Guest Real F'n Show Report post Posted October 24, 2004 Taking a break from Mortal Kombat, and getting hyped up for Smackdown vs. Raw, I put in HCTP today, and had a blast just having awesome matches. One match in particular I had, Benoit and Angle vs. WGTT was especially excellent. The match went about 18 minutes and was back and forth action non-stop. Benoit actually worked over his opponents backs and necks to set up for the Crossface, while Haas worked on Angle's legs to set up for the Haas of Pain. I'm playing as Haas by the way. Near the end of the match, Haas' and Shelton's bodies are almost completely red, while I have Benoit in mostly red and Angle's legs in dark red. I put Angle in the Haas of Pain, but he won't tap out for some reason. I decide to cover him, but Benoit breaks it up. Shelton then comes in and disposes of Benoit while I continue to work over Angle. Angle fights back and Angle Slams me, but Benjamin breaks up the pin. Angle tags in Benoit and I attack his legs too, but eventually he gets me in the Crossface and I have to tap. A **** videogame match. There's been a thread like this before I know, but I always enjoy reading them, so what cool matches have you had in videogames?
Dr. Zoidberg 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2004 Although i made a complete ass out of myself before when one of these threads came out, i have since gotten over whatever was pissing me off. I still feel like a doosh, BTW. Ok, so...I was having my standard CAW match of Ragdoll vs. K-Money when I decided, "Hey...why not have Five Fatal Four Ways to decide who will face K-Money for the title?" So I had (and i'm not going to do PBP for the first four FFW's...too muxh time): FFW 1: Eddie Guerrero vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Paul London vs. Rey Misterio. Winner: Eddie G. FFW 2: Randy Orton vs. Chris Jericho vs. Steve Corino vs. Charlie Haas. Winner: Steve Corino (surprised me too) FFW 3: Chris Benoit vs. Rhyno vs. Shawn Micheals vs. Spanky Winner: Chris Benoit FFW 4: Ragdoll vs. Undertaker vs. Kane vs. Big Show Winner: RAGDOLL!~ So, for the Final Fatal Four Way, it was: Eddie Guerrero vs. Steve Corino vs. Chris Benoit vs. Ragdoll So, the first elimination is at 10:32 and is Corino, obivously, and Benoit/Eddie gang up on Ragdoll. I, as Ragdoll, fight out of the double team and hit a Shining Wizard on Eddie to get the pin at 13:27. It was then that I thought, "I've seen Ragdoll/K-Money too many times..." and proceeded to let Benoit lock Ragdoll into the Crossface. No tap out, but a pin. I have yet to do Benoit/Money, but it's going to be really good. Probably the best FFW I had was the Corino/Jericho/Orton/Haas match, mainly because of the ending. Corino used the "handful of tights roll-up" to get the pin on the all red Jericho, who eliminated both Haas and Orton.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2004 I had a 60-minute Iron Man match in No Mercy between my CAWs of Cliff Young and Corey Lazarus. My CAW of Laz in No Mercy SUCKS, though, since it was based on his moves from the first year I used him (I e-fed using Laz, as Slasher Flick can attest to). Cliff was up 5-0 with only 15 minutes to go, and then Laz suddenly UNLOADED on Cliff, nailing big move after big move, and even kicking out of Cliff's T-Bone DDT (his front special) twice in a row. It was SICK. I've NEVER seen that happen before. So Laz then hits a Fisherman's Buster (his front special, since the Ki Krusher isn't in No Mercy, and no game has the Fisherman's Powerbomb that I use as Laz's finish) for a pin, an Enziguri for a pin (since the move I now use as Laz's finish, the End Credits, is a modified Enziguri), a bridging German for a pin, a Crossface for a submission, and a top rope Brainbuster for a KO. So, in the final 5 minutes, score's tied 5-5. Both men are bloodied, limping (and Laz is primarily a speed-based wrestler), and there hadn't been a fall on the outside yet (I set it up for Hardcore rules). So they go outside, and trade weapon shots, and then Cliff hits a LygerBomb through the table for a pin, with him leading 6-5. 1 minute remains, and they're back in the ring, and Laz reverses a clothesline into a Fujiwara armbar for a submission, tie'ing it back up at 6-6. Cliff then gets his Special, but Laz knocks him out cold with 10 seconds remaining using a chair, and Laz wins at 7-6.
