Dr. Octopus looks awesome and he was my biggest concern at least as far as visuals go. Let's hope the script holds up it's end.

I'm not going to care until Venom is involved, and hopefully Carnage as well.

Venom has a huge backstory to fit in. And before you have Carnage, you have to have Venom. I honestly don't want them brought in. I was a big Venom fan in the nineties, but Marvel overexposed the character. I don't see the character being done justice on the big screen.

I hope they stick with more classic Spider-Man villains.

They should've introduced the Eddie Brock character in this one then.

When Spidey was still in theaters, I read rumors of a Venom spin-off movie possibly being made in the future.

A spin-off movie is the only way I'd want to see Venom now. The on going storyline for the Spider-Man movie franchise is Green Goblin and his son and we don't need another major storyline. Start doing too many storylines and it'll turn into Batman.

Besides a movie with Venom should be r-rated and a Spider-Man movie shouldn't be r-rated. Spidey just isn't an r-rated type of character.

Save me from the Venom fan boys. I liked the character in his first appearance, but never understood why he was so popular. In fact, I actively disliked him. Oh well, I hope they stick to some of Spidey's classic villians for the first few movies and keep the hard-to-explain Venom and even-harder-to-explain (and frankly annoying) Carnage as far away from the films as possible.

I'd love to see Lizard, Electro, Sandman, Kraven, or Chameleon.

I'd much prefer the classic villains as well.

What I think should happen in 3:

Spider-Man fights the Lizard for the first part of the movie until Harry goes full blown heel and shows up as the Green Goblin II.

Then part 4, Harry recruits the Sinister Six, pick who you want, to go after Spider-Man.

Oh god.......Raimi you'd better not mess this one up! If I hear you say "Well I didn't think that "blah blah blah" I will hunt your ass down! I don't care what you thought. I care what the original creators thought. You didn't make Spider Man.......so quit acting like it!

How did he mess the first one up? It was as true to the original as you were gonna get without getting too hokey and outlandish. Granted the entire concept is pretty unbelievable, but the way it was represented felt genuine to me.

And the purple booties had to go. I don't care what anyone says.

Agreed. I liked the first one for what it was, but it was far from the best superhero/comic book movie ever. I honestly still don't understand why it gets so much love. Decent summer movie? yes. Worthy of over 400 million? no. With all that said they have really improved on how well the main villian looks. I love the new Doc Oc, and the trailer is very sweet. I will be there first day. Hopefully I will like this one more.

Wasn't Harry the one who became Hobgoblin? So shouldn't that mean in part three that Harry becomes Hob for the main battle?

I still don't like the ending to Spiderman cause it was a cop out (god, she is still your friend and villians will always go after female friends) but I enjoyed the conflict and story and how Spidey was written.

This looks very good but it'll be hard pressed to touch the numbers of part 1.

Harry didn't become Hobgoblin.

That was oh what's his face. Nathan something. Then Jason Phillip Macendale...the Jack O Lantern...killed him and became the Hobgoblin.

Also an evil demon fused with the Hobgoblin and turned him into a real life demon. Then he split from the demon forming the Demogoblin.

Yes it's confusing.

Ned Leeds, reporter for the Bugle and husband of Betty Brant, one of Spidey's past loves. His death was first revealed in Spider-Man vs. Wolverine.

Here's his bio.

In fact, he's not even the original Hobgoblin… he was the third. Here's the original.
