Guest mst3krules Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 He got buried and left there (I guess). How to explain his eventual comeback?
Guest One Trick Pony Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Well it writes itself if he's going back to Deadman. If he doesn't, they can just say unburied himself.
Steviekick Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Either that or he was resurrected by MORTIS~!
Guest M. Harry Smilac Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Maybe for Kane, necrophilia just isn't doing it for him anymore and he will decide he wants some gay incest necrophilic action and dig up Taker Hey it's the WWE...never know
Damaramu Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 I'm guessing he's just going to show back up as the Deadman and say something like "Kane...you buried me...but you unburied a nightmare from your past!"
cawthon777 Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 (edited) How is this even an issue? He was buried in 96. All it took for him to get out was a thunderbolt. ...Forgot, Austin buried him too. He was back on TV after that well before the Rumble. Way to sell. Edited November 17, 2003 by cawthon777
haVoc Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Booooooooo. I wanted to see Funaki in Undertaker clothes get raised to the roof.
Open the Muggy Gate Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Ok, let's use WWE logic here... The Undertaker will come back and never even mention he drove a bike around for 3 years and be back as the deadman. He will never mention the buried alive moment with Kane and will go after him just because "he can". Hey, that's how Taker wanted to fight Vince. Because "he can". And that is WWE logic. Why?? Because it makes no damn sense.
iamsherm Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 How is this even an issue? My thoughts exactly. This is the same company that had Triple H fall 50 feet in a car and portrayed Kane's car crashing straight into the side of a semi, not to mention the man also being tossed into a flaming dumpster. Neither man came away with much more than a few cuts and bruises and were back wrestling a couple weeks later. That said, I'm not too concerned for Taker's well-being.
Cran Da Maniac Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 It was Taker's Hillbilly cousin that got buried actually.
razazteca Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 I was Brian Lee who got buried at the PPV.
Guest The Old Me Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 How is this even an issue? He was buried in 96. All it took for him to get out was a thunderbolt. ...Forgot, Austin buried him too. He was back on TV after that well before the Rumble. Way to sell. Exactly. Hell, if they wanted, they'd write him into Smackdown this Thursday.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Booooooooo. I wanted to see Funaki in Undertaker clothes get raised to the roof. "Numbah one-uh ress-oo-wected Smack-uh-down cohpse!"
The Dames Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Isn't it funny how Taker is 1-4 is his "signature" match and the only time he did win, it was a tag match and he was a heel? Dames
ChrisMWaters Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Isn't it funny how Taker is 1-4 is his "signature" match and the only time he did win, it was a tag match and he was a heel? Dames Um, he won the Buried Alive match with Mankind. It's just they had a heel beatdown post-match, that caused him to be buried. EDIT: Also, isn't this one of 3 different Undertaker Signature Matches, the other two being Casket and Body Bag?
Guest ligerbomb03 Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 EDIT: Also, isn't this one of 3 different Undertaker Signature Matches, the other two being Casket and Body Bag? And Hell In A Cell?
ChrisMWaters Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 EDIT: Also, isn't this one of 3 different Undertaker Signature Matches, the other two being Casket and Body Bag? And Hell In A Cell? That's become more of Foley's signature match than Taker's. Just because of the one big bump.
Guest Mercutio X. Machina Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Him and Kane in Inferno matches, too.
MrRant Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 And Biker Chain matches or whatever the hell he had while being Biker Taker.
Lightning Flik Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Can we just drop the speciality matches that are particular to a certain character? Most people lose them.
JJMc Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Did anyone else notice that they didn't even announce McMahon as the winner or play his music? I thought that was kind of strange.
ChrisMWaters Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Did anyone else notice that they didn't even announce McMahon as the winner or play his music? I thought that was kind of strange. That means... THE MATCH NEVER ENDED! OH NO! Seriously, it was probably just a slip up...or they wanted to play off of the drama of Taker being buried alive.
Slayer Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 And the No-selling-of-opponent's-offense match
NoCalMike Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 I am still holding out hope that UT says buried.
Guest KJ Brackish Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 You all know that they'll show little video vignettes leading up to a GRAND return of the Deadman. I'm sort of supposing that he defects to Raw, considering how they don't want inter-brand matches. They will do vignettes like the ones of the little girls playing "Ring around the rosey" and saying......"He's Coming..." in their freaky little voices. You all know the WWE way of doing things. DFA
TheFranchise Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 Oh come on, you ALL know HIAC now belongs to Triple H.
Guest Plushy Al Logan Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 Did anyone else notice that they didn't even announce McMahon as the winner or play his music? So was the nWo's first match.
Damaramu Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 Yeah I did notice how the ending totally put Kane over. Vince was nowhere to be seen but Kane was all over it...not that I'm complaining.....
Guest Trivia247 Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 Yeah I did notice how the ending totally put Kane over. Vince was nowhere to be seen but Kane was all over it...not that I'm complaining..... well Vince was too busy curled up in the fetile position while his Skull was growing cold from the loss of blood. its important damn work to Blade so bad you cut a artery and still manage to win.
Guest Luke Cage Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 He got buried and left there (I guess). How to explain his eventual comeback? "Vince printed up a bunch of Dead Man Undertaker shirts that he wants to sell"