Guest Coffey Report post Posted October 25, 2004 It would have to be the only match I've ever lost to one Chad McKenzie. We were playing WCW/NWO Revenge for the Nintendo 64. I've beat Chad countless times, but on this day, I was too cocky. I was playing as The Outsiders (Scott Hall & Kevin Nash) and my friend Chad was playing as Harlem Heat (Booker T. & Stevie Ray). Anyway, the match went on for quite a while, and anyone that's played the N64 wrestling titles will admit that I'm a "master of the reversal." I can reverse, I'd say somewhere around 80% of the moves attempted to me. I just got better after all of the replaying of the games. Anyway, I had Chad beat...but I got cocky. I hit him with Scott Hall's finisher and then knocked his tag team partner off of the ring apron...but instead of pinning my beaten opponent, I picked him up and put him on my shoulders to do a double team move. Well, that's where things went sour. I should point out, that when playing Revenge with friends, it's common courtesy to not hit the analog stick during pinfall attempts. In Revenge it was an auto kick-out. I'm glad that they took it out of the future THQ/AKI titles. Anyway, when I went for the Doomsday Device, my inept computer partner (Nash) just stood on the apron and stared at me. So, eventually, Stevie Ray (Chad's computer controlled partner) got back up onto the ring apron...and came into the ring thanks to the "Get In" feature. Nash? He stood there. So, I got double teamed for a little bit. No big deal. The match went on, but I couldn't get a pinfall. Chad's computer partner would always break it up. Submissions weren't on, so I couldn't get a cheap victory with something like a side headlock either. Anyway, long story short. Booker T. was on "auto-comeback" (that's a generic term that we use for when every move you do gives you an insane amount of spirit. It only happens when you've been losing.) and eventually got his special. I was helpless against it as I was on the mat when he reached it thanks to a taunt. He hit me with a Scissor Kick and went for the pin. Kevin Nash tried to make the save, but the tall people in the game take long strides over the top rope as their ring entry. Needless to say, the three count had been made before Nash was even in the ring. I couldn't believe that I lost after taking so little offense. There were a few other pinfalls on me earlier in the match, but not because I was losing. It was usually like a random reverse into a small package or a roll-up/school boy quick grapple. I've never picked Nash in the game since that day. Actually, that was the last day that we ever played Revenge. We just broke it out for nostalgia sake one day when we were getting bored with Here Comes the Pain. Chad still brags about it.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2004 Battle Royale featuring every character on nWo/WCW Revenge: N64......just throwing people out left and right, taunting, avoiding them pull me out of the ring after they were eliminated. Scroby 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2004 I got a couple.... 1: In No Mercy for the N64, I made a CAW of a biker named 911. This was before I actually saw the real 911 so I really didn't make my CAW off of 911. Anyways 911 was undefeated and all my friends hated him, they basically formed a alliance with one another to beat him. So whenever they could, they would do some kind of match to try and beat me, never really happen. One of these matches were a three way dance iron match, except the two other wrestlers teaming up on me. Anyways both these guys had enough wins over 911 to get the win over me, but as time was ticking away, at the last second I did a back body drop on one of my oppents, and the time ran down. The computer actually reconized me as the winner and gave me the win. Both of my friends were pist and I only replied with "hey the computer doesn't lie.". 2. This also happen in No Mercy with 911. 