Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2003 So what kind of salsa do you like on your taco chips, and other mexican foods? If available, Hot Sauce. There has to be a good sized amount of peppers, and tomatos on the chip has well.

Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2003 Eating lots of Thai food has taught me one lesson - it's not how you take it going in, it's how you deal with it coming out... Amen to that. I'm usually ok with the hot stuff, but when it's bad, it's real bad. I do enjoy the hottest of everything. I don't like chunks of tomato in my salsa though, I don't like tomato at all, except ketchup and pasta sauce (as long as there's no chunks).
Slayer 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2003 I like to enjoy the right mix of spice and flavor, so I suppose medium works for me. I don't like it when it's so spicy that I can't enjoy the flavor
Guest Choken One Report post Posted December 9, 2003 As long as it's not Oniony...I'm all for hotness.
Lando Griffin 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2003 (edited) There was a really badass link about hot sauces on Fark a while back, but I can't find it. EDIT: Found it. Not about salsa, more like Tobasco type sauce. But prepare to be freaked out. kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2003 I don't care for salsa. "These people" are already taking over our jobs, I'm not letting them take over my dinner table, too...
Swift Terror 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2003 I have tried the Imus in the Morning "Fred's Southwest Salsa". It was fucking great, best I've ever had. Don't remember if it was medium or hot, but it rocked.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2003 Just the mild red salsa for me, but when it is homemade salsa "mild" is a subjective term.
Dr. Tom 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2003 I usually go for the medium. The Hot kinds just tend to taste more hot than anything, and I don't like spice when it overpowers whatever the food is normally supposed to taste like. Locally, there's a blue crab salsa available that is teh r0x0r, but I usually stick to the conventional kind.
KanadianKrusty 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 I like mine medium-hot with LOTS of tomatoes.
Guest ToddRoyal Report post Posted December 10, 2003 I don't like the stuff that's just sauce. I need chunks of STUFF to scoop up with my chip. I usually go for medium hotness, as because other people have mentioned, the real hot stuff tends to completely mask the flavor of what you're actually eating. Guest Skironox Report post Posted December 10, 2003 Fact - I am Latino Fact - I spent a significant part of my misspent youth in New Mexico, land of the hot, hotter, and hottest chile. Fact - I despise anything the least bit spicy. I can't eat one seed from a jalapeno without crying.
the max 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 I usually get mild. It's got a kick to it, but not enough to practically kill me.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 To me Mild Salsa is nasty because the salsa juice is like water......ewww. I usually go with medium since most people in my circle of friends/family can deal with that. On Tacos I like the green sauce.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted December 12, 2003 I don't like mild and I like flavor more than heat, so medium for me.
SpikeFayeJettEdBebop 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2003 Ah...Medium is fine with me, I can eat whatever's already in the fridge(unless im getting some, then its Medium). Anyway, Salsa is good, and its gotta have something to scoop up, or else....well yeah...or else its like water...which sucks.
Guest TheArchiteck Report post Posted December 12, 2003 My salsa HAS to be chunky. I had this one salsa with Habanero peppers. I'mma tell you now, if you never had Habanero peppers....your not a man. lol Seriously, that was some insanly hot salsa. But the tomatoes and onions and everything else in it was sooooo fresh....but since I was bawling like a baby, I didn't realize it. After that, I've bought some Habenero bbq sauce....to sort of train myself. First taste, i'm in tears. I started putting it on meats and stuff and eventually built up a resistance towards it. I mean its still hot but at least I can enjoy the flavor for it. I can't imagine how stuff with habanero extract in it would taste.

Guest Nacho Nixon Report post Posted December 14, 2003 Dynamite hot, and preferably chunky. If there are chipotle peppers in it, that's bonus points. Not the hottest peppers around by any means, but man, smoked hot peppers are one of mankind's greatest innovations.

Guest Goodear Report post Posted December 17, 2003 I never did get the facination with eating stuff that causes you pain. Seriously, what's the point of hurting yourself by chowing down on the hotest salsa you can find?
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2003 I have yet to find a salsa that was too hot for my taste buds. And I want lime flavor too, that always helps it out.
