Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 11 of the top 14 are Western conference teams and bottom 10 features 9 East teams and the Clippers, anyone surprised? Thought not.

alfdogg 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 Well, right now we're at 12-2, best in the league. We start our West coast road trip Sunday, as we play at the Lakers and at Phoenix in probably our toughest back to backer of the season. So we'll find out how good we really are next week. To be honest, I would have had us at No. 3 behind Dallas, simply because of our ineptness at holding big leads.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2003 Well if the Spurs ever get that consistent pure scorer that they need they shall do well this season. Too many players think pass to Tim Duncan 1st and shoot 2nd. Can Ron Mercer stay healthy enough to be productive this year?
Guest Just J Report post Posted November 28, 2003 Noway Dallas and Indiana are 2 & 3. But the Lakers are in the exact place they should be.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2003 I am surprised that LA, NYC, NJ are not 1,2,3 since those cities are the center of the world concerning sports. Lakers are good but they have been exposed as having a very weak bench, once the Hall of Fame All Stars hit the bench the team begins to bring the suck. Guest The Rising Star Report post Posted November 28, 2003 Trenton isn't exactly the center of the sports world. Utah is doing good, but I bet Lakers will lose more than 15 games this season. They don't have a chance at Bulls 72-10 record.
ANKLELOCK 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2003 GREAT sig alfdogg. Love it. And I think the Pacers have a big chance at unseating the almighty West. But I think they will lose in seven. To the Jazz. *sniff*

Lakers bench isn't as bad as people say it is, Shaq misses two games and the lakers win both games by like 25 each, the one gae they had 8 guys with at least ten points. Against the Spurs last night Shaq only scored 7 points yet they dominated that game also. Plus Rick Fox is still injured so when he comes back the Lakers will be even better. EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2003 They dominated because they still have Payton, Malone, and Bryant. The Lakers bench is the shits, but it will take two injuries before that becomes a serious problem.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2003 New Jersey is the center of the sports world? Well when "NYC" teams play in stadiums located in NJ then yes. New Jersey is more or less the parking lot for New York.

Devean George - starter, improved alot Derek Fisher - Started for the Lakers all three Championships Rick Fox - same as Fisher Horace Grant - Gets the job done when Shaq and/or Malone are out and Slav Medvenkov has been awesome since he returned don't forget Kareem Rush and Jannero Pargo and Luke Walton, most people had him as the best passer in this years draft

Be thankful that they don't have the NHL rule of "if you lead the division, you get an auto playoff spot. Sadly, they do. Not that it would matter noww, given the divisional structure, but that's the rule they're going to be implementing under realignment next year.

alfdogg 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 That was sarcasm, in case you couldn't tell by the smiley. The Kings probably will beat the Pacers. They are the hottest team in the NBA right now, having won eight straight, and Miller and Peja can do no wrong. Plus, Artest has had back spasms, so I don't know what kind of shape he'll be in. Cartman 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 Sad thing is I feel bad for Pierce. Alot of people are saying he ain't nothin without Walker and whatnot. Fact is there's noone else to do anything to help him. I strongly believe this season was a tank job by Ainge so he can build a team the way HE wants it. Especially if they get a high 1st round pick along with Dallas' pick in the 1st. Then they can even get a mid level exemption player. I think next year will be a real good Celtics team, and even better in 2006. This year is a wash, and lets face it, with Pierce and Walker and no Center or PG this team wouldnt win a championship anyways.
Guest J-Rock Report post Posted December 3, 2003 As a native Memphian, I'm surprised more than anyone that they're rank that high. We beat some of the top teams, but due to lack of leadership and defense we're a below .500 team. If J-Will, Gasol, and Miller would step up and become leaders like Battie, we could have a playoff run.

If J-Will, Gasol, and Miller would step up and become leaders like Battie, we could have a playoff run. Whoa whoa whoa....What exactly is that I have seen J will doing if that isn't leader ship. Jason Williams becoming one of the best PG's in the league is one of the NBA's best kept secrets now. All it took was a sorry team, and a couple years of maturity and he cut out the erratic shooting (although you can see the look of glee on his face when the shot clock is running down or its the end of the quarter and he can't get yelled at for letting it fly) and hotdogging to become a incredibly solid PG that I THINK led the league in assist to turnover ratio last year and was 3rd (or 2nd) in assist. He and Battie have been INCREDIBLY solid this year, and if Miller and Gasol could get a little more consistant, you are looking at one hell of a team.
