  1. Only as we know it. And I feel fine. And I'm scared shitless. I honestly hate thinking about that kind of shit. Not much of a music fan, are you?
  2. I'm not down with Mayer-lution. With Mayer-lution, we all slowly become more and more pasty and overweight with each passing year. I wouldn't mind evolving into an X-man, though.
  3. You would be suprised how many actually do. Would you say that Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and Minister Farrakhan represent all, or even most, African-Americans?
  4. I have, sadly, seen this too. It is sad to see things like Creationism and Scientology discussed seriously. Someone even complained to me that in our society people don't want to accept things as truth unless they can be proven. Uh, yeah, people generally like to accept only FACTUAL INFORMATION as "truth." The thing I don't understand is that most people seem to fall into either one of two camps, either that religion / God / Creationism will prove science wrong, or that science will be the avenging angel, no pun intended, that will finally put this religion / God nonsense to bed once and for all. Neither can disprove the other. No one ever seems to realize that science & religion can exist perfectly harmonious with one another. If you believe in God, you believe in God. Nothing should really change that. Whether God created the Earth and all life on it within six days or by the process of evolution shouldn't really be a question that you lose sleep on.
  5. Except for the bitchslapping on reasonable thinking that Farrakhan unleashed with his numerology diatribe. -=Mike Yeah, but it was in Washington DC. You know how much bitchslapping on reasonable thinking happens there everyday? I'm not sure the mathematical formula has been devised to fully equate the level of idiocy in Washington DC. -=Mike Hey! I happen to live in the D.C. area, and I take offense....... ......wait. Damnit, you're right. Carry on.
  6. I'd just like to add that, though I will be buying a ticket for this film, part of me really, really loathes myself for doing so. A rather large part, actually.
  7. Only as we know it. And I feel fine.
  8. Thanks. Now I'm starvin'.
  9. I would be disappointed if you were not at least MORE handesome than that guy. Well, I would be.
  10. At this point, I think I'm sick of MY power trips.
  11. Well to be technically correct, it's some other girl who's actually getting tortured. We're just making comments about the girl in the pic, who has NOT been sexually molested. See? Well, isn't the egg on YOUR face.
  12. Your tastebuds haven't risen up to slaughter you yet? -=Mike ...IHOP is the only way to go. Good God, man... IHOP over Waffle House? What kind of Southerner are you, anyway? A carpetbagger, I would say. ......although everything Mike posts suddenly seems very humorous if you envision it being said with a strong southern accent. Anyway, IHOP is very overpriced. I'll take a nice Waffle House meal any day.
  13. Farrakhan isn't really winning me over with that whole "strap bombs on ourselves" spiel.
  14. Is Windu/Anakin confirmed? No, RJ's right. We get Palpatine vs. some Jedi, Mace being one of them, and then towards the end of the fight, when it's only Mace vs. Palpatine (the others are dead), Anakin turns heel and, I think, cuts off Mace's arm. It's not even really a fight. And while I'm at it, based upon what I've seen of the adaptations.....if the adaptions are correct, than don't get too excited for any Obi-Wan / Grievous fight, cause it seems to last all of maybe five minutes, at THAT. Which would make this film much like the Phantom Menace, in which the coolest villain (there - Maul, here - Grievous) gets maybe 10 minutes total movie time before they're killed off. Oh, and fuck George Lucas.
  15. You're letting your ridiculous SNL fanboy crush on Jimmy Fallon obfuscate your better judgment and common sense.
  16. Definitely worth the money. It's actually not very expensive (I think I got my copy for around 20 bucks.....of course, if you know the right channels, you could get it for free.....), and works exceptionally well. I had to, unfortunately, reformat my computer earlier this year because my system had been infested with a particularly nasty virus that NOTHING could get rid of. After the formating, I installed Sweeper, and it's worked fantastic. I've only had a couple spyware problems, but it caught and deleted them every time. Another good program to get is Avast antivirus. You can download it for free off download.com. That's a pretty decent program for free (you can even schedule boot scans, which work great, as they usually catch and eliminate viruses or spyware that you normally wouldn't be able to rid yourself of as those same spyware programs would start running when Windows loaded), and unlike Adaware or Spybot, it doesn't download its own spyware onto your computer. Plus the virus database updates itself virtually every day.
  17. I really thought this would be a DQ. Don't tell me HHH wins it back at HIAC, because I can't see him losing THREE STRAIGHT TIMES to Batista. I guess the story is that he had Batista beaten but the ref was down so he should get another shot? Yep. I thought Triple H was going to win tonight and maybe Batista win the belt back at HITC. I guess not. I'll be shocked if HHH loses to Batista on three straight PPVs. But we shall see. He will if he's serious about putting over Batista as the next big star. .........yeah, I can't say it with a straight face either.
  18. Didn't think this was worth it's own thread, but by reading the local news this past week, I found out that this guy I used to know back in high school just got convicted of second degree murder. This guy was always pretty screwed up even back then, but I didn't know HOW fucked up he was.
  19. Well then, since we're being reasonable, I think you would agree that there's a pretty wide fucking gap between simply looking at the President with a critical eye, and asserting that it is entirely plausible that he's responsible for the mass murder of a few thousand American civilians as a part of some bizarre political scheme for power. And let's be honest. Maybe conservatives are more quick to dismiss these conspiracies, but guys like C-Bacon or INXS are more likely to believe it. And I'd feel safe in labeling them "bitter liberals."
  20. This is truth...yet she sells records like chaw tins at a rodeo. Further proof of why America re-elected the likes of George Bush. Please, her popularity isn't because of "red-state America". It's because, though she's nowhere near the upper level of hot female country singers (like Faith Hill or Shania Twain), she has sex appeal. In a sort of dirty, filthy whore kind of way.
  21. I'm legitimately surprised. I just KNEW the brothers would push XXX into the top spot. .......what? Don't act as if that's so outrageous. This is the day and age where "Are We There Yet?" can make open at #1. I must say, though, I take a perverse pleasure in the fact that the Vin Diesel "Pacifier" crap-fest has made over 100 mill, which is likely more than XXX will make in its run.
  22. And look who's writing them. No offense to the guy, he's super talented, but my respect for him dropped quite a few notches when he became just like every other writer out there and started pushing his own social / political agenda in his work. You could make an argument that he did that to an extent in Bab5, which would likely be true, but nowhere near as heavy-handed as he is today. BTW, Michael Medved should have kept reading the Cap series, because a couple issues later, in a different story arc, a terrorist cuts this big promo in the book that is virtually the same as Al Tariq, about how Americans are all terrorists because they're complicent in the death and destruction that our government has wrought in the world, and Cap just looks at him and says, "That's terrorist double-talk, mister, and I, for one, am SICK of it." And then he beats the royal shit out of that guy. And at the end, he and Thor paraphrase Shakespeare, Henry V I think. It was great.
  23. They're not very big, and they're overpriced.
  24. I find ordering meat "medium" works pretty well. They don't burn the shit out of it, and asking for anything less than medium just winds up pink and bloody. And there's only one type of meat I'll eat that way. *honks wacky horn*
  25. No, he is. It's just the sad reality that we live in a country where there are enough dumb fucks who would believe the absolute worst about someone, no matter how incredibly illogical and improbable it may be, simply because they disagree with that individual politically and philosophically. And apparently we have a few of those type of people on this board. You learn to deal with it. Like by taking up liquor or chain smoking an entire pack of cigarettes just to take the edge off of dealing with these folks.
