The Clarissa Explains It All - Season 1 compilation in May will be on 2 DVDs, and run 328 minutes for 13 episodes. Paramount Home Entertainment will distribute this title. If this set is successful, we hope it will lead to further "Rewind Collection" releases for many of the other Nick shows named above. Stay tuned, and we'll let you know.

Salute Your Shorts better be next, that's all I have to say.

Rockos Modern Life, Danger Mouse, The Adventures of Pete and Pete and a few years of YCDTOT and I would be cool.

Does anyone else notice hat MJH has one big eye?

Oh yeah...and the RoundHouse. Dem kids had talent. Talent I say.

When ever my life gets me low down I know I can go down.

(down down down) To where the music and the fun never ends.

Where the music keeps playin, you know what I'm Sayin,

I know that I can find a frieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeend, Down at the Roundhouse!!!!

Yeah...still remember the song. Unless that is terribly wrong. In which case I don't remember it.

Ripper- Never watched Salute your Shorts.

Danger Mouse

DVDs of Danger Mouse and Duckula have been released in the UK (Region 2)

Dunno when (if) they'll hit the states though

I hate to break up the excitement, but am I the only one who watched these shows as a kid on Nickolodean and liked them but then outgrew them once I hit my teens and have no interest in ever watching them again now?

Guest Salacious Crumb

You Can't Do That On Television would be the only show I would be remotely interested in. The cartoons are pointless since Nick Toons is on the air.

I would like Danger Mouse and Count Duckula but Nickelodeon lost the rights to those shows years ago if I remember correctly.

There are DVDs out for them that come out in the UK for those. I *think* I even recall that they're not region-specific, so you can play them on any regular US DVD player, but I'm not certain about that.

I seriously doubt that YCDTOTV will ever be released on DVD.

Agreed - there's issues with the cast (which is insanely large, mind you) receiving royalties from broadcast/distribution of the show.

Nickelodeon doesn't own the show, CJOH in Ottawa does.

Nick had a contract with CJOH up until 1994 allowing them to show reruns of You Can't Do That on Television as they pleased. Once the contract expired, Nickelodeon stopped airing the show because they would have had to pay royalties depending on what episode they aired, and to each individual cast member featured in that episode.

So when Nickelodeon had their 20th anniversary in 1999, they bought 5 episodes outright from CJOH to use without having to pay royalties. They aired 2 or 3 of those episodes during a marathon.

Then when Nickelodeon had their 25th anniversary in 2004, the two episodes they ran were Pop Music and Enemies and Paranoia - which both aired during the 1999 marathon.

The problem is I've seen it listed in different places as Region Free and in other places as Region 2, hence without the actual DVD to test, it's impossible to know, and I don't want to spend the money to find out

Damn. I wish they'd release YCDTOT. Any show ballsy enough to have little kids being murdered by firing squads as one of their favorite running jokes is okay by me.

Did any of the cast members except for Alanis Morisette ever do anything else?

::surfing around imdb:: Holy shit, Jay and Silent Bob were guest stars on Degrassi: The New Generation?!

Oddly enough, Media Player was playing "Too Hot" while I was reading this thread.

Anyways, a pretty good site for finding out about cast members is at YCDTOTV.com.

Yeah I thought buying Garfield and Friends would be cool since I used to watch it every morning.

The nostaliga wore off after the first episode and I was left thinking why the hell did I just spend 30 dollars on this?

Be VERY weary of buying some of these shows on DVD that you used to watch as a kid.

One of the only one's that held up for still is Gargoyles, sweet show.
