Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted October 17, 2005 Yeah the Seahawks are quietly becoming the great team they were supposed to be the past couple years, somehow becoming the NFL's #1 offense to little fanfare. A win over Dallas next week will kick that into overdrive, surely.

Zetterberg is God 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2005 Bills played pretty good again this week but it's only going to get tougher. They could probably beat the Raiders (especially if Moss is out) but after that they get New England, Kansas City and San Diego. It's going to be difficult to beat those teams but if they keep up the solid running game and play quality defense, they could make it interesting.

KNK I think it's safe to say the can make playoffs, can they make it to Detroit? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 2005 is awfully similar to the 1988 season, right down the same record (5-1) and the site city for the SB. However, I'd love to see them go to Detroit this year, seeing as it's my last realistic chance of going to a Superbowl. I don't think they will get there this year. The Colts and Broncos look better for right now.

cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2005 The Colts score doesn't surprise me tonight. The Rams might not be any good anymore but they can still put up numbers against most anyone. I forgot what I predicted this would be but I think I said something like 45-31. In fact here's my exact words from page 1: "MON, OCT 17 St. Louis at Indianapolis--No upset here. It'll be a wild track meet though, a blast to watch. Colts are clearly better though, so it'll be about 45-31." It's funny though, when the Colts were down 17-0 I didn't for one minute think the Rams had any shot to win. I just thought "Well, time for Peyton, Marvin, and Edgerrin to earn their money now." Anyway, the Colts will almost surely squash the hapless Texans next week before the bye....and then likely be 7-0 going to Foxboro. If you don't know what will happen there, you haven't watched football the past 5 years.

NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2005 After watching yesterday's Cowboys/Giants game, it makes me feel better about the Skins this season. The 'Boys and Giants were the two teams that experts said might make some noise in the NFC East to decrown the Eagles, yet they played each other yesterday in what was truly a suckfest of a game. Neither offense looked good, and the game was a slopfest. Meanwhile the Skins come off two road games @Denver and @KC both losses coming down to the final play of the game. Skins get the 49ers next week, which should elevate them to 4-2, meanwhile it is conceivable to say the cowboys lose to Seattle dropping them to 4-3, putting the Skins back in first place~! (Yeah I'm a homer, sue me biatch)
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted October 18, 2005 Nothing wrong with being a homer there, Mike. The `Skins really do look good, and can play with both conferences' best teams, and Mark Brunell is finally looking like the spark he was supposed to be last year. Ripper 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2005 Falcons had a bad win this weekend. The secondary looked horrible. No...check that. The SAFETYS looked horrible as they were just picked on all day. The linebackers and corners were the defensive players the showed up. The offense was horrid, but way to go defense for scoring two touchdowns and setting up a third. HORRIBLE call at the end of regulation. it had nothing to do with the kick and the game should have gone into overtime. I know it was indeed against the rules, but jeez, make the call if it becomes important. Let the guys play. Falcons win, but they shouldn't be proud of how it went down. cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2005 The Colts have to beat the Pats SOMETIME. I mean the past few years the Patiots have simply had the better record and been the better team. Is there any harm in a team that is 12-4 losing to one that is 14-2? That said if the Colts are about 14-2 this year and they lose to a 10-6 Patriots, then they are embarrassing and jinxed. One of the Saints' linemen held one of the Falcon defenders so one of his teammates could shoot through the gap. The refs were saying afterward that they ALWAYS watch for that on last-second kicks. nogoodnick 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2005 The Colts are the best team in football right now. The Pats are struggling at .500 (although they are tied for the division lead). If there ever was a perfect time for Peyton to kick the shit out of New England its coming in a few weeks. NE no longer has the mystique they might have in the past. They also are without two amazing co-ordinators and some key players. Im betting the Colts forget about the past and beat em up pretty good. This isn't nearly the same New England team from the past few years.