911 was the champion at the time, holding a few titles, only a few because my friends were scared to face him while they had titles. Anyways so me and my friend Lennon who is using his CAW "Slade" is having a match for the title and he finally beats me after coming back from my 3 special combo and I use my title rematch and I get my rematch. So in the rematch, I beat him back for the title, so now he wants to use this rematch stip. and get his rematch, so I give it to him. So basically this happens for a good hour in a half. Then it gets to the point where he beats me for the title for I wanna say the 3rd time, maybe 4th in that series of matches, then refuses to give me my rematch. He's refused ever since. He's refused so much he even took my No Mercy with him when he went off to college in Long Beach just to make sure I can never ever have my rematch. 3. This happen on Raw 2. myself and 3 of my friends were doing a season and one of them was trying so very hard to get a title shot, it was sad because he just wasn't getting one. So just up and outta the blue the game just gives me the title show. Now my friends are pist because one of them has been trying so hard to get one, he had more points than me, attacked the champion a lot and everything else. So my 3 friends decided to form a group against me and actually sent me outta the room so they could plan my demise. So I come back and they have all weaken me to the point, if Hogan (who was champion) pinned me, I was over. So I get to my match and start working Hogan, then all of a sudden Hogan pulls the dust outta his ass and starts kicking my ass then finally pinning. This is just my one of my favorite moments/matches because my friends actually sent me outta the room. oh and no my friends don't form allainces against me because i'm cheap or whatever, its normally because I own them most of the time. Guest JJW Report post Posted October 25, 2004 It was a match between Chris Daniels/Paul London in Fire pro for the gba,it went a legit 47 minutes(Fire pro time). Daniels dominated the 1st 10 minutes pretty much finishing london off with a ddt on the entrance ramp that busted him open.London wouldn't quit and took control of the match from their with suplexs and an array of running kick, daniels busted out an sto out of nowhere for a long 2 count. At about the 35 minute mark daniels setup london in the corner for a splash but london moved outta the way and daniels skull hit the top of the ring post and busted him open and london tried a small package for 2,london went for the london star press and got a 2 1/2 count.Later london went for another london star press and daniels got the knees up,hit him with a cutter and set him up in the corner for a top rope tombstone piledriver for the pinfall. The match 96% attendance rating. eiker_ir 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2004 like 5 days ago i was having a 3 way match vs. my brother and a CPU Benoit in No Mercy my brother and i are the only ones capable of kicking eachother's asses in NM, since no one else we now can, so the match was pretty awesome with even Benoit putting a pretty good fight. i had set a 15min time limit because i didn't want to miss the Simpsons, so Benoit and my brother had been teaming up against me alot the bastars so i was pretty fucked up, until the minute 14 when i started my comeback, i got to 'special' and did the EXPLODAAAAAAAAAAAAH to Benoit right at 14:50 and and riht after to my brother, that WAS IT...1......2........thrrrTIME OUT! oh man that was just perfect timing, just like the iron man match with Bret having Shawn in the Sharpshooter, you just knew that with one more second that was gonna be it. hehe good times No Mercy rules
Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2004 I wish I could go back into my posted messages and c&p it here... one of the most recent fun matches was my CAW Steiners vs. The Road Warriors. Another of the more fun outings was my Power and Glory CAWs vs. my namesake and Randy Savage CAWs. It was a challenge, as Roma and Herc were not quite built up to the level that I wanted them to be, but I won the match.
