The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2005 Since I began watching wrestling, Shawn Michaels has always been my least-favourite wrestler, easily. But in recent months, my dislike for Michaels has worn off..and I'm actually starting to like him. I can't even remember why I hated him in the first place (other than that hideous entrance). I've even started to like his older matches, unlike before, when I would refuse to even consider that he put on entertaining matches. Considering I dislike spotty selling, have no remorse for drug addicts and I'm a homophobe Canadian, this is ruining my entire life. Please give me enough reasons to hate Shawn Michaels before the universe collapses on itself. Ah well, at least I still hate Jericho.

The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2005 Ah well, at least I still hate Jericho. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And why do you hate Jericho, if I may ask? Cause he 'modelled' his career on HBK? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mainly because he's so bad on the mic that heel or face, I want to murder him. His gestures and mannerisms also drive me insane. His in-ring skills are alright, though. More reasons! I need more reasons.
Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2005 There is nothing wrong with changing your opinion about someone. Just because you hated someone upon your initial viewing doesn't mean you can't warm up to the guy. Things can go the other way too. I'll tell you I used to hate JBL, but the guy has now grown on me and worked his ass off to become one of the very few reasons to even watch SD. On the other hand, I used to like HHH, even a year or so after the quad tear, but now the guy needs to leave for a year or so or just tear the quad again so he can get off my TV screen for awhile. You shouldn't have to search for a reason to hate a guy, you should just know whether you do or not.

bob_barron 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2005 Yea, my HBK hate is starting to wear off too. I mean I don't like the guy, and I would probably laugh if I suffered a career ending injury, but I don't hate actively hate him anymore.

Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2005 He surrendered more titles than he jobbed. He ruined Vader's North American career. Instead this led to Sid being a two-time WWF Champion. He refused to job to Steve Austin in the main event of the most important show since the demise of the Golden Age and only eventually did it because Undertaker threatened him. Between September 1993 & November 1994 he was a full time wrestler for about 3 months, despite not being injured. He stuck his nose in the Wrestlemania XX main event, denying us of Benoit's single win over HHH and despite the fact that he said back in 1999 that Wrestlemania main events should only be one-on-one. Jingus 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2005 The only person he's jobbed to more than once in the past DECADE is, you guessed it, HHH. Whether it was true or not, claimed that Bret was having an affair with Tammy on live TV. Got his ass kicked in so many shootfights that beating the shit out of Shawn was like a backstage pasttime from 95-97. Blatantly lied over and over again about a variety of subjects throughout his career. For examples, watch Wrestling With Shadows and his RFVideo shoot interview. Somehow stayed employed by the WWF throughout his four-year layoff despite dozens of other wrestlers being fired. Introduced the wrestling world to Hotstuff Hernandez. bob_barron 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2005 He put over Shelton Benjamin then, plus HHH. That makes two. And one could say he put over Shelton twice, with that interview the next week. Playing Devil's Advocate is fun. Oh and CM Funk- watch One Night Only. You'll hate HBK then.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2005 He ruined Vader's North American career. Wrong answer. The correct answer was Hulk Hogan. Shawn just made it harder for Vader to be a threat.
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2005 "The only person he's jobbed to more than once in the past DECADE is, you guessed it, HHH." Keep in mind he didn't wrestle for over 4 years in that decade. - Also, Michaels allowed Goldberg to destroy him in the Elimination Chamber and never got that job back. - In 2003, Michaels was HUMILIATED by Jericho at the Royal Rumble and eliminated with great ease. He also tapped to Jericho's "Walls" on Raw. - Michaels jobbed to Randy Orton at Unforgiven 2003 and did the same to him (while also producing a **** match) at Survivor Series 2003. - He did win the rematch, but the WM match between Michaels and Kurt Angle was seen by many many many more people, on a grand stage, and had the "Let's Find Out Who the Best of Two Generations Really Is" story, and Michaels put Angle over clean. Cut him some slack.
pochorenella 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2005 He screwed Bret. Bret Hart screwed Bret Hart. Shawn just did what Vince told him to do, so it's unfair to tag him with that, although it's the "popular" thing to do by smarks.

Guest JMA Report post Posted July 4, 2005 As for Shawn Michaels, he was a huge dick in the past (as it's been documented). However, I'd like to believe that he's changed. Jingus 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2005 blather <{POST_SNAPBACK}> When you have to reach that far to twist the rules and find new definitions of "jobbing", then it doesn't count. But for all the anal-retentives out there: the only person who's defeated him more than once cleanly without cheating or outside interference in singles matches in the past DECADE is, you guessed it, HHH. Come on, this guy actually ASKED for reasons to hate Shawn, why are people defending him?
iliketurtles 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2005 When Michaels came back for the Street Fight against Triple H at Summerslam 2002, I became a fan of him. From late 97 up until that point, I fucking hated Shawn Michaels. He was a piece of shit. He screwed my favorite wrestler. I couldn't stand him. But then he came back and changed his ways and I respected him more and became a fan of him. He's such a great performer though him as a person is definately difficult to judge since we really don't know what he's like anymore, but based on most people, he really has changed for the better. I think Michaels is going to be like Flair and never leave wrestling until he's in his late, late 60s-early 70s. I don't see him retiring, even though there should come a point where he does. I guess because after his match with Austin at Mania 14, I assumed he'd never wrestle again. And the fact he did, and not only came back and amazed me, but did it on a regular basis, just was unbelivable. At times I wonder about the back injury and how severe it really was. UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2005 It's not "blather", you idiot. Look at the rosters he's dealt with. JERICHO: Put Y2J over as a sneaky victor at Rumble 2003. Put Y2J over by tapping on Raw Summer 2003. ORTON: Put Orton over at Unforgiven 2003. Put Orton over at Survivor Series 2003. JANNETTY: Without Michaels, we wouldn't have gotten the return of Jannetty, not to mention Angle and Sherri's hilarious spot. GOLDBERG: Put Goldberg over. TRIPLE H: Put him over in various boring matches. RIC FLAIR: Put Flair over in their "first time ever" match at Bad Blood 2003. (Note: Flair acknowledged their match in '91 as Michaels not being at the level he was at in 2003(. RVD: Although the Nov. 2002 match wasn't good and ended horribly, Michaels' first defense of the World Title came due to Michaels putting RVD's talents and excitement over in an interview, and saying that was who he wanted to face. ________ Michaels is fucking great. Get over it.
