Steviekick 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2004 That's actually cool looking. I hope they don't have to foot the bill for it. So they are using the hexagon ring?
Astro101 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2004 I like their entrance. Hopefully this is the start of something big. Hmm there are two entrances...maybe one for heels and one for faces? Or the return of SEX!...nah
SinToxic 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2004 Somewhere El Dandy is choreographing a five star match.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted May 31, 2004 I like the setup and I'm really interested to see how this six-sided ring will play out in matches.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2004 Wait. They were serious about using the six-sided ring? I don't know about all of you, but I'm not a very big fan of that thing.
BoboBrazil 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2004 I don't get the 6 sided ring thing because they will be hyping their ppvs on this show and on their ppvs they use a 4 sided ring. If they are switching to 6 sided they should do all matches on both shows in a 6 sided ring.
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2004 They're still doing PPVs *every* week??? They're going to lose even more cash now, PPV-wise, methinks. FSN isn't a strong enough market to A) attract that many more PPV-purchases EVERY week and B) get people to buy a "new" (for the first time viewers) show on PPV that they're just seeing for free for the 1st time. Have one a month, jeez...like...you now have a TV show every week to attract free audiences. Use it, wisely.

People never go for this kind of change. It's like the glow puck. Ha, that's true. I'm all for change though, it's just that I don't like the six-sided ring. I've watched AAA (I believe that's where they use that type of ring all of the time) enough to know that I just am not a big fan of it.
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2004 I watched XPlosion the one time I saw it on the listings (FSN Atlantic,) and I'll give Impact! a try. I will continue to not buy the PPVs, though.
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2004 Somewhere El Dandy is choreographing a five star match. LMAO. I can see the AAA guys in the hexaring. I really can't imagine seeing Jeff Jarrett in it at all.
Blade2kxx 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2004 Is it just me, or does the 6 Sided Ring look... well... tiny? It looks smaller than a WCW ring!
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2004 I noticed it looked a little small as well. Tag matches must look like crap in them. And since they are small, I think workers would be petrified of doing top rope stuff in fear of overshooting the move and falling out.
TheBigSwigg 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2004 I wonder how this will play out since they are filming it in a soundstage. Soundstages are typically soundproofed, so now the crowds will sound even more dead than in the Asylum.
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2004 They prolly have the audience mic'd. In postproduction, they'll just boost the crowd noise.
Tawren 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2004 The six sided ring worked fine in T2P (I've seen very little AAA that uses it) but I can't see it working for TNA.
Vyce 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2004 The six-sided ring doesn't really work for AAA. Hmm.....probably because AAA, for the most part, sucks ass. I don't think it'll work for anything other than X-Division matches.
Epic Reine 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2004 *marks out for Shane Douglas vs. Jeff Jarrett in a 6-sided ring*
tekcop 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2004 Somewhere El Dandy is choreographing a five star match. LMAO. I can see the AAA guys in the hexaring. I really can't imagine seeing Jeff Jarrett in it at all. Well, I'd say Jarrett's more talented than about 80% of AAA's non-mini's rosters. Besides, while you might know, Jarrett, Michael Shane, and David Young have all wrestled in a six-sided ring before in AAA.
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2004 I wasn't aware of Jarrett, Shane, and Young wrestling in AAA in the hexaring. Personally, I've never seen a match in one so I'm quite skeptical in general.
