EWR 4.0 Has Officially Been Set Free!

Recommended Posts

Ok... This post not really has anything to do with EWR, but more about Adam, except I didn't feel like writing up a new thread.

Anyways, due to one of the owners (Joe Stalling) of .400 Studios doing something complete against the LLC agreement (think that's what it was) that he had with the other owners and being a complete jerk about selling his shares in the company back at fair market value (as per the agreement), Adam Ryland (as well as Arlie Rahn and Gary Gorski) have resigned from .400 Studios. This probably also signifies the dissolution of the .400 Studios company which means the company will be no more soon.

Thought I should make mention of that tidbit.

Hi Lightning Flik,

Yeah, I chatted briefly with Adam about it, and he is searching for a new company, which, from the sounds of it, he'll get sooner than later. I think he and the Total Pro Basketball gang are working together in search of that company. In the meantime, he's got two other new projects going on. I felt bad for a second when I heard the news, because I'm planning on purchasing a new PC soon, which has delayed my purchase of TEW (yeah, believe it or not, I haven't bought the game). I was at least reassured that everything's still cool and that Adam - not the company asswhipes - will still get the coin if I still buy the game.

Marty, since you know about EWR and the like a helluva lot more that I do, do you know where I can find EWR 1.4? I enjoyed that game more than any version released so far, but my Google searches have resulted in nothing so far...

:) Didn't realize he had TWO projects though. I only knew that he was working on TEW 2005.

It's a good thing to know that they won't be getting my money should I ever decide to buy TEW2004. But I think I will wait till the next version.

If you forked out extra money for the PPV (like a concert or fireworks), that usually contributes to a money loss for the month.

Well that explains it. I upped my Training Camp. Thanks for the help.

I'll think about buying it - provided he works out the bugs this time PRIOR to release.

The problem with Adam's release of his product, is he did what silly programmers sometimes do. They don't go thinking a program doesn't work (which is how you are supposed to do it) now let's make it work, but instead had the frame of mind that it did work so why isn't it.

By the way, assuming your program doesn't work is a sure sign of making sure you get all the bugs out of it. :)

After programming the EW, EWR series, I think I could understand if he did that. Then again, I am taking programming, so maybe I'm just covering for him unintentionally.

Or how about this? If he's putting TEW 2005 out himself, or even if he just has a new company backing him, how about he doesn't even release the game until he's fully completed it and has tested it quite extensively to determine what the bugs are and what needs to be done to correct them prior to release.

No offense to the guy, but if I were to buy TEW 2005, I would like to do so without having to download a shitload of patches as well.

A EWR 4.0 question, how long does it take for someone to get their lazy asses out of rehab? (I'm looking at YOU Aries...)

Some people it take's 2-3 months. If you got a guy who is known for going into rehab, maybe 4-6 months. AJ Style's went in and didn't come out for three months. JBL went in for about seven months, and then I released him

I deleted my copy of EWR months ago and now I want to play again but can't find any sites where I can download it from. Anyone know where I can find EWR 4.5?

Well, hell, I got fired in my game yesterday and I'm not sure why. I had just regained national (after dropping back to cult for about three weeks or so) and my finances were fine.

I could never make any headway on IWA-PR though. They were national at about 35% PI while I was hovering around 10% PI. And every damn week, the weekly report would keep knocking back down any upwards PI progress I had made because I didn't fare well in the comparison to them.

Bitches.

I'm doing WCW 93 or 94. I forgot, because in my game , it says its 2004.

So in my game, I pretty much got rid of all the dead weight, kept around the main guys, built up new talent, and kept some old guys to help build new stars. I'm about a year and 10 months in, with a couple months until Starcade. In two year's, I've had two world champions. Sting had the title in the scenario, and Flair beat him for the title soon after. Hes had the belt and hasn't dropped it since. The problem was, I didn't have many challengers for Flair beside Sting, cause my roster was pretty blah. I tried to put Luger with him, but Luger sucked, so I dropped him.

