ChrisMWaters Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 OK...this thread here is one I thought up... How about some wrestlers that competed for a company (NWA, WWWF/WWF/WWE, WCW, ECW, AWA, etc) that you thought should have held some type of title, but never did. For me, in WWF...I was hoping for a Barry Horowitz/Hakushi tag team title reign.
Black Lushus Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 the way the WWE is handling the tag divisions these days, those two would have definently won it if they were wrestling now...
Betty Houle Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 I win this thread. Vader-WWF. You won nothing, chump.
brighty Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 I win this thread. Vader-WWF. when would you have put the belt on him? heading into WM13 to drop it to Taker?
Team Angle Pusher Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 Booker T - World Heavyweight Title (in 2003) Rhyno and Chris Benoit - WWE Tag Team Titles (I think in late 2002, early 2003)
Youth N Asia Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 Simon Diamond should have gotten a tag title run in ECW, Nova as well.
Guest jm29195 Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 when would you have put the belt on him? heading into WM13 to drop it to Taker? Beat Michaels for it at Summerslam 96, hold it til Wrestlmania XIII and then drop it to Taker. In the interim defend it against HBK in a rematch at Mindgames winning clean defending it against Foley at IYH 11 with a double dq as the finish defend it against Foley in a deathmatch winning clean at SS 96 defend it against Bret with Vader winning due to Austin-ference at IYH 12 Bret/Austin/Vader at Royal Rumble with Vader pinning Austin after Bret puts him Austin out of action and gets blindsided by Vader, allowing Vader to pin the unconcious Austin Taker wins rumble last eliminating HBK... HBK lands IYH main event slot as consolation for being last eliminated So we get Vader/Austin(heel) vs Bret/Michaels at IYH 13... Vader pins Bret following Sid laying out HBK at ringside, furthering a Bret/HBK rivalry for the summer... Taker comes out after the match and lays out Vader, Bret and Austin brawl to the back... So at WM13 we get Vader/Taker as the main event, in a match like Canadian Stampede, the finish being a top rope chokeslam or tombstone if they can manage it, Taker comes off looking a lot better than he did in reallity due to beating a long reigning dominant monster champion Bret/Austin will occur as it did in reality with all the Hart Foundation and HBK/Bret stuff following on... Also throw in Sid/Michaels with Michaels going over leading to a rematch at the next ppv.....
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 Vader should've won the belt at Summerslam 96. There was no reason not to put the belt on him and Michaels winning did a lot of damage to Vader.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 Vader was meant to get the WWF belt at Survivor Series in 1996. He was meant to be in the Sid spot of the Sid-Shawn-Sid WWF Title change program, but Shawn had it changed for some reason.
Black Lushus Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 perhaps he viewed beating Sid as making himself look stronger than beating Vader would? I dunno, just throwing something out...
JHawk Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 I thought Vader was hurt and that's why the program got changed.
Carnival Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 Raven - WCW US Title - more than one day. Tommy Dreamer - ECW Title - more than 30 minutes Booker T - World/WWE Title - either one in WWE and the obvious...... Jeff Jarrett - WWF World Heavyweight Championship
Youth N Asia Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 Jeff Jarrett - WWF World Heavyweight Championship That'll put asses in the seats
JHawk Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 Jeff Jarrett - WWF World Heavyweight Championship That'll put asses in the seats Hey, it puts about 300 asses in the seats at Universal Studios. Of course, those tickets are usually freebies...
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 I thought Vader was hurt and that's why the program got changed. Nope, it was all down to Shawn. It might have had something to do with a screw up in their Summerslam match, which saw Shawn throw one of his temper tantrums, albeit a minor one. It could be that Shawn was trying to dick around with Vader, in some sort of attempt at 'getting back' at him for the mistake.
Carnival Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 Jeff Jarrett - WWF World Heavyweight Championship That'll put asses in the seats it put my ass in a WCW seat.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 Jeff Jarrett - WWF World Heavyweight Championship That'll put asses in the seats it put my ass in a WCW seat. How is WCW doing these days ?
Carnival Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 Jeff Jarrett - WWF World Heavyweight Championship That'll put asses in the seats it put my ass in a WCW seat. How is WCW doing these days ? seriously laughing.....oh WCW is doing alright...still looks good on tape....i haven't seen an episode of nitro in awhile, maybe i tune into TNT next monday night and check it out.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 I thought Vader was hurt and that's why the program got changed. No Michaels whined about it and I think everyone else on the roster was whining about every little thing about Vader to try and save their spots.
Zack Malibu Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 I always thought that the Brian Pillman/Arn Anderson duo that led to the 4 Horsemen in 1995 should have had the tag titles. They were far better than most of the teams on the roster at that point. Three Count should have gotten the WCW Tag Titles as well.
TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe Posted May 10, 2005 Report Posted May 10, 2005 Kane deserved more than just a 1-day championship reign. Foley should have had at least a significant reign. He held it 3 times, but all for less than a month, and the third time was only for a day also. RVD should've won the title when he was mega over.

I think the Foley thing got really screwed up by Schivaone on Nitro, but you're right. And you're certainly right about Kane.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted May 10, 2005 Report Posted May 10, 2005 3 Count co-won the Hardcore Title and Helms and Karagias both got the Cruiser title, so they're disqualified.
Papacita Posted May 10, 2005 Report Posted May 10, 2005 Tazz should've been given the I-C Belt sometime around SummerSlam 2000 or Unforgiven.
ChrisMWaters Posted May 10, 2005 Author Report Posted May 10, 2005 3 Count co-won the Hardcore Title and Helms and Karagias both got the Cruiser title, so they're disqualified. Not really. This is for any title a wrestler didn't have, despite having another title. Three Count as Tag Team Champs...or Cruiserweight Tag Champs if that was continued, would have been good. And I could see IC Champ Tazz. He might have gotten it too had the Radicalz not come in shortly after he did.
Epic Reine Posted May 10, 2005 Report Posted May 10, 2005 Tazz was supposed to win the IC title in 2000 from Benoit but he tore his bicep and the idea was scrapped.
Sass Posted May 10, 2005 Report Posted May 10, 2005 Heavyweight champ: WW(W)E(F) Stan Hansen (1976) Greg Valentine (1979) Ken Patera (1981) Don Muraco (1981) Ted DiBiase (1988) Vader (1996) RVD (2002) Booker T (2003) NWA Andre the Giant (1982) Jumbo Tsuruta (1983) David Von Erich (1984) Bob Backlund (1985) Magnum TA (1986) Barry Windham (1987) Lex Luger (1988) WCW Rick Rude (1993) Chris Jericho (1999) Raven (1999) AWA Billy Robinson (1973) Hulk Hogan (1983) Sgt. Slaughter (1988)
Guest jm29195 Posted May 10, 2005 Report Posted May 10, 2005 Chris Jericho (1999) Raven (1999) I don't really see either of those at world title level in WCW `1999- sure, they should have been used more than they were but, US title at the most, their characters needed a lot more build and credibility given to them before they could be considered World Titlle Contenders- everyone else I can understand for example, as they were booked as main eventers but was screwed over with politics, however Raven/Jericho were never booked above the midcard in WCW and given that, should not be considered as World Title Worthy in 99.
