I liked Mortis but, I don't get why the WWE doesn't realize that the Kanyon character is a brilliant mid-card heel if you don't bury him by jobbing him to Orlando Jones and Funaki. I don't know because I never saw any of the monk vignettes. Well, James Vandenburg was his manager, and I doubt they've signed him. And the monk "vignettes" weren't really vignettes. Benoit got a standing ovation at the Rumble, and was mired in the midcard Rhyno angle that went nowhere until the US Title finals. We know Vince is out of touch, but it's like beating a dead horse. He would still be over without wearing the mask.
