My choices would be Max Payne and Castlevania. Both could be franchises if handled properly.

Strider, as long as the whacked-out aesthetics are kept intact and someone with a sense of style directs.

regardless of what people think of the Matrix movies, i think the Wachowski Brothers (or is it brother and sister now? whatever that rumor was) could make a good Strider movie..what exactly is the Strider story, anyway? Did the NES and Sega games have anything in common other than names?

I believe it's something about some overlord from outer space wiping out most of the world's population and enslaving the rest, then our friend Strider Hiryu comes to the rescue.

As for the SEGA/NES issue, no idea.

I vote a Monkey Island movie if the writing team stays the same from the games to the movie.

And a Legend of Zelda movie made by the people who made the Lord of the Rings movies would be interesting in my eyes as well.

EDIT: And, just because I thought of it when I was younger, a Mega Man movie (based on the original series). Course, don't use the people I had in mind when I was younger. I had Macully Culkin (or however you spell his name) as Mega Man, Hulk Hogan as Guts Man...and the only choice I could stick with if he's healthy enough: Christopher Lloyd as Dr. Wily.

That Zelda poster is gold.

And since somebody once joked to me about the possibility of Michael Jackson as Link, it doesn't seem as awful as it should seem to me.

I'd love the folks who made Lost Skeleton of Cadavra to get a decent budget and make a Destroy All Humans game, but I still get to soak in the source material very often anyway.

Sailor Moon: Another Story.

Make it happen, Toei.

Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night.

They're actually coming out with a Castlevania movie directed by the same guy who did Mortal Kombat and Resident Evil. It's based on the Belmont clan.

Oh, how I would love to see a movie based on SOTN, but knowing hollywood, they'd cast Ashton Kutcher as Alucard or something.
