Hmm. well after last week's humbling loss to the Giants I would be lying if I said this game doesn't concern me. The Redskins are undefeated at home though so that is a plus.

Dammit........

I would never buy a PPV for a play by play guy, however I would FF a lot less on my Tivo'd Raw because of Joey Styles.

One and Only Star Wars Geekiness Thread

I guess my question would be, once Anakin knows Palpatine is a Sith Lord, why wouldn't he have reservations about everything he has told him up to that point, including the "I am the only one that can save Padme" ? I mean if Sith Lords are known for being tricky, evil bastards, did it not strike Anakin at all that Palpatine may be lying? -
How can you not trust him after back to back game tieing drives, back to back weeks against the Cowboys and Denver? Sure he wasn't that accurate today, but from what I noticed, the Skins basically playing deep in coverage and were trying to stop him, and not Tiki. And it killed them. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I didn't say he was incapable of making big plays, however if you asked me TODAY, if I would trust the ball in Eli's hands with the game on the line in a big game against a top Defense, I would say no, that doesn't mean he CAN'T DO IT, I mean hell lesser players then himself do it every week in the NFL, but I'd say the odds would be against Eli as of right now. In his third year and beyond, that will be a different story.

The Giants may just be the best team in the NFC today, but I still don't trust Eli Manning yet down the stretch. Next season will be a different story though. Of course with Tiki Barber possessed like he is, it allows Eli to not be pressured so much. As far as Plummer, everyone knows the Jake will be exposed as soon as the Broncos play a team that can stop the run. It usually happens around playoff time. Plummer is comfortable moving around in the pocket and picking up short yardage 3rd downs, however like a Drew Bledsoe, when it is up to him to win the game, he pretty much fails every time. The Eagles, they are 4-3, and not dead yet. I think they have been in worse or equally as bad situations over the past season or so, and rebounded once they got healthy. They still have the personnel, or at least most of it, that got them to the Superbowl last season. My Skins, well, I just dunno, they need to stop fumbling the damn ball. I don't care how weak the defense looked today, the D kept the game close as long as it could, but four turnovers is too much for any team to overcome.
-
As bad as the Skins seemed to be today, on defense that is, the turnovers on offense killed them more then anything setting up the Giants with a short field. I believe the G-men scored off of every single turnover.

I guess Washington doesn't even want to try and win today......this is f'n embarrasing.

Speaking of the Smark/Mark relationship. Last night I was having a Halloween Party, and I was watching TNA, yes I was watching TNA during the party.....anyway a mark came into the room to watch it with me and when they did the promo for Hardy's DVD, the guy just went off on how much he though Hardy sucked......talk about a mark bringing a tear to a Smark's eye.....

Oh, don't worry I am not a leach, if I like it I buy it. I just don't usually buy stuff without hearing it first.

Street Fighter 2, I was an addict. The Donut shop across the street from school had daily tournaments before, during, and after school. I remember people doing the old "hammer-to-nickel" trick so we could keep playing.

Zombie vs. Shark eh? Aw such sweet memories from the movie Zombi 2! Anyway you can rip this onto the puter, host it and let me download it?

I like how WWE likes to have it both ways. On one hand, they say the internet wrestling community is so small that it is insignificant to the big picture, and what "real fans" want, yet they go and post this on their website hoping to cause a big shakeup. If anything, it will make me want to watch TNA more now, to look for any subtle changes in booking style, as where Jerry Jerret going to the WWE hardly screams of excitement. Oh and I agree with DA earlier....."Hey Jerry could you please take Double J with you?"

I just got back from the flick. Enjoyed it a lot. I have never gotten the hate or just sarcastic negativity directed towards the first one, which I enjoyed a lot too. And yes, the twist in this was pretty good. It is nice to see a straight-forward horror movie, considering all these horror flicks I have seen in the theaters over the past year or so, where it was either all a dream, a multiple personality, or something of that nature......... Saw II was good.

I forgot, if your selected team has a bye week does that mean you don't submit picks that week?

I think it has something to do with Cheney saying for 2 years that he heard it from a reporter, when in fact he was lying and he really heard it from someone else...

2nd in yards, 14th in points. Its gonna be a close game. If the Giants can get pressure on Brunell, and stop Portis, they'll be fine. Beside last week against Anderson and Bell, and then against LT, the Giants run D has been very good. The Giants D is a bend but not break defence. If they can keep the damage to a minimum, I like their chances. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> eh, I wouldn't exactly call a 30th ranked defense, a bend but don't break defense. I just think that the Skins offense is flying under everyone's radar because of how bad it was last season. They have been getting better every week, and putting up consistent days of over 350 yards offense. Even if you throw out the whooping they gave the 49ers, from the Seattle game on, their offense has been consistent every week, including on the road against Denver and KC. Some costly fumbles have ruined red zone chances, but they have thrown the fewest INTs in the league, but those types of things go away on a Gibbs-coached team. I haven't seen the Giants play much this year besides on highlight reels, but I wonder how well they defend the screen, because our players in their 2nd year of the system now seem to finally know where to be in position to block, and those same screen plays that went for five yards last season are now going for 15+ a pop....

My Skins go to NY for a showdown for first place in the NFC East. If the Skins win it will be huge as they go into first place and a 2-0 Division record. Some interesting stats, The Skins are the #2 Offense and the #4 Defense in the league. The Giants Defense is ranked 30th, ahead of only San Francisco. I think the Redskins go on the road an win a big early/mid-season game. Skins 24 Giants 21

Well I am dressing up as Jason Voorhees for the Halloween party me and my girlfriend are hosting this year, and all the horror fanatics from TSM are invited........if you dress up of course. -
I think what some people are forgetting is that there was a larger then normal amount of people that have watching their FIRST TNA PPV, so for all of them it wasn't simply "business as usual" or "nothing new here folks" You have to get over the fact that TNA isn't going to be your little wrestling fed anymore, and the best way to get a broader and bigger audience is to showcase some of your better attractions. Was some of it repetative for those who have watched TNA from the beginning? Sure.....but tonight was about the new fans, or at least newER fans.

People need to leave alone the notion that every wrestler is judged by what/how they did in WWE/WCW and even in ECW for that matter. If a promotion is worth a damn, they can take in guys who can work a match, and entertain a crowd, and get them over. Hell why is anyone complaining about Rhyno being a "WWE lackey" when it has been Jarrett of all people riding with the belt most of the time. IMO, Rhyno winning the Monsters ball match did enough to make him look worthy in casual fans' minds. The Monsters ball match was entertaining and fun, and I find it annoying that the same people who came away from that match with a "meh" attitude are the ones who salivate over TLC matches when those spots took about 10x longer to set up and there was 100x more stalling. Just enjoy a garbage weapons match for what it is for christs sake.

Well, Dangerous_A, and our friend "D" are here, while Ced & Darthtiki are on their way. This should be a fun show.

Well the Skins came out exactly like I thought they would. Angry because of basically giving away the games the last two weeks. They took their aggression out on the 49ers. Now they prepare for the NY Giants in which will be a good NFC East matchup.