The Metal Maniac 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2004 If by "best", you mean the most fun, then the winner is easily the Fire Pro D Pizza Box Tournament. Me and 3 buddies decided to have a battle royale tournament, but we also decided to be picky about it. A wrestler could only be used once, though I think we may have cheated a bit once we got down to the nitty-gritty. Anyway, we had 8 seperate battle royales, with the winners advancing to the final battle royale - but you had to keep the same guy. Like, if you happened to win one with Austin, you HAD to use him in the final - unless you had won 2 or more, in which case you had your pick of the winners. Also, you HAD to win at least one battle royale to be allowed into the final one, which made things even more fun. It was called the pizza box tournament because it was for the last slice of pizza, and we kept track of who'd been used on the box. Anyway, it was fun as all hell, with highlights being Chyna CRITICALing Ultimo Dragon with a ballshot, and the discovery that Andre's running elbow drop is the most devastating move in the game - not just because you were dead after you took it, but because it was impossible to play with him yelling "oooooo" every time he did it. I actually put my controller down and left the room in the middle of a match, I was laughing so damned hard. Ahhh...hours upon hours of Fire Pro...I wish that Dreamcast wasn't dead. Guest BDC Report post Posted October 26, 2004 My best match probably came when I took on, for the first time, some friends down the hall. We had just learned that we all three went crazy on No Mercy, so we stacked up our created guys. Aaron Burkholder took on The Steve took on "The War Machine" Shawn Stewart (the last one being mine). We went for about two hours. It got to the point of obscenity, because all three of us would end up down and with so much damage, it was taking a full minute, minute and a half to recover. The ending was just luck. I managed to drop Burkholder with a running sidekick, well not really drop but put him in the corner. I hit my special and hoisted The Steve for my Burning Hammer. Dropped him cold and the three count finished just about .5 of a second before Burkholder's top rope elbow landed.

Guest Reservoir_Kitty Report post Posted October 26, 2004 All the epic wrestling matches I've ever had have been played on No Mercy. The one that sticks out the most is a match that I fought with my fiance and my younger brother. It was an epic half-hour ladder match extravaganza. We all had custom CAWs and it was just utter mayhem. I'd team up with my brother to beat on my fiance, then I'd turn on my brother and try to climb the ladder myself. It went back and forth like that until my fiance finally pulled out the big guns (and cheated) to win. Heh, it was great fun, probably the most fun I've had playing a wrestling game. Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2004 I played as Rico on SD: SYM and I stepped up to the plate by going against my first opponent: BROCK LESNAR! Was it a match I would win? Probably not, but no matter how hard the challenge is, I would try to win with all my might. So I went in there and kicked the crap out of him left and right using my various martial moves and I thought I had victory within my grasp...then he F5ed my ass and it was over. SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2004 Back when I was a freshmen in high school, my friend and I played a game of Wrestlemania 2000 for the N64. We were playing as our own CAWs and had ourselves a cage match. It was awesome, the match lasted for over 40 minutes and we ended up taking turns administering the beating (but not on purpose). There were many near escapes of the cage, but I wound up as the victor (which probably enhances this memory quite a bit). It was an epic battle, so probably a ****1/2 match! Another time, my same friend was playing that games "Road to Wrestlemania" mode and he was put in a triple threat match with Christian and the Godfather. I swear to fucking God, he was playing that same match for almost an hour, and he would frequently throw a fit because of Christian's "invicibility" during the match. I think I remember he won the match eventually, but it was funny to watch him struggle through a match that wouldn't seem to be very difficult to an outsider. USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2004 I was playing WWE Raw 2 recently, and I think I had a great match pitting my CAW in a fatal four way elimination match on Smackdown vs Billy Kidman, Tajiri and Jamie Knoble. The first elimination (Kidman pins Tajiri after a SSP) took place 25 minutes into the match. That's how hard it was to get a pin or submission, because everyone was breaking up each fall. The match concluded after 1 hour and 10 minutes when my CAW literally had to hit two straight finishers (Bubba Cutter followed up by Roll the Dice). It was just awesome. Guest PlatinumBoy Report post Posted October 28, 2004 I just had a really cool ending to a match on the classic WCW/NWO Revenge. I was Eddie and Chavo versus Benoit and Malenko, and around the 15 minute mark or so, I just started nailing finishing moves on Benoit. Hit him with the German Suplex and roll up thing Eddie has as a back special for 2--Malenko breaks it up, then hit the Black Tiger Bomb for 2, Benoit barely kicks out. I manage to hit a frog splash for another 2 count, but Dean breaks it up again. Then, I tag in Chavo--and proceed to beat down Benoit more with various moves. It's now 16:30ish in the match, and with Chavo I hit a Brainbuster near my corner. Only a two count because Dean breaks it up. Benoit is up, I blast him with a punch, hit another strong grapple, then Brainbuster him again. Dean again runs to break it up, only this time Eddie cuts him off with a running shoulderblock. It was pretty sweet to hit the one Brainbuster, than the other for what I KNEW was going to be the win. Also, in Firepro it's fun anytime your Taue and Kawada versus Misawa and Jun/Kobashi and KO one of them with a Nodowa.