Mole 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2004 Damn, that looks sweet. I never read any of the comics, so I don't know the story. I really hope the whole movie is in black & white though. But why did they give billing to a few of those actors? I don't know who half of them are. Alexis Bledel? Jaime King? Clive Owen?
jesse_ewiak 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2004 Alexis Bledel? - Rory Gilmore on The Gilmore Girls Jaime King? Actress/model Clive Owen? Arthur in King Arthur last summer

Mole 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2004 Alexis Bledel? - Rory Gilmore on The Gilmore Girls Jaime King? Actress/model Clive Owen? Arthur in King Arthur last summer They still don't have any right to have billing like that. That is mainly deserved for actors who have already made a name for themselves. Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2004 didn't they just list everybody with a substantial part in the movie?
Mole 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2004 Yes, which is a waste of space.

UZI Suicide 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2004 Too bad Johnny Depp and Leo DiCaprio dropped out of this flick.
Guest SP-1 Report post Posted December 23, 2004 "Right" to the billing? They spent months as paid actors on a major motion picture as part of the main cast. They earned the right.
Guest HTQ's Personal Bitch Report post Posted December 23, 2004 Too bad Johnny Depp and Leo DiCaprio dropped out of this flick. Well, Leo DiCrapio is a shitbag so he won't be missed. As for Depp, he only "dropped out" because it was decided that they didn't have enough room in one movie to adapt ALL the Sin City stories.* He was to play the lead character from SIN CITY: TO HELL AND BACK and Rodriguez plans on doing that story in a sequel. *This movie is a composite of a few Sin City stories (YELLOW BASTARD and A DAME TO KILL FOR among them). He plans on adaptated ALL the Sin City stories over time.

UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2004 DiCaprio was the star of the highest grossing film of all time. He's also starred or been in several great films, with The Basketball Diaries, What's Eating Gilbert Grape?, and Catch Me if You Can. He's in the best movie in the nation right now in The Aviator. So methinks he would be missed from this film. He's a great actor.

As for how much money this movie makes, I rather it be a box office bomb without him then a sucess with him.

Maybe it's because of The Titanic ? This guy is a really good actor, i guess he will gain respect with the years ( and more films with Scorsese ) Oh ... And i can'z wait for Sin City

SinToxic 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2005 Finally a film where Rourke is not playing a pussy. Btw Robert Rodriguez is directing it and frankly something reminded me of Kill Bill, I wonder why. I didnt like Once Upon a Time in Mexico, but this film might have a fair ground to balance out the usual RR silly plotting since it looks like a fantasy. Minus the abercrombie and fitch kids (which is 70% of the cast) this might be a fun little flick.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted January 27, 2005 Rutger Hauer is also in it as a big but seldomly seen character, Cardinal Roark. I've read the graphic novels and it's a great series. It should translate to a good film, despite it not being as violent as the book. Of course, It's a very violent series, so cutting down the violence will still leave alot. Minus the abercrombie and fitch kids (which is 70% of the cast) this might be a fun little flick. What are you talking about?
