Gary Floyd 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 I'm doing alot of posing on the music boards lately, so hey, here's another new one Every year, you hear a song, or at least songs, that make you want to puke blod and shit out your innards. Post what you think this years worst songs are here
Guest Syxx Report post Posted December 7, 2004 Eminem-"Just lose it". Granted there were probably worse songs in the mainstream that were more annoying and involved less artistic input involved. That being said, this should be considered the worst song of the year considering that Eminem is capable of much better work and this is arguably the worst song he has ever written (definitely his worst single). Now the video for this song is good if only for the P.W.H. spoof, still I can only stand it on mute.

Vyce 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 Just Lose It. Worst video, worst song, just terrible. Agreed. Honorable Mention: That one rap/hip-hop song that samples "Crazy Train". I think it's by Lil' Jon? Anyway, yeah: the rape of all that was once good about Ozzy continues. EDIT: Ah, the name is "Let's Go" and Trick Daddy and Twista have a hand in the abomination as well. Anyway, yeah: the rape of all that was once good about Ozzy continues. EDIT: Ah, the name is "Let's Go" and Trick Daddy and Twista have a hand in the abomination as well. See, this is probably in my top 5 or 10 songs of the year. One of the best club tracks I've heard in a long time. "Crazy Train" is incredibly lame, but Trick Daddy and Lil' Jon managed to take the 12 good seconds out of it and spin them into a great little thing. I'm just surprised no one thought to sample it sooner. The worst hip-hop song I've heard this year is probably Crime Mob's "Knuck If You Buck," though it almost saves itself with the asinine line about how Crime Mob tag teams "like Saddam Hussein, Hitler, and Osama bin Laden." The worst song overall is probably Toby Keith's "Stays in Mexico," which I hope none of you ever have to hear.
B. Brian Brunzell 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 Taht Crime Mob song is fucking terrible, as is the one song I heard from the white crunk rapper Lil' Whyte whose name eludes me at the moment. But still, I'm going with "Just Lose It." And "Let's Go" is defnitely one of the top club tracks of the year. I kind of like LL's "Headsprung" as well. Slayer 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 "Crazy Train" is incredibly lame Oh no you didn't As for the thread, I would be content to say "any pop song I heard this year", though I can't really remember most of them. Funny how a lot of pop songs used to be memorably bad, now they're just forgettably bad. Of the ones I can remember, I'd nominate that "country/rap" crossover "Over and over" which consists of Nelly and Tim McGraw saying over and over again over and over again over and over again... Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 the two songs previously mentioned by Slayer and MaxSault immediately popped into my head upon reading this thread title...and I had to buy that attrocious Nelly album for the wife...

Slayer 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 the two songs previously mentioned by Slayer and MaxSault immediately popped into my head upon reading this thread title...and I had to buy that attrocious Nelly album for the wife... The funny thing is that a country/rap crossover doesn't have to be that bad. If you combine the best aspects of rap (the beat and good lyrics from the right rapper, which exempts Nelly right away) with the best aspects of country (storytelling), along with the fact that you can exploit a shared economic demographic (rap: inner city kids escaping the ghetto. country: hard working lower class folk making their way through life) then you could have a monster crossover song. The "Over and Over" song fails to do this though, instead mixing the worst aspect of rap (oversampling and repetition ad nauseum) and not really tossing in any country aspects at all save for an acoustic guitar (McGraw's voice wasn't even identifiable when mixed with Nelly's)
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 anything by Switchfoot, with the exception of "This Is My Life", it's kinda okay...(they have the top 40 station playing here at work right now, imagine the horror!)
Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 "1985" by Bowling for Soup For whatever reason, I kind of like that song. It's creative. But yeah, thankfully with a CD player in my car, I never have to submit to the radio anymore.
Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 Crazy Train is horrible for the most part, except for that opening riff. It's almost like a new shitty song takes place. That Amy Lee song with Seether comes to mind, as well as Eminem's Just Lose It, although it doesn't surprise that most in here would hate that song.

nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 I must be getting old, I can't name a single artist/song combination that came out this year. Until this thread, I never knew the name of that eminem song (I've only seen seconds of the video, and turn it off as soon as I see what it is) and most of the other songs or artists I've never even heard of. Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 I thought I would have exposed the idiocy of anyone not liking "Let's Go" by now... that was the best song of the year. I have no idea what the worst is... even when I don't like something, it's not like there's degrees, it's just "This is good." and "This isn't." Maybe "Sunshine" by Lil Flip cause it was a pretty good album, and that being the hit single threw the whole thing off. "Game Over" was top 10 songs this year as well. TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 Anyone heard the remix of "Lean Back" with Eminem and Mase? That's gotta be a contender. I NEVER wanna hear Em saying "baby gurl I don't dance, not cuz I can't but I got a pistol in my pants". And the club track of the year is "Yeah" by Usher, Luda and Lil Jon.