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2004 Getting owned by Bob Backland in Fire Pro 2 is getting very fustrating. Damn it why must Kurt Angle, whose health is green, get winded 6 minutes into the match? theintensifier 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2004 I've had countless classics (both great mat work and comedy). A friend of mine and I would play as Rey Jr. and Ultimo Dragon in wCw / nWo World Tour, and we would face The Giant and just do tons of highspots on him, taking turns splashing him. We'd do this for a good 10 minutes. Then we'd fight each other, usually with guys like Benoit / Malenko / Guerrero, and have certain specific rules, like pin-falls only, submissions only, great times, great times. wCw / nWo Revenge and the Battle Royals are great memories of staying up till 5 in the morning just destroying people. Hogan, Goldberg, Sting (had a bat), La Parka (had a chair), Booker T, Nash (his big boot went almsot all the way across the ring) were all great to use. I remember the first match I played too, Benoit vs. DDP. This was right after thier feud or during that time when they were feduing in wCw, and I made Page tap tap tap out to Benoit~! WWF WrestleMania 2000, create a wrestler is introduced. I made Kurt Angle, he ruled all. Create a PPV and belts were cool as well. No Mercy. Handicap Ladder matches, nothing is a fun as this. I usually played as Jeff Hardy and my bud played as Matt Hardy, and we'd pick on some super heavyweight like Big Show, Kane, Taker, etc. I'd do the swanton from the top of the ladder to the outside and usually miss, but I remember thinking how cool it'd be to see Jeff actually do that. HCTP. Great game, I liked being able to do finishers with the steel chair a la Van Daminator and Taker's Chair smash on throat. Hell in a Cell is always fun as well, SSP OFF THE CAGE BAH GAWD~! Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2004 I remember a classic amatch I had on revenge with DDP(me) vs Raven (cpu) we fought all over the bash at the beach arena. and the match ended with a diamond cutter on the wooden ramp for the 3 count, it looked awesome on replay. another favorite of mine was on wm 2000 where I had edge and christian vs apa. cpu was edge and I was christian. near the end of the epic 30 min match, I threw bradshaw out of the ring. then whipped farroq into the ropes, I did a leapfrog and the cpu edge caught farrooq with a spear right of that for the 3 count. AWESOME. I even taped the replay on my vcr anf still have it to this day cuz it looked so cool I had many great matches on no mercy including great 3 way ladder matches (which were the only way I could get the cpu to try and climb the ladder, I swear they would only knock me off in a one one one match and never climb up) I had a cool cactus jack vs hhh hardcore in royal rumble arena (to recreate the rumble 2000) I went all over the backstage areas (but stupid stephanie had to come with him backstage which is dumb) so I beat up both of them. finally finsihed it in the bar by hitting a piledriver through the pool table. once I had my caw Maven vs Crash Holly in a hc match which was fun. It ended with Maven dropkicking Crash off the announce table and he fell backwards onto a chair on the floor(hitting his head) and I pinned him. It looked great on replay I also loved hitting a top rope ddt onto chairs and/or stop signs cuz of the cool sound effect and replay)
Dr. Zoidberg 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 OK, just had Benoit (cpu)/K-Money (me). So, the match started out with regular exchanges, and about 15 minutes in, Money got locked into the Crossface. Too close to the ropes, got up, and hit Benoit with a Cash Money Driver (aka Pedigree). BLADE JOB!~ By this time, Money's body is dark red, and Benoit's head is dark red...yeah. So...Money takes awhile to recover from the Cash Money Driver, goes for the pin...1...2...Benoit kicks the FUCK out. 20 minutes in, 10 minutes left, Money goes for CMD again, but it's blocked by Benoit, who now has no special icons left. He instead goes behind and hits a neckbreaking German Suplex...Money kicks out at 2! Benoit stands, holds his head as Money shoots up...CASH MONEY DRIVER! Money reels from it, covers...1....2....3. End time: 23:46. Great match
DangerousDamon 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 Smackdown HCTP Six Man Tag The Second City Saints vs Generation Next(Shelley, Aries, Evans) I was GN. THis match was crazy. I did a bunch of crazy dives all over the place with Evans. But the best part of the whole match is when I did a 450 splash off the table, out of the ring with Aries onto Ace Steel. The finish came when I started calling in Evans and Shelley. CM punk hit me(Aries) with a Shining Wizard. Evans runs and hits a spinning wheel kick on Punk. He drags Punk over to a corner and does a corkscrew moonsault. THe ref makes him get out of the ring, allowing Shelley to hit the Black Dragon DDT, setting up for Aries' submission finsiher and the tap out.
