  1. Would anyone be willing to transcribe any of those results, please?
  2. The worst part is that the JCP history site wasn't saved by the Internet Wayback Machine, so it's gone forever.
  3. I was wondering if anybody knows where I could find a complete listing of the NWA Great American Bash Tour results from either 86 or 87. Most sites only list 2 or 3 stops from those years. Any response will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  4. This is the WCW Title discussion thread.
  5. Well, it wasn't an *actual* Tag Title belt; it was a new belt identical to the Tags except there were 3 stars where the Tag titles said 'Tag Team,' so now the belt only said 'World Wrestling Champion.'
  6. The Metal Maniac speaks the truth.
  7. I don't understand that at all, seeing as how they had held WarGames there for THREE CONSECUTIVE YEARS before then. How/why would the 2 rings fit then, but not in 1999?
  8. What about when Crash Holly purchased SHAFT's bodyguard services for a day?
  9. This link has the pics AND vids in it.
  10. Go here to watch videos of WCW guys meeting KISS before their Nitro performance. I recommend watching them set up the stage; I've never seen a set go up so quickly. The camera cuts to the monitor so you can see the match going on as they set up the stage; it's pretty cool to see. Plus, hearing Tony Schiavone say 'motherfucker' is something is cool in itself.
  11. Slaugher was US champ back in the Mid-Atlantic Wrestling days, I believe late 70's - early 80's. I've seen several pictures of him wearing the old red-strapped US belt - the one which the main plate was a map of the US. This pic shows him wearing the classic US Title.
  12. Slaughter was actually US Champion during the NWA days. You could check here... http://www.titlehistories.com/WWE%20United...ght%20Title.htm Anyways, more proof that the WWE US title has the WCW/NWA linege(like it really needs it). I got a SmackDown! Magazine telling the story about the history of the US title and the complete linage with pics from the NWA/WCW days and recently WWE. Also, from the 1st day Steph announced the return of the US Title, the announcers explicitly stated that this was the NWA/JCP/WCW US Title being brought back to active use.
  13. Good way to cut out Snitsky leaving the ring.
  14. Even when trying to be unambiguous about the WHC's history, they succeed in doing just the opposite.
  15. Jim Duggan ought to be a part of this on account of his 1988 Rumble victory.
  16. Now, with that being done, how will they do the history of the World Tag Belts? I assume that it will be the complete lineage of the WWF tag titles, but there's also the WCW tag titles that were merged in there as well, and they deserve some attention as well . . . . Confusing, eh? They'll just mention the unification during their writeup of the Dudleys' reign. Sucks that Inoki's reign gets no-sold again.
  17. Well, they can't very well undo that whole storyline by acknowledging reality.
  18. In general, red X's don't work for me as title belts.
  19. Gotta love those Coliseum Video rereleases.
  20. Sometimes a gallon of milk is just a gallon of milk.
  21. They'd better mention it as 'evidence' that Hassan is right.
  22. Who owns the XPW name again?
  23. I think WOW only exists in D. McLane's mind at this point.
  24. The other guy was the Rock. JR played it off as Goldberg's car being sabotaged.
  25. Explain. Mess around with the fans????? Eh, it's my understanding that they do unusual or funny shit when the cameras are turned off, like how in 10/03 Taker and Brock actually had a WWE Title match after the SD! before No Mercy went off the air. This is different, obviously, but if you want me to break down what happened I will. IIRC, Angle and Brock were raising each others hands and posing for the fans. Then, Brock went up to Kurt and kissed him (see picture). Kurt stood there selling the kiss as a WTF? moment, then Brock pantomimed like he was just kidding around. Kurt shook his head and went to hug Brock, then Brock did a crotch-bump-type-thing to Kurt, which prompted Kurt to leave and head toward the ramp. Brock pantomimed 'What?' at Kurt as he went up the ramp. Bottom line, it wasn't made out to be 'OMG KURT N BROCK R LOVERZ' so much as Brock goofing around.
