What about a Couture vs. Rampage fight? I mean, Fedor may be considered the best at Heavyweight, but I'd say Rampage is at least in the casual fans' eyes the best Light-Heavyweight. I am sure it would be a big money fight..... P.S. Why the fuck are affliction & extreme couture t-shits so fucking expensive? $50 for a t-shirt!?!

Well it seems that Rudy can get away with talking about how much of a 9/11 hero he is when he isn't in NY. He is trying to sell that to picture to "middle america" yet whenever he is in NY, the people don't seem to buy it, and for good reason.

WSH@GB - This is the "who is more for real game" while both teams could end up in the playoffs, one could get the feeling that one of these teams will come out of Sunday's game in a lot better shape than the other, and looked at as a bigger contender. The Packers are coming into this game the #1 pass offense. Of course, so were the Lions going into their game with the Redskins last week and they just got knocked down, I believe five spots. Farve >>>>>> Kitna, but I think the Lions had more weapons on offense to use. The Packers offense will come down to their line play. To retort my last statement on the Pack's running game, they actually ran the ball farely well on the Bears in the first quarter, but for some reason couldn't sustain it past the first big drive. It forced Farve into full gunslinger mode which, without a lot of weapons, will equal turnovers. I expect Jason Campbell to make a mistake or two, on the road, in a hostile crowd, in a big game. Hopefully the mistake(s) happen early in the game and the defense can bail him out. I think the Redskins will try to control the clock with the running game and limit how much Campbell has to put drives on his own shoulders. With the defense playing the way it is, and being virtually injury free, i think they halt the Packers O enough to come away with an upset win(well on the road I consider it an upset) Skins 23 Packers 21 NE@DAL - well since Dallas managed to pull a win out in Buffalo, this game might be getting a tad more hype then it deserves. This really is Dallas's first test of the season and it comes against the top team(or 2nd best) team in the league. The thing about the Pats is, if Romo throws 2-3 picks in this game, the Cowboys won't be sitting back in the fourth quarter with a chance to comeback to win the game. The Cowboys are a good team, however they are playing a great team, and the 'boys need to play a virtually flawless game to win here. The Cowboys pass defense has always been atrocious even with Newman semi-shutting down one side of the field, and with Randy Moss running deep routes on the Dallas safeties, who have shown over the years they can't cover, Dallas won't be keeping the Patriots out of the end zone too much. This game comes down to the Cowboys offensive coordinators finding a way to break the New England defense. Aint happening in October. Pats 28 Cowboys 17

So the new 40gb model will still have the Wi-Fi and HDMI ports? And although it has fewer USB ports, is the PS3 compatible with standard USB hubs? Cause those things are pretty damn cheap.
-
PS3 offers Component and HDMI. (I am assuming it also has the red/white/yellow option as well, but I am not absolutely sure) However, from what I have heard, it is only 1080p compatible. If you have a 1080i HDTV then it will down-convert to 720p.

The thing about the Pats, Cowboys, & Indy right now is that they are wearing down the opposing defenses in the first half of games. Some of their games are going into half-time close, giving the mirage that they might get upset, but really, they dominated the TOP and the opposing defense is basically spent half-way through the 3rd quarter, and that is when the scoreboard starts lighting up for them. It is classic football 101. The problem though, is when they run into a defense that can consistently get their offenses off the field with 3 & Outs. How will they respond. The Patriots and Colts are both World Champions, so you have to give them the benefit of the doubt at this point, but lets hold off on the Cowboys until they play some stiffer competition. I still would like to see how the Cowboys offense reacts if/when they get down by a couple of scores. I still question their ability to run the ball against a good run defense.

Green Bay came off looking pretty one-dimensional tonight. They won't score on Washington's Defense next week much if they don't learn what a running game is. Detroit brought it's #1 passing offense to Fed Ex Field earlier today, but forgot about a running game, and they put up a big THREE points on the scoreboard. Of course, Green Bay is better overall team then Detroit(although I would say Detroit has a better WR core) and I expect them to score more than three points on Washington, but if they play as one-dimensional as they did tonight, and allow Washington's secondary to sit back in the passing lanes, then Farve is going to break his INT record a few times over next Sunday.

The Real World. The Hawaii season changed everything. Say what you want about it now(and I probably wouldn't disagree) but, every season before the Hawaii season was actually about a social experiment consisting of seven unique people living in a house together. Once Hawaii raked in the ratings because of the quasi-relationship between the Amaya and Colin, every season since then has been a mission to find seven very attractive people, who all like to get drunk and hook up. Every season the people are a carbon copy of the people in the previous season. Everyone has a significant other at home that they are sure if they should break up with, within 36 hours of being in the house they have drunk to much or partied to much and cheated....que the "uncomfortable phone call home" Oh and they usually throw in a random gay person who has nothing interesting to say or do besides say "I'm Gay"

Ok well, I know the Lions had the #1 passing offense going into the game today, but they barely ran the ball at all, and expected to win? Greg Williams just eliminated any blitzing and dropped everyone back into the coverage and the Lions offense fell apart. 5 Sacks, 2 INTS(one returned for a TD). Redskins D had their best game of the season. I didn't think it would happen like this, but hell if I am not happy about it. After the dust settled, the Redskins dominate, but the fact that two of their long drives in the 1st quarter ended with no points due to the offense making mistakes, is something that will hurt against a better quality opponent.
-
The Lions are 0-20 or something ridiculous like that @WSH. I don't even consider that a legit reason to pick the Skins though. Detroit's WRs scare me, but overall I feel the Redskins are a better team, so at home I will take them. Washington 31 Lions 20

This is the type of event that I wish I had the spare cash to take full advantage for, but honestly, if I do go, it wil probably be for the ROH show, and anything else taking place on that particular day. Possibly throw in Saturday as well!?!

