haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2005 Our station is playing the FLYING FUCK out of: Be Yourself - Audioslave the new Theory of a Deadman song the new SOAD song I am now EXTREMELY SICK AND FUCKING TIRED of hearing these songs. Especially after they played the Theory of a Deadman song, 5 times within the span of 3 hours this past Monday. I would post a top 20, but their website's top 20 was apparently last updated in 2003. It still has "Caught in the Rain" by Revis, and Bring me to life listed in the top 20.

Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted May 18, 2005 You guys are lucky. We don't even have a rock station out here in Nova Scotia. Growing up, every single station ever only played the slowest, most depressing music you can imagine. I blame it for a derpressed childhood. It's still like that today but at least now we got a 1hr rock cafe on the Hawk at 12:00 on the weekdays. Still, even then they'll often only play soft rock if you can even call it rock. Once every couple of days we get a couple of rock songs. Ranting over.

Granted, they're not nearly as good as they use to be but they still put out decent music. Actually, they're pretty damn bad. They peaked with their first album and only went downhill. Mind you, I still dig the shit out of stuff like "Sister Awake", "The Bazaar" and especially "Psycopomp" but they're worthless now. They do, however, have the dubios distinction of being the only Canadian band from the mid-90's alt-rock boom to still be around. Moist, Matthew Good Band, I Mother Earth etc. are all gone. Zetterberg is God 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2005 Actually, they're pretty damn bad. They peaked with their first album and only went downhill. Mind you, I still dig the shit out of stuff like "Sister Awake", "The Bazaar" and especially "Psycopomp" but they're worthless now. Their first four albums are all very good and they only started to decline with the release of Interzone Mantras. Splendor Solis is probably their best effort but the other three are right up there as well. The pressure to become more commercial is what ruined them, and working with Bob Rock (even if it was for only a few songs) didn't help them either.
Guest bort Report post Posted May 26, 2005 My home station is Edge 102.1, the list has been posted already. They pimp alot of Canadien stuff and the bands that will be playing EdgeFest (Rise Agiasnt, Story of the year) Also Our Lady Peace is by far the best of the Canadien rock groups, there last effort was weak and the clips of the new cd sound pretty pussy Clusmy is the best cd ever

Some of these I never heard on the air (American Idiot, Molly's Chambers, and Vertigo come to mind). They are playing the hell out of the other two Green Day songs, City of Blinding Lights (U2 just did three shows here, and BCN pimped them for two months), both Dropkicks songs, Girl by Beck (but not E-Pro), and Audioslave. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted June 2, 2005 Hey Matt Young, there's a rock station that hails from San Diego that you might be able to catch where you live since you live geographically closer to there than I did, and I got it as well. And while I love KROQ, it's by far the best station I've listened to. I loathe the old rock station here, and apparently so did most of South Florida, as they were replaced by a slightly better rock station, although they still kinda suck. 3:16 a.m. Nookie Limp Bizkit rate it | hear it 3:10 a.m. Be Yourself Audioslave rate it | hear it 3:04 a.m. Alive Pearl Jam - tour dates rate it | hear it 3:00 a.m. Aerials System Of A Down rate it | hear it 2:56 a.m. Walk Pantera rate it | hear it 2:51 a.m. Fall To Pieces Velvet Revolver - tour dates rate it | hear it 2:46 a.m. Tomorrow Silverchair rate it | hear it 2:42 a.m. Prison Sex Tool rate it | hear it 2:33 a.m. Otherside Red Hot Chili Peppers - tour dates rate it | hear it 2:29 a.m. Gone Away The Offspring - tour dates rate it | hear it 2:22 a.m. Nothing Else Matters Metallica rate it | hear it 2:18 a.m. Right Here Staind - tour dates rate it | hear it 2:14 a.m. Dragula Rob Zombie - tour dates rate it | hear it 2:11 a.m. Running Away Hoobastank - tour dates rate it | hear it 2:04 a.m. Vermilion Slipknot rate it | hear it 2:01 a.m. Somewhere I Belong Linkin Park rate it | hear it 1:55 a.m. Down In A Hole Alice In Chains rate it | hear it 1:50 a.m. Head Like A Hole Nine Inch Nails rate it | hear it 1:46 a.m. Figured You Out Nickelback - tour dates rate it | hear it 1:43 a.m. Zero Smashing Pumpkins rate it | hear it 1:37 a.m. Iron Man Black Sabbath The old rock station would've replaced the Sabbath, Metallica, Alice in Chains, and Smashing Pumpkins with Korn, Deftones, Three Days Grace, and pop-punk.