Before I go any further, I have to talk about the Horseman. In the scenario, the Horseman were Flair, Double A, and Sid. I'm not that good with WCW history, so I wasn't sure if that was right. I tried to let Sid put new talent over, but he wasn't working with me. His moral went down to like zero, so I kicked him out of the Horseman. Later that night, Curt Henning debuted, joined the Horseman, and cost Sting the World title. Fast foward 8 months later, where Barry Windham is kicked out of the horseman. Windham didn't do any complaining or anything, he just didn't do much. The only thing he did do right was tag with Arn in a great feud for the tag titles against The Great Muta and Jushin Thunder Liger. They took over the spot as main face tag team, because the Steiners were just sucking. So later that night, Jeff Jarret (who I built up as a big face) turns heel, joins the Horseman, and you guessed it, costs Sting the World Title. I'm gonna blow off the Sting/Flair feud at Starcade, with Sting FINALLY winning the belt.

Some other feuds I've got going -

Pillman/Jarret. When Jarret joined the Horseman, he "disrespected" WCW. Pillman is defending the honor of WCW, which is going to lead to a huge blowoff at Starcade.

Liger/Austin. Liger just lost the tag titles due to Austin and Camp Cornette. They'll fight over the US Title, leading into a match at Starcade and beyond.

Al Snow/Cactus Jack. This has been one of my favorite feuds. Before I started it, Cactus hadn't really done anything since I brought him in. It's done huge things for both guys, and its been pretty easy to book considering the multi man match possibilities I have with the rest of New Generation and Vader and Rude.

Diamond Kings/Douglas and Scorpio. Just a feud to get Scorpio and Douglas get going as a team, and to keep developing the Diamond Mind. Not sure who to put over. With Tully injured and Hansen in rehab, Dusty evens the odds in this feud with a 6 man tag at Starcade.

Muta/Vader. Just a feud to get Vader going as I'm going to fued him and Sting for the World Title.

Another thing I have going is a TON of stables.

The Horseman (Heel) - Flair, Arn, Henning and Jarret

The Diamond Kings (Heel) - Diamond Dallas Page, Kevin Stud, Scott Cash

New Generation (Face) - Al Snow, Lion Heart, and Lance Storm

The Alliance (Heel) - Vader, Rick Rude, Cactus Jack

Camp Cornette (Heel) - "Stunning" Steve Austin, James E. Cornette, Jimmy Garvin, Michael P.S Hayes, and Steven Regal

The Union (Face) - Dusty Rhodes, Tully Blanchard, and Stan Hansen

Other random cool things I've done are, make Steve Austin a upper mid carder as his old Hollywood Blond gimmick, make Al Snow a loveable face, made Brian Pillman an upper mid carder, made Shane Douglas and Too Cold Scorpio a credible tag team, and built up Jushin Thunder Liger and The Great Muta as main eventers.

I know this was a pretty long post, but I'm bored.

Bob, I'm sorry, but I can't seem to find it. I don't have it on my harddrive and the site that formerly had it up (it's main site) doesn't seem to be up anymore.

I might've missed it, but otherwise, I'm afraid I'm useless in this case.

Hey, I'm thinking of making a scenario entitled Legion of Champions. It's a scenario of all the great champions from the past 30 years. Here is what I've got so far:

WWWF/WWF/WWE:

Triple H

Hulk Hogan

Bret Hart

Stone Cold Steve Austin

Bruno Sammartino

Bob Backuland

The Rock

Pedro Morales

NWA/WCW:

Jack Brisco

Harley Race

Terry Funk

Ric Flair

Vader

Sting

AWA:

Verne Gagne

Nick Bockwinkle

Curt Henning

Rick Martel

Stan Hansen

WCCW:

Rick Rude

Kerry Von Erich

Memphis:

Jerry Lawler

Mid-South:

Ted DiBiase

I need help on TV Stations, other wrestlers, announcers and stuff like that.
