iliketurtles 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2005 Well, we all just saw that they are promoting a Press Conference in Hollywood on Raw...for obvious reasons, and that's more than likely Austin is back in the WWE. I think it would be a perfect time to do an attack on him to set up a program for Mania (if he's going to wrestle.) Discuss away.

YEEEWWEEEAHHHHOHHHHHHHHAHHHH Hassan: long winded generic heel speech, about 10 minutes duration Austin: Damn, son, you just about put me to sleep. And what are you wearing on your head? A towel? What? A tablecloth? What? A Bedsheet? Daivari: noises resembling a dying chicken, in Farsi Austin: Damn, son you better take the base out of your voice or I'll slap that stupid beard off your face. Hassan and Daivari do a beatdown on Austin JR: BAH GOD, those damn....Arab Americans....who aren't like other Arab Americans...just took the rattlesnake out to the woodshed....Wrestlemania XXI in LA is gonna be like explosive....well, not that they're going to...ah, hell STONE COLD STONE COLD STONE COLD.... NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2005 I am going to go out on a limb and say, he will get the biggest pops, but will make at the most a .2 difference in the ratings. I don't see Austin making that big of a difference in today's ClimaHHHte on Raw. It will be fun to see him back for awhile, though. Of course chances are if his return is anything like last time, it will get old in about two weeks. Would be nice to get some backstage reports though of HHH feeling uneasy. LOL. Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted January 18, 2005 He'll get a huge return pop and then people will be sick of him within 2 weeks when he goes back to just randomly giving the Stunner to mid-carders.

Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2005 I would welcome him back as a special guest or as part of the HOF ceremonies, but I don't want to see him wrestle. Vyce 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2005 Mein gott, all this is for the announcement of a film deal so Austin will star in some of their awful B-movies? Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2005 I'm curious about something, since I'm west coast and get to watch Raw alone in about 2 hours while all you East coasters and DirecTVers have all the fun with your one & only threads. Damn cable. How did Steve Austin tie into this? The original poster said they were promoting a press conference in Hollywood, probably for Mania. So, what did they say to make you think Austin has anything in this?

Damn cable. How did Steve Austin tie into this? The original poster said they were promoting a press conference in Hollywood, probably for Mania. So, what did they say to make you think Austin has anything in this? Well, the graphic has a picture of Austin, Austin's music played in the background and JR plugged it as a major announcement with Steve Austin. Of course the article I posted from WWE.com confirms its just to announce a film agreement.

He is like Arn Anderson in that his injury is so severe that I would take no joy in seeing him trying to wrestle, no matter how good he used to be. Unless you’re his doctor that is really a blanket statement. He has a bad neck and knee’s but that doesn’t mean he can’t go any more… and if he does it would probably be a one-off match which is easily done if he really wants it. HOF means your done, and he isn’t done by a long shot yet!!

algrim 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2005 I would get excited if they fired King and made Austin an announcer. That wouldn't sound like a bad idea at all, come to think of it. Austin could/is a great color man, and could also provide his own assessment on matches. I say go with it. It'd be better than having to hear "PUPPIES!" all the time. iliketurtles 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2005 Austin as a color man would be awesome. He'd know what he'd actually be talking about, and would be fresh. He's always done well at the table, too.

Creepy Crawl 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2005 I hope its more than to just announce the movie deal . Austin may not be able to wrestle all that well anymore but he is still entertaining . Something needs to happen to freshen up the HHH show .
Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted January 18, 2005 Austin as a commentator would lick. He would become his charicter and use that stupid redneck voice and would sound dumb. He wouldnt use anaylisis, he would be confrontational. Therefor, it would be EXACTLY like his GM role. If anything, the GM thing fit him best. But make it so he cant bury people.
