  1. Umm, no. In 1997 he was the first guy to say "stick it" to the nWo and deny their requests to join them. He was also booked to outsmart Hall and Nash a few weeks in a row on Nitro and on PPV. People weren't willing to trust Sting for a long time, yet they turned to DDP to save them for a good while. For the latter part of 1998, Page worked in the Main Event scene with Hogan, while also taking Goldberg "to his limits" at Halloween Havoc, coming thisclose to beating him cleanly (Nash be damned). In fact, he was NOWHERE near the midcard, main eventing four PPV's in a row (Bash At The Beach - Halloween Havoc), while working a high-profile angle with Rodman, Malone AND Leno. ...he was also given the WCW Title a year later. To stay on-topic, I'm REALLY growing weary of Foley being on my television screen. His appearances just don't "mean" anything anymore, to the point where I'm just wondering how his airtime could be put to better use (putting focus on Kane/Taker, Goldberg/Lesnar, HBK/Benoit/HHH, or any of the RAW-only matches).
  2. He finished his career working for Mid-Atlantic (working with Flair) and WWE. His induction is also based on his managerial role in 1991-1995.
  3. It's official...
  4. Bret intefered on Benoit's behalf in 7, which lead to a rematch (Great American Bash '98).
  5. $2,444,930.00. It's the penis, I'm sure.
  6. Extremely horrible circumstances - leave it be. And anyway, the media failed to notice this act, which shows a lot about their slanted views towards wrestling. The IPO was never taken seriously...EVER. The media chalks up the WWE's current "creative and financial hole" to going public back in 1999, giving McMahon the idea to start up his own football league.
  7. Get over it, man...when was the last time ANY wrestling promotion looked good in the public's eyes? Even in a small role, Urlacher was criticized for his performance in TNA, which was just a month or two ago. Basically, it's just better to give yourself free publicity by inducting Pete Rose and making a joke out of the situation. Or that they own WCW's history, which accounts for the main portion of NWA's history. They can do ANYTHING they want with it...hence the Flair DVD, or any video packages that date back to NWA and WCW.
  8. That would also be their real names.
  9. Oregon, with a strong recruiting class and a good core of returning Seniors.
  10. 7. Unbelievably vague, though.
  11. Last list I noticed had: Bowling Green (09/04/04) Florida A&M (09/11/04). Arkansas State (09/25/04). Oregon State has since been confirmed for 9/18 (their only idle week during their season, since they begin a few weeks late). IIRC, the Florida A&M game was called off, so the Sooners were looking for a new opponent to strengthen their schedule.
  12. He was motivated by the fact that it's a honorable tradition in the Pacific. I'm just proud that the guy never lost sight of his heritage, or his family, since the guy's a rapidly growing commodity in Hollywood, and a blossoming actor.
  13. So why are you questioning why Rikishi doesn't have them?
  14. You are right - he has a direct relationship with Solofa (Rikishi) and Rodney (Yokozuna). But, the tattoos aren't required or even suggested to the descendants - Rocky looked into it, and decided to honor his family (everything so far on his upper body/left arm, is the "family seal" or story of his ancestors).
  15. When the report said "OU officials have also been talking with Oregon State officials about a possible two-game series with the Ducks playing at OU on Sept. 18.", he believed that the reporter screwed up. To clear it up, rumor is that Oklahoma would play the Ducks (rumored game) and Beavers (confirmed game) on consecutive weekends. This rumor is a pretty big deal up here in Oregon.
  16. His father was African-American, and I don't remember him being linked to any other wrestlers of Polynesian heritage.
  17. How did I miss this? And more importantly, isn't this kind of a stretch to call those two 'legends'? Would WWE fans even know who they are (and that includes those in the audience)? It didn't happen because it wouldn't have helped Orton one bit. Both guys are well-known to fans in the Portland area - they worked for Portland Wrestling in the early 80's with a few mainstays (Piper being one) and many passing through from time to time (Flair, Hennig, Martel and Rocky Johnson to name a few).
  18. I was going to get that box too, however one of the PPVs, I believe Bad Blood doesn't have one of those tags they said to send in (from the bottom of the insert). Anyone else have that problem? It's Vengeance you're referring to. Check WWEShopzone.com for more details on how to receive the POP for that particular DVD.
  19. It's an alias, according to WWE. The name on the wedding invitation in that 1999 angle read "Andrew Martin", not "Andrew 'Test' Martin" or the like. Edge and Christian were more than happy to reveal their real names during their "Before They Were Superstars" segment on Confidential last summer - WWE didn't blur out their name, when it came to showing their childhood trophies.
  20. They were playing to the effect of "HOLY SHIT, Bischoff is on RAW...I better call up my old WCW buddies and tell them to watch this".
  21. He debuted on HEAT and RAW as a bodyguard for Motley Crue (don't know if there's any legit background behind this) back in 1998. The concert happened a few weeks before he actually did anything in-ring, where he attacked Triple H during a match with the Corporation, I believe. Anyway, the name "Test" is based off of the mic/speaker check of "Test, test, this is a test", hence the concert tie-in to his gimmick.
  22. Exactly. Why is it that people need the Sledgehammer of Logic to pound the point home?
  23. Winner of the battle royal faces the current champion later in the show.
  24. In the past three weeks: Backlash 2004. 'cause Stone Cold said so'. Chappelle Show: Season One. Devil's Advocate. Remember The Titans. Rudy. Traffic. The Monday Night War. X-Men/X2 Boxset.
  25. Can't forget about Nash being arrested for breaking the "No Jackknife Powerbombs" stipulation back in early 1998, complete with "Attica" chants.
