RAW's newest Superstar, Kurt Angle, refuses to take a backseat to anybody. To prove this, Angle has already agreed to face World Heavyweight Champion Batista in one-on-one action. Will Angle's first RAW match since coming over in the Draft Lottery be a successful one? Has Batista bitten off more than he can chew before his huge Hell in a Cell Match with Triple H at Vengeance? Damnit to hell, ANOTHER wedding.

 

Has Angle/Batista ever happened before? I don't really have high hopes for the match, so maybe it'll really shock me and end up being pretty good. I'm sure Batista/Angle can have at least as much chemistry as Batista/HHH. That wouldn't be hard to have happen at least.

I don't think it's happened on TV, at least. IIRC Angle was still a heel when Batista was on SD (also a heel), and Batista didn't have any major programs wrestling, so I doubt it.

 

So not too sure how they'll mesh, but I'm not expecting anything spectacular. They never stated if the title was on the line, but nothing says it is so I'll assume non-title. I guess it's a tease that *maybe* it will end clean, but I'm trained to expect HHH, HBK, or both of them to run in.

 

Raw pretty much has everybody of merit on SD at this point, except for JBL. So it'll probably be some midcarder and hopefully SD gets somebody decent.

 

Draft guess: Raw gets Torrie and SD gets Kane, who presumably will crash the wedding. Unless Matt comes back, there's no other point to doing it.

Hey, have two heels ever done a wedding that wasn't a drive thru one (EDIT: even that was a heel and a face, since Steph was a face at the time)? Isn't it usually two faces or a heel and a face?

Victoria should come out and beat up all of the new Diva Search finalists.

 

Then Big Vis should come out and do something to them.

 

Then Lilian will turn on Big Vis because she's jealous. She'll get a different wrestling to take out Big Vis.

 

Then Big Vis/Lilian would actually have a point and lead to a match.

 

The Diva bitches would be buried. Victoria could progress her character. Lilian/Vis would be closer to being over.

 

I also don't like how this whole Kane/Lita/Edge (offhand Hardy) wedding drama is all just building to Lita taking a Chokeslam. Edge will probably still win the match but the crowd won't care as long as Kane gets his hands on Lita. Yet, Kane is the one that basically raped Lita. He's also the one that fell on her and made her lose her baby. Now, of course, he's the face, so as long as he gets his hands on that damn jezebel, everything is OK

Also, WWE has announced to the Phoenix media that Trish Stratus is scheduled to return to action on the show.  We haven't gotten that confirmed at this time but it was stated on a WWE press release sent out to the local media late last week.

I actually caught most of Raw last week and enjoyed it...admittedly, I was far from sober. Ill prolly miss tonights show for a metalshow at my local club; Angle-Batista and a billionth wedding doesnt really appeal to me.

Angle's always been great wrestling against bigger opponents (Kane, Big Show, Brock, Taker) so I think Angle can pull a pretty good match out of Batista.

This could be a red herring, but there is a rumor floating around at Raw that the company needs to get John Cena picked up from the airport later today as he flies back from England, where he was on the Smackdown UK tour, for tonight's show. The story making the rounds is that WWE also has to pick up the man scheduled to be the next draft pick on the same flight

 

The rumored draft pick is none other than The Big Show. Again, at this point it's only a rumor, but we felt we would share it with you

If PWI is right than I am just kind of feeling slapped in the face by WWE. Seriously what would be the chances that only all of these big names would be getting drafted? Whatever, I just think it would be better if it were more random.

I want to see some trading action tonight, or on Smackdown. If you don't exercise that option, why bother mentioning it in the first place? Didn't they also say that "contracts with the brands" could be re-negotiated at this time as well?

Well the problem here is that since they are making a notable mention on each show of the draft pick it almost has to be someone special. I mean if it was Kenzo Suzuki wouldn't it be a bit of a letdown?

Meh, Batista & Michaels Vs. HHH & Angle would have been a better main event. They should have saved Angle / Batista for another show. I'm expecting a run-in by HHH for the DQ finish.

You're thinking too much. Common sense isn't supposed to figure into this equation. I also question how basically Kane forced Lita into marriage and sex, now Lita gets out of it, but she is a "damn jezebel" according to JR. Did JR even pay attention the last 7 months. What starts hurting my head is that Lita all of a sudden is cool with Kane when she loses her baby, which I guess was Kane's face turn, although it sucked.

 

I also find it funny they had the "Big Red Machine" crying, figuring or not figuring it will kill him in the crowd's eyes, yet they think he'll be right back to normal "Big Red Machine" status by chokeslamming someone a bunch of times. There was a thread in this folder about Jericho not being seen as credible ever again. Kane has now surpassed Jericho.

I just thought it was bullshit for MONTHS, Lita was trying a way to get out of her marriage, then by taboo Tuesday, she actually cared about Kane. You'd figure getting his ass handed to him by Snitsky would have been the very thing she was looking forward to seeing. I swear its Russo booking all over again!
