Adam Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 I swear, ESPN have a list of about 6 teams to cover for the season. San Antonio, Detroit, Cleveland, New York, Miami and the Lakers. Every game has to involve at least one of these teams. Hey, at least we get a Bucks game to mix it up every once in a while.

It makes me long for the days when ABC had the NBA back in the 70s, where they would put on pretty much any two teams and call it the Game of the Week.

I think they want doubleheaders and with nothing better to show, stick a Warriors home game in the late spot. Mavericks have had no shortage of national games the last three years; I haven't been watching as much this year, though.

And then they squeak out a five point win against a Pacer team lacking O'Neal, Artest and Tinsley. Shocking, really.

I would think it would be a Kobe-type deal where repercussions are taken later in the week after reviewing tapes.

ESPN is too busy fellating the Pistons, anyways. They have 30 wins with only 5 losses and may be on pace for a 70 win season. It's hard not to overlook that. They are the best team in the league, period.

And I hate all the teams he likes, but I still appreciate his writing ability and unique viewpoints. The best part about that is how bad of a GM Isaiah really is...it's like the guy can't handle being bad at something. He was a bad coach and he's a worse manager...that's nothing to be ashamed at, because he's a hall of fame player.

And of those three losses, all were on the road, without Jefferson, and the Spurs game was close. And on that winning streak, they beat such jobbers as Miami, Cleveland, Clippers and Denver. Yea, the NBA really gave them 10 gimmees right there.
Brett Favre Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 Isiah's not a bad general manager at all. The only thing he sucks at, is with the financial standpoint. Other than that, he's given this team an actual core. Before him, we were going to build around Sweetney, Houston, McDyess, and Lampe. With him, we're now going to build around Robinson, Frye, Lee, Curry, Crawford, and Ariza, with hopefully Marbury along the way (as he continues to improve). That's a nice core.

When you think about it, all the trades he's made, he's gotten back a better player. Take a look at all the transactions. Sure, he's had to take back salary at times, but he's never given up a better player. He's also good at drafting.
