Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted April 25, 2005 Hey, remember when these list things were going to go in Five Favorite Anything? That's the catch-all for these. At least it's not a magazine or website list, though.

Jingus 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2005 I would need a much bigger server than this to list all my guilty pleasure songs that make me look like a complete fairy. Let's just say that I was a big fan of Ace Of Base & UB40 and it all went downhill from there.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2005 Today I painted my fingernails pink while listening to Xtina Aguilera's "Beautiful" and that's the god's honest truth. Shut up, chicks dig it.
PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2005 Today I painted my fingernails pink while listening to Xtina Aguilera's "Beautiful" and that's the god's honest truth. Shut up, chicks dig it. I always have at least a couple of pink nails. Can't remember how it got started but it looks nicer than without, y'know? I was listening to Throbbing Gristle, tho. Kapoutman 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2005 Sheryl Crow - Soak Up The Sun B-52's - Love Shack Alanis Morissette - Head Over Feet Spin Doctor - Two Princes There are a lot more. These are the one I remember right now.
PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2005 I'll add 'Love Shack' but I should point out I actually think it's good. 'Animal Nitrate' by Suede...I don't think it's that guilty, it's just everyone I hang around with thinks disagrees, and Suede got reeeeally bad.

cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 Why would Two Princes be a guilty pleasure? That's a great song. Anyone mentioned the TATU song All the Things She Said?
PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 The synth line in 'All the things she said' is ok actually yeah. I can't decide whether I should consider The Vapors a guilty pleasure or not. 'Turning Japanese' is viewed as pretty silly, but they knew how to write a hook.
Kapoutman 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 Why would Two Princes be a guilty pleasure? That's a great song. I know, but I have been often teased for liking this song. So I just guessed it was a guilty pleasure. It doesn't seem to be really popular around here.
PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 Suede's 'Animal Nitrate' is loathed by the people I go to indie clubs with, but I love it.

Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 I found Britney Spear's "Toxic" to be one of her few songs I actually dig... and as I've said before, I like a lot of Backstreet Boys and NSync tunes...if that makes me "teh ghey" then so be it...
PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 I like toxic. Fan Fact: All being MASSIVE hits here in the UK, Toxic, 'Can't get you out of my head' (Kylie) and 'Sweet Dreams my L.A. Ex' (Rachel Stevens) Were all written by Cathy Dennis. Well done...
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 I don't know much about Kylie other than the fact that I want to jam my penis in her, but I do like that song of hers "Slow"...
PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 I don't know much about Kylie other than the fact that I want to jam my penis in her, but I do like that song of hers "Slow"... I've always found it quite weird she's never made it as big in the States. Here in the UK, she's been a HUGE star for years. Seeing her at glastonbury should be pretty cool, actually. nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 To have a guilty pleasure would indicate that I gave a fuck what people thought of the songs I like (why else would I feel guilty?!?). So, technically, none. But I do dig a lot of the songs other posters have referenced in this thread (e.g. I like Avril enough that I have "My Happy Ending" as one of the ring-tones on my phone ... hell, my ring tone list is like a who's who of cheesy songs, including the Cure, Kelis, Queen, the Killers)
Special K 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 Come on, you KNOW there's songs you hate to love. Songs that are so good they're bad. Rock me like a Hurricane Final Countdown (mostly due to GOB)
Ed Wood Caulfield 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 You can't hate "The Final Countdown". I don't care what VH1 and Blender Magazine say. That opening is bad ass! Besides, thanks to Arrested Development, I associate the song with Gob, so that makes it even better. "Ice Ice Baby"-Vanilla Ice "Informer"-Snow "Get Naked"-Methods Of Mayhem featuring Fred Durst, George Clinton, and Lil' Kim "I Just Want To Live"-Good Charlotte
DCMaximo 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 Suede's 'Animal Nitrate' is loathed by the people I go to indie clubs with, but I love it. The people you go to indie clubs with obviously have no taste- "Animal Nitrate" is easily the best pop song Suede ever wrote
