An excellent explanation of the Blair Witch Project, and why I personally like the film. As for it being scary......well, I must admitt, the first time I saw the scene where something is attacking their tent, and they hear children's voices.....that made my blood run cold. Probably because if I were in the same situation, the total wrongness of hearing children laughing in the middle of the deep, dark woods would totally freak me out.

I love Scott, I love STP, but people are just going to have to face the fact that guy's probably never going to be completely sober and probably will be dead sooner rather than later.

WWE has definitely beat WCW. I think Rudo has the best explanation for why. WCW was run by ignorant screwballs - and as soon as one got booted, they replaced them with another idiot. WWE can't claim ignorance. The WWE knows damn well what's going on they just refuse to take steps to change it because there are certain levels of bad business which they apparently deem acceptable - and they haven't reached the point where they feel the need for any major changes.

I would have to say that yes, The Shining IS scarier than Exorcist. I saw the Exorcist a few years back for the first time, and wasn't impressed. For its time I'm sure it was mind-blowing, but IMO, it hasn't aged well. Shining royally fucked with my head as a little kid, especially those goddamn twins. Saturnmark, would you be so kind as to post a bit of that list? At least the top 10 or so?

For what it's worth, I like Harley's idea of Jericho slowly falling for Trish. I don't know about the whole feud with Christian thing, but I'd probably be interested in seeing Jericho initially hook up with Trish to mess with Austin, but then slowly realize he's developed true feelings for her. It's soap opera as all hell, but who knows, Jericho could make it work. But wait, why are we discussing this for 21 pages? It's likely that by tomorrow night the writers will have forgotten all about this angle.

Honestly? No. Which is heartbreaking in some respects.

The best case scenario that we can hope for is for HHH to do reasonably well with his acting - well enough, at least, that he's offered plenty of roles (even if those roles are nothing more than "generic muscular hero / villain"), enough so that his attention is focused on something other than wrestling. If you truly believe that HHH is influencing things, than you have to believe that the influence won't stop simply because he's retired. He's part of the McMahon family now.

I actually like the Jericho / Trish angle. Potential angle, I suppose. For no other reason than this: I'm a Jericho fan, and nothing would amuse me more than seeing him get a little.

This arrest was obviously a coordinated operation that probably took some planning and certainly some investigation before it could be executed. I'm not saying we should just ignore these Eastern-Europeans. I'm saying that I'd rather see our immigration services arrest and detain 300 hundred fucking Muslim extremists with ties to a dozen or more terrorist groups than pulling off a sting operation on goddamn Wal-Mart. I just think one particular class of people are of a higher priority in this instance.

How do you know it was neither? Have you read the story in question? She says it was fiction, but none of us here know how closely it may have paralleled her own life, school, math teacher, etc. NO ONE has an unlimited, unrestricted right to free speech. The founding fathers didn't intend for there to be one. I don't see the gross violation of her civil liberties here.
