WWE DVDs for release next year

Recommended Posts

Reported by Mike Johnson at PWInsider.com http://pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.asp?id=6568&p=1

World Wrestling Entertainment continues to churn out new DVD releases. The latest planned releases will feature titles on Rob Van Dam, Andre the Giant, and the Intercontinental championship:

Rob Van Dam - One Of A Kind Scheduled for release 1/4/05, this will be an in-depth look at Van Dam, similar to the recent Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero DVDs. The disc will feature footage of Van Dam as Robby V in WCW, as well as bouts from ECW, his King of the Ring match against Chris Jericho, his ladder match vs. Christian on Raw and more.

WWE: Best Of Intercontinental Championship Matches

Scheduled to be released 1/25/05, I believe this is a re-release of an older video release from the Coliseum Home Video days based on the match listing, which features Shawn Michaels vs. Crush, Bret Hart vs. Skinner (Tuesday in Texas PPV), and Shawn Michaels vs. Hacksaw Jim Duggan (Early Monday Night Raw taping). The DVD is slated to be 90 minutes long.

Andre The Giant

Scheduled to be released 1/25/05, this is another 90 minute re-release of an older Coliseum Home Video release, with Lord Alfred Hayes hosting bouts including the angle where Andre had his hair cut by the Heenan Family, teaming with Jimmy Snuka vs. the Wild Samoans, a Battle Royal and more.

OK, NOW I'm sold on the RVD release. His WWF/E matches have either been shit or pretty good (almost always the former), but I'd like to see some of his WCW stuff and could always use some ECW in my collection.

Hopefully the RVD DVD's release will force WWE to actually do something with the guy again...when's the last time he's even done anything meaningful on TV?

That was actually a pretty decent match until, I think, Hunter ran in and ruined everything. I could be wrong in terms of the details of the finish though.

Yeah, Rob frogsplashed Micheals, pinned him, and Triple H ran down and pulled him off at two. Pedigreed Rob on the outside and then beat up of HBK.

Shawn Michaels vs. Mr. Perfect, Sumerslam 93

why the christian match? It should be the Eddy Guerrero ladder match instead.

How many Coliseum Home Videos did HBK have?

3 as far as I can think of.

Hits From The Heartbreak Kid (93 - 94)

Best Hits From The Heartbreak Kid (95 - 96)

Heartbreak Express Tour (96 - 97)

I want Rob's Hardcore Title Match against Jeff Hardy, the first one they had on Rob's PPV debut in the Alliance period. Been trying to find it for download forever and all I can get is their ladder match from the next PPV.

Its just a re-release of The Heartbreak Express tour from when Michaels won at WM 12 to getting the title back at RR 97.

His WWE matches are way better than anything he did in ECW or WCW. WWE forcing him to tone down his style actually slightly improved his shitty psychology and made him less spotty.

But he also dogs his matches about 100x more than ever. I can't even think of 1 good match he's had in the last year.

Not a bad line-up. Shame the Hardcore match between him and Jericho from Unforgiven had to be cut due to the WWF name bullshit, I liked that match of theirs better.
