam vs Christian. Match Background: Christian is the reigning WWE Intercontinental champion. The Match: THERE IT IS! A legdrop to the BACK OF THE HEAD! I swear, that makes any match just a little bit better. I don't mind telling you that every time I see it, that's for sure. Super kick by Christian. Covers for a quick two count. Rob Van Dam reverses a hip toss. Standing leg lariat by Rob Van Dam on Christian. THERE IT IS! A legdrop to the BACK OF THE HEAD! I swear, that makes any match just a little bit better. I don't mind telling you that every time I see it, that's for sure. Hooks the leg for a two count. Tor-NADO DDT from Rob Van Dam, Christian got planted! Pin, but Christian is out just before the three count. Implant DDT by Rob Van Dam! I will always and forever mark out for that move. Christian avoids a Rob Van Dam avalanche by getting out of the damn way! Flying reverse elbow by Christian. Hooks the leg for a two count. Springboard dropkick from Christian. Nicely done. Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! Christian uses a basement dropkick to the knee and it looks like it might be TIME TO GO TO SCHOOL~! Dropkick connects to the BUTT of the jaw and RVD goes down. Christian misses a clothesline. Second rope flying axe handle, Christian goes down. One day, RVD might even consider coming off the top with that. You know...for more impact and stuff. Tor-NADO DDT from Rob Van Dam, Christian got planted! Booker T comes running down the aisle with a chair! RVD goes to irish whip Christian into the ropes. Booker hits Christian with a chair to the back! Christian gets knocked to the ground by RVD, who is already climbing the turnbuckle. Five Star Frog Splash!!! 1....2....3!! It's all over. Rob Van Dam shakes hands with Booker T, showing that their plan worked perfectly. My Opinion: As close to a ***** match as possible...but unfortunately, it was missing something, so I can only give it ****3/4. *************** Okay, not truly five stars...... But still, a ****3/4 star match involving RVD needs some love. This was from a throwaway Heat card, no less - and on the same show I Jindrack / Cade got carried to a ***3/4 match.
  18. Anyone else get a chill up their spine over this sentence?
  19. While I'd love to see him come back, I have no clue where this boundless optimism the rest of you are having comes from. So far all he's been able to do is work out - and he even admits that sometimes makes him feel awful aftewards. How the hell is he going to make it through a WWE schedule? December return my ass. Plus there are other problems, like the sleepwalking. I like the guy, I want him to return, but that article didn't give us anything but a FAINT glimmer that he may return. It's way too early to be getting excited, because it's still 50/50 (or even worse odds) that he's ever coming back.
  20. Double post. This guy is never going to be king. They'll leapfrog him right for that kid of his. He's mildly less embarrasing.
  21. The rumor was that the little prince here got hummers from a guy or two. Big deal. We've all been there, right? .......Right?
  22. Why is is always something gay with these guys? All of this repressed homosexuality reminds me why I'm glad my sports days are over and done with.
  23. This is bad. Very bad. I'm wondering how many guys are going to die before something is really done in the industry. It seems as if we're losing someone at least once or twice a month due to drugs / complications of substance abuse (even though it may be years after the fact). But.....as harsh as this is to say, I really hope this doesn't fuck Stevie up. I don't want to see him get fired over this, but things could go very bad very quick for him.

    A Few Things

Christ, even I'm beginning to think that Dean really may have some sort of mental instability problem.
  25. Ironic you say that. She's also a huge fan of Cuba, and has stated on more than one occasion that she would have rather gone to school there.....except, of course, Cuba isn't exactly known for its great law schools. The stories I could tell you about this broad.
