We were talking about elevating a midcard guy mostly and Dreamer was a good test case.

Don't worry,Choken...we figured that into the equation too. Basically,since the Rumble can usually be narrowed down to anywhere from 1-3 people who are going to win since they added the Wrestlemania title shot stipulation....we figured a guy like Dreamer could win it and add some more unpredictability to it. Dreamer,a midcard/low midcard guy and an underdog who is still over with the crowds for the most part, gets into the Rumble,wins it......JR puts it over Foley-esque. Dreamer from Yonkers,NY is getting his dream title shot at Wrestlemania 20 in his hometown. Bischoff balks at the whole idea of midcard Dreamer getting a title shot at such a prestigious event and does everything he can to try and get the shot away from him. Handicap matches and such crazy stips but Dreamer keeps escaping and pulling off upsets. The crowds would,hopefully, be heavily behind him by the time No Way Out comes around. Put him in another match at that ppv. If the crowds aren't with him at that point,take the title shot away from him. Personally,I'd have him escape at the ppv and then if it's not working,take the shot away from him at the next Raw. If it is working,let them run with it. It'll still give them time to hype whoever beats Dreamer vs the champ at Wrestlemania......it would get Dreamer more over in theory and at least for one year,add some drama to the Rumble.

I'll watch a Tommy Dreamer match long before a Goldust match. Youth N Asia and I cooked up a scenario where a guy like Dreamer could win the Royal Rumble but I don't have time to go into detail because of work.

Koko is wrestling in Memphis......I'm pretty sure he wrestled on Memphis tv last weekend. I saw him live last summer in Mid South Coliseum and in Huntingdon,TN. He's put on some weight but he was a badass heel. Vicious little SOB. But I think he's wrestling face now.

I like the guy. I can completely understand why people don't like him but he entertains me ...along with his interaction with Ron McLean. And he's only on about 5 minutes a show. I don't see how he taints it that bad. And the rest of HNIC's coverage is great. I'll watch any game on CBC before ESPN. If you don't live within reach of a Canadian station,I think the only hope is DirecTV or something. That's how I get to see it in Missouri. The NHL package.

Finally rented it....watched it...watched the alternate endings......this is the first time in a long time that I felt I truly wasted 2 hours watching a film. Most overhyped film I've had the misfortune of sitting through in years.

I don't think OMG even got to the car. It seems like Kerry and/or Kevin intercepted him and just when it all looked calm......Gino swiped OMG's chain that David Manning was carrying....and then Gino and Chris set about smashing the windshield in. I think Kevin had won it by getting the final pin in a 10 man tag at the Cotton Bowl. I hated David Manning...he'd always come down to ringside and friggin reverse all the heel's wins into dqs. Didn't they hold up the American title between Jimmy Garvin and David Von Erich 4 or 5 times? Anyway, Chris Adams was my favorite thing about World Class and Kevin was the only Von Erich I liked.

As a manager,I always preferred Jim Cornette. No slam to Heenan but I was rarely ever drawn into anything he did as a manager whereas I could watch Cornette all the time.

Bundy was never perceived as a legit title threat. He was a monster to go against Hogan and that's all. And he was never that over. At least Sid was over to a point.

You don't see much of the match OUTSIDE of the bumps when they recap it. Heck, I can barely remember the finish." Without the bumps,they wrestle a different match.though. They had done some pretty good brawls with each other earlier in their careers. The match would have been hampered by Taker's foot but I'm sure they would have worked around it. I don't even think calling them "bumps" gives Foley enough credit. In the basic definition,they were. But they were the 2 of the most shocking,high profile bumps we had seen in the US at the time. But it became a 'horribly boring match' because of the after affects of Foley's work. He wasn't gonna get up and from those and continue with some **** brawl but I'll give him credit for trying.

Honky came into the WWF as a face,didn't he? Then they did some sort of fan poll and they didn't like him so he turned heel......

In the Midnight Express vs Midnight Express feud ,Cornette was a face. Bundy was a face in an AWA feud teaming with Jerry Blackwell against the Road Warriors (I think) Bockwinkel feuded with Zybysko in the AWA as a face after Larry clocked him with nunchuks (sp) People kept claiming Steamboat was being heelish in TNA but I don't think he ever officially turned. I would have a hard time including that anyway since he wasn't an active wrestler at that point. Most of Downhome's list I haven't seen..but I can't believe I forgot the goody-goody Gagnes. And Magnum only wrestled about 5 or 6 years didn't he?

Why would any of these people really want to help Austin keep his job?