Guest PlatinumBoy Report post Posted November 8, 2004 In Super Fire Pro X I just took on Taue, Misawa, Kawada, and Kobashi one at a time in best of 3 matches with Jumbo. I had the slow counting ref and beat Kobashi and Taue without too much trouble (Taue did take a fall with a powerbomb). However, aganist Misawa--I didn't just win, I KILLED him. I did a double arm suplex over the ropes, then pummeled him some on the outside and then hit the backdrop onto the cement for a KO in like a minute. Next fall I just kept backdropping him until I tired of it and went for a pin--he kicked out so I just planted him with a powerbomb. Then Kawada--Kawada gave me a hell of a match. I dominated the first 7-8 minutes, then he comes back, starts small and then before I know it he's blasting me with lariats, Stretch Plums, powerbombs, brainbusters, etc. etc. before after a long battle he gets me to tap to a single leg crab. Next fall I fought with Jumbo like a little bitch. I hid in the ropes, played hit and run for a while, and positioned it so any big moves Kawada would hit either got me into the ropes or out of the ring. Finally I hit two backdrops for the pin and repeated it in the second match. I also had a GREAT two out of three falls match with me as the Steiners versus Liger and Benoit. It was so realistic because they got their asses handed to them the whole match, but they kept saving the other guy and making hot tags and getting the occasionally near fall off of a DDT into SSP or something. In the end of the second fall (I took the first one) Liger would not stay down, I mauled him with the top rope clothestline, bulldog, steinerline, powerbomb, Canadian backbreaker, and powerslam from Rick, and hit a few Screwdrivers, Pumphandle slams, about 10 Butterfly powerbombs, tilt-a-whirl powerslam, frankenstiner, etc. etc. and a billion variations of suplexes. Finally I trapped him in an STF with Scott and Rick cut off Benoit for me to take it at 19 minutes in the second fall (first went 10) and pull out a win after 10 minutes of just crushing Lyger. tbondrage99 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2004 The main one that comes to mind is from Wrestlemania 2000 from the N64. Me and a friend used wrestlers that we created, named Rage and Cyber respectivly, and went against the Hardy Boyz on the highest difficulty setting. In all seriousness the match nearly lasted 30 minutes of back and forth action, and ended when my friend who was using Cyber hit Jeff Hardy with a finisher on that game that had something like 5 powerbombs in a row followed by a Death Valley Driver. Robert 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2004 WWF No Mercy: Triple Threat 60 Minute Ironman Match for WWF Championship: Kurt Angle (me) vs Chris Benoit (CPU) vs Bret Hart (CAW/CPU) I didn't even have a win going into the 15 minute mark. Benoit have two, and Hart had seven. I was able to get seven victorys with about 10 seconds left. I KO'ed Benoit at 5 seconds, locked the Ankle Lock and right at one, Hart tapped out. I won by one second, and it was the greatest match I've ever had.