Yes it is rear projection. I don't have the Dish Network HD box, but I do have an upconvert DVD player(in which I use an HDMI connection), and DVDs look amazing. Sure, it's picture quality might not rank up there with an LCD or Plasma, but for the size and the money I paid for it(and the fact that it came with the upconversion DVD player for free) I am very happy to hold on to it, until the day comes when I am in the financial situation where I can comfortably go out and pay the kind of money it would take to purchase an "ideal" HD TV without having to put it on a credit card.

I can do without backwards compatability if it means a significant price drop. Realistically, 90% of the PS2 games I have, I have beaten, the other ones are sports games that will be replaced in the next season anyway, and the other ones were/are on the verge of being traded in for something else anyway. I have owned a lot of PS2 games through the years, but I was never one to hold on to mass amounts. As long as no big financial suprises come up in the next two months(like a major car repair, or something on that level) I should have enough money put away for the PS3 by the end of November, which will make it a nice Christmas gift for me.

I am still not sure why the same people who pay ridiculous amounts for health insurance, are so opposed to paying a lesser amount that would give them better medical coverage, merely because it might be called a "tax" instead of a "premium" The right-wing loves to use buzzwords like "socialized medicine" because it strikes fear with some people, "OMG Socialized Medicine!?! Isn't that....*duh duh dun* SOCIALISM? AHHHHH" EDIT: What is the Trog board? I tried visiting The Pit the other day, but the page wouldn't open, is The Pit history?

Well basically, Yah!

I guess my guilty pleasure is the fact that when it comes to the radio, I like way more rap/hip hop then any other genre. A lot of the songs are catchy, and they are good for the parties I host. I mean, come on what am I supposed to play in the background when I have people over, Kill Your Mother, Rape Your Dog? I mean, I have a circle of friends that would probably be down for that, but for most parties we host, hip hop is more appropriate for the ambience.

When I make chorizo, I usually make it with eggs, green pepper, and onions. When it is cooked up I throw some tortillas on the warmer, and roll a few of those suckers up. A great breakfast if I may say so. Sometimes we make them with potatoes, but quite frankly, I am the type of person where breakfast foods have a small window of time before my desire for them ends, so waiting for the potatoes to cook can get annoying. When I make it, the chorizo goes in the pan first, it naturally breaks up and looks like the worst quality meat you have ever seen in your life, complete with the greasiest red grease you have ever laid your peepers on, but hey it's chorizo, that is how it is supposed to be. lol. Anyways, when the meat is about 3/4 done throw in the chopped green pepper and onion, break some eggs over it and let it finish cooking as the eggs cook. For an entire pack of Chorizo I use 4 eggs, so adjust accordingly.

If you have one of those corn kernal poppers, this is essentially doing the same thing. When I was a kid, we used the kernal popper all the time, and melted butter in the microwave, and when the popcorn was done popping and into the bowl, we just poured the butter/salt over it. Alton Brown is a food god, I wonder what he considers better to use, a microwave, or one of those old-school kernal poppers.

Clam Linguine w/ white wine & olive oil sauce. 2 (10 ounce) cans baby clams 1 (8 ounce) bottle clam juice (optional) 1/4-1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil 4-6 cloves garlic, chopped fine or put through a garlic press 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper flakes black pepper, freshly ground 1 lb linguine 1/2 cup white wine Heat olive oil in medium sauce pan- when oil is hot, remove pan from burner, add garlic and hot pepper and stir (you want to be careful to not burn the garlic). Add wine and cook off the alchol, about 2-3 minutes. Drain juice from both cans of clams into saucepan, adding additional clam juice if necessary, you should have about 3 cups of liquid, return to low heat. Cook linguini according to package directions. When pasta is ready, add clams to sauce and heat just until clams are heat through. Be careful not to"overcook" the sauce once you have added the clams- the clams will become tough if you do. ******************************************************************************** ********** This recipe is really simple. I just made it for the first time and it was a homerun. For such a small amount of ingredients in the actual sauce, it is very flavorful. A trick I like to use sometimes, is once I add the sauce to the pot of pasta, I cover it and let it mesh together a bit, instead of just serving it right away, because I like my pasta to have the "coated" feel to it, rather then just the look/feel of pasta w/ sauce running off the sides and onto the plate. I also topped mine with a pinch of parmesean cheese, but that is optional. And since I like heat in my food, I doubled up on the red pepper flakes. Also, you probably don't NEED the extra bottle of clam juice, unless you like your pasta extra clammy, or you are making more then this recipe calls for. This should feed 4 people with a dinner appetite. I served it with Steamed Asparagus and French Bread.

IMO, when cooking with shrimp, a lot of people make the mistake of buying already cooked shrimp because they figure it is less work. The problem is, that shrimp is usually meant to be dethawed and eaten cold, not really for cooking because it has already been cooked. Do yourself a favor and buy it uncooked and shelled. It doesn't have to be frozen, but definately get it uncooked, rather then just buying the "heat and serve" style.

So will the PS3 come with a network adapter and/or wi-fi automatically built in, or do you have to purchase something seperate like with the PS2?
