Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted October 19, 2004 Saturday's was pretty good, even if Miroku grabbing her ass at the end was predictable. I liked the episode with Shippo's duel quite a bit too.
Guest Fook Report post Posted October 19, 2004 Duckman While not an all-time classic like Simpsons or Family Guy, it deserved a lot more recognition than it got.

He trained his freaking panda to put me in a bag! You know, I'm surprised no one else has mentioned "Undergrads" yet. Or better yet, "Home Movies". Now that was a kick ass show

Guest Reservoir_Kitty Report post Posted October 19, 2004 I like a ton of cartoons, somedays it's all I manage to watch. Most of TV sucks, know what I mean? Here's some of my faves: Duckman The Critic The Tick Rocko's Modern Life Venture Brothers Aqua Teen Hunger Force Sealab 2021 - earlier seasons, the new ones without Cap. Murphy kinda suck Lupin the 3rd FLCL Hellsing Detective Conan/Case Closed - animation's kinda lame, but the shows are clever Home Movies Inuyasha - gotta second the love for this Oggy and the Cockroaches - hysterical! Anyone else seen this? God, I could go on forever, those are just off the top of my head.

Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2004 Where the hell is the Samurai Pizza Cats love?! Am I the only person who loved that show? Come on, it was so funny! *crickets chirp* ...I guess I am. I also give my cartoon watching love to InuYasha, The Tick, and Witch Hunter Robin.
godthedog 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2004 I remember when I was really young a Saturday morning lineup that included a show called "Karate Cat" and one called "Tiger Sharks." Don't really remember anything about either of them. Can anyone confirm or amplify this?
EricMM 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2004 Check the avatar of course. Rocko's Modern Life was so gold. I really like the Gen-X son of the neighbors. And the little Poo's. And Eek the cat.
Vyce 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2004 Disney's "Gargoyles". I think the show gets some respect, but frankly, not enough, since I truly believe it's one of the best animated programs of all time. I would have to second "Freakazoid". I think it only ran for two seasons and it deserved far more. Oh, and Flik - I LOVED "Samurai Pizza Cats". I'd die to get my hands on some copies of the show. DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2004 You've got to respect the Cats. They've got more fur than any turtle ever had. My sources tell me that Speedy Servichi is a heck of a fighter who makes a heck of a lunch.
Ced 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2004 Where the hell is the Samurai Pizza Cats love?! Am I the only person who loved that show? Come on, it was so funny! *gives a thumbs up* It was fun to watch as a kid, even if it never made much sense. Exploding bunny princess! EDIT: And the Samurai Pizza Cats fans come out of the woodwork. ROCK~! Freakazoid definitely never gets enough love. Pisses me off that there weren't more episodes of it. Venture Bros is definitely a great title in the making, but I wouldn't consider it a show that doesn't get enough attention since it's relatively new. AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2004 Pizza Cats and Gargoyles both slipped my mind. I like them but I never was a morning person so I almost never saw them, plus the Gargoyles eps on Toon Disney are the inferior later eps. We're getting a box set for Gargoyles starting with the first eps. Dunno if it is all of season 1 or just a dozen or so ep, though. Critic and Duckman I also forgot about. I watched those ALL THE TIME on Sunday nights on Comedy Central, even seeing the same eps about a dozen times. Freakazoid was pretty decent, as was EWJ, but neither of them were great to me. "Hellsing" Borrowed the DVDs, and loving it. I haven't seen much, when memories of that awful Van Helsing movie creep into my mind, I check it out.
Highland 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2004 Count me in on the Samurait Pizza Cats fandom, I loved that show. I also agree that Gargoyles is one of the better animated series of all time, and yes it did plummet in quality during its last season.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2004 Oh, and Flik - I LOVED "Samurai Pizza Cats". I'd die to get my hands on some copies of the show. Heh... It was so off the wall and so outrageously insane. I always got up for it every single morning on Saturdays. Sadly, it was on at like 8:30 (right after Sonic The Hedgehog). I really thought the crickets would be chirping on the love of the Samurai Pizza Cats. You know, it was my first anime series I watched with a passion, now that I think about it. Oh, and btw Vyce, I hope you didn't die from that PM I just sent you. Oh and speaking of Sonic, I liked the ABC morning cartoon. You know, the one that was based on the comics. Those were pretty good.
El Psycho Diablo 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2004 Simply put, Gundam Wing sucks ass. Quite possibly the weakest series out of the entire Gundam family and that includes G Gundam, as well. As for cartoon shows that are good but don't get th attention they deserve, I'll go with the majority and say the Venture Bros. That show is fucking awesome and the Dr. Impossible and Yard Sale episodes almost made me piss myself while laughing. Aw, man. >_< While I do agree about Wing..something about the wooden characters, invincible Gundams, and meaningless babble they call a plot..it's the weakest of the Gundam series. Mobile Fighter G Gundam is a great show, but not everyone's going to get it. It's really a homage to the Super Robot shows of the 70's and 80's. If you're more of a Real Robot (i.e., the rest of Gundam) fan, I'd probably avoid it. Another thing, the dub track is just terrible, so I pity anyone that had to suffer through it. It's got the same basics the rest of Gundam does: the misuse of earth, and that someone has to fight to protect what they love. Besides, the God Gundam is one of my favorite designs. If you're into downloading, Gundam X is a "what if" on the original Gundam, and the main character isn't a whiny, angsty little brat, which gets major points from me. ¬_¬ As for Eva, the show itself is allright, but the ending's just TERRIBLE. I've always heard that it screws with your head, but that isn't the case. Gainax just can't end a series. That, and I think they blew their animation budget on the previous episodes.. I just hate "reset the universe' type endings, because it's a cheap way out. The director of Eva just threw in a lot of religious looking stuff, and a screwball ending, and still has people thinking the show's a lot deeper than it is. It's the ultimate case of hype continuing to sell a show.

Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted October 19, 2004 Mysterious Cities Of Gold. From beginning to end, solid storytelling and extremely imaginative. Care to elaborate? This show seems to come up once in awhile out of nowheres with people proclaiming their love for it. It's got my curiosity. Does Samurai Jack count? One of the best shows I've ever seen on TV. I don't know the name of it but there was a TV show on about 11 years ago I think that followed the Jungle Book story with Mogli and all that. It was pretty good and I'm pretty sure it wasn't by Disney because it just seemed to have a different style. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
Guest Ronixis Report post Posted October 19, 2004 Hmm... Exo Squad was great... Centurians were also good... Under Anime in the Modern Era, I am going to with Ultimate Muscle and Medabots. They are the most underrated series of this age.

Don't really remember anything about either of them. Can anyone confirm or amplify this? That would be the show "Comic Strip" and it had four different shows that were mixed in randomly(I think). Along with the two you already mentioned, there was Street Frogs and Monster Camp. I used to have a bunch of 'em on tape, but then they either got lost or taped over. Gary Floyd 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2004 Wow, love for Samurai Pizza Cats...I'm Impressed. That was a pretty good show How about EEK The Cat? That show was hilarious. Nothing better than a show with trips to hell, shark dogs, morbidly obese cats, and gneral insanity. Oh, and Tazmania. I remember one episode have a sketch for cd's called "Tazz Sings all the Love Songs" and "Tazz does rude noises from your Favorite Cartoons." That is comic gold. Finally, I'd like to mention "Earthworm Jim" just because it rocked the house.

Special K 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2004 Tick Duckman (when will it be released on DVD? they had like 5 seasons.) Everything on Adult Swim except Baby Blues *barf* Anime: Azumanga Daioh is the shit. The Vision of Escaflowne is too. (Not the version they chopped to shit and showed on TV. How they ever thought this series would be appropriate for little kiddies is completely beyond me.) Z Gundam. Ted the Poster 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2004 Anime: Inuyasha G Gundam(I don't like any of the other Gundam series) Cowboy Bebop Outlaw Star Yuyu Hakusho DB/Z/GT I'm suprised no one has mentioned Trigun. That show is just great. Case Closed is one of my favorites. I love trying to solve the case before Conan does, and sometimes I do. Cartoons: Venture Bros. Celebrity Dethmatch 3 South JLU Undergrads ATHF Sealab 2021(pre-Shanks) 90's Spiderman 90's Ninja Turtles Spawn I am very dissapointed that nobody else has mentioned Futurama or Family Guy. There are more, but I don't feel like listing them. Upon reflection, I think Stroker and Hoop is the worst cartoon I've ever seen. Worse than CatDog, even. Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted October 19, 2004 Rocko was friggin' great. That show was dirtier than hell, and it was on Nickelodeon. Chokey Chicken? C'mon... Best line I can remember from the show..Rocko had some horrible night where he couldn't sleep, and all this terrible shit kept happening. Heffer starts POUNDING on the door right around daybreak and yells "READY TO GO CAMPIN'???" when Rocko answers. Cracked me up. I feel ya, Rocko.
