This isn't really adding anything new to the conversation, but the Scissor Sisters are really, really, REALLY gay. I'm all for alternative lifestyles, but seriously, they make me pause and wonder if sometimes gay-bashing isn't a little justified.

And it gets worse. I haven't been to the comic shop in a few weeks, so I haven't picked up my latest copy of Previews to see what this looks like. But it may be the last straw that makes me abandon Marvel for a while. Which would suck, because outside of Batman I've never really been much of a D.C. fan.

That's like not blaming a crack dealer for selling their wares simply because there's a market for the shit. Marvel is far from blameless here. It's sad, because why the hell does it seem as if I care more about Marvel's Avengers franchise than Marvel itself does?!

See, I never got past the trailer. I heard about this movie, new it was being produced, and I was psyched for it. Then the trailer came out, and it was so fucking cheesy that my "Bad Movie Alert" warning beacon started to sound off. I was still willing to give it the benefit of the doubt, for two reasons: a) I'm a monster movie mark, and b) Kate Beckinsale, Kate Beckinsale, KATE BECKINSALE. Didn't actually bother seeing it, though, because at least a half dozen friends of mine saw it on its opening weekend and ALL of them hated it. There weren't any differing opinions, no "I thought it sucked / I disagree, it wasn't great but it had its moments... / etc", it was all "This movie blew. Save your money." Only way I see this is maybe when it comes on free TV. Dracula here is played by Dominic Purcil (for those who were John Doe fans), and I've seen some of the trailers, and he just looks corny. Blade vs. Drac could be major, but the fact that they're not even promoting Drac as the main villain should be warning enough. I'll still watch the flick sometime in the next few days, cause though the Blade movies are mindless action flicks, they're good popcorn flicks.

This angle would have been kind of compelling if Heidenreich was an actually decent worker. Hell, this would be compelling even if he was just at Sid's level of ability.

If this contest had truly been based upon athletic ability, instead of the shitty, retarded challenges that they came up with every week, I would say you would be wrong, since Puder is arguably the best all-around athlete of the bunch. However, since it's not, I think you're likely right. Puder doesn't strike me as a guy with a whole lot of personality, and he can't cut a promo at all, but him punking out Angle gave him some credibility and a certain aura & mystique. It made Puder the internet fan favorite, and that's the sole reason why he's made it to the end, because 99.99% of the non-smart fans who watched that fateful segment with Angle wouldn't know what a keylock was or how Angle was screwed from the moment the move was applied.

If they make this legit, yes, it's going to be messy. I don't know how good of a fighter Puder is / was, but I have to figure he's good enough to potentially do some real damage.

Two things: 1. Your ENTIRE premise, "He's really BRAVE because he doesn't want to go over to Iraq and be a KILLER of INNOCENT people" is flawed (and worthless) from the very beginning, considering that regardless of how one feels about the Iraq War, the insurgents that he would potentially be killing are hardly innocents. Unless you view them in the same light as INXS, conceiving them to be mere freedom fighters, in which case my contempt for you would know no bounds (as it does with hunger). 2.) He's not a pussy for not wanting to go fight in a military conflict that he morally opposes. He's a coward because instead of abiding by the laws that govern his very existence - not just American society but the military society to which he willingly entered of his own free will - he's chosen to turn tail and run to our socialistic, limp-wristed "brothers" up north. If he had any real bravery, he would oppose the war, yet be man (and SOLDIER) enough to face the consequences of his refusal to comply with his orders.
