NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 Just wondering if anybody knows for sure who it is?
tpww7 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 I'm not sure on it, but I'd say Saturn/Kidman/Terry Funk.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 DDP's name was thrown around but i'm sure that is the usual speculation.
BUTT 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 Meltzer says: "*Raven vs. ????. Stips are that if Raven wins, he gets an NWA title match next month. If he loses, he leaves TNA. As a hint, the guy scheduled for the spot is someone one at least would suspect Raven will have a good match with, so it's not a guy like Sandman. However, it's not 100% locked into place as of the last word."
Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 Hmmm, Kidman would be nice, and would fit Meltzer's description. Plus Kidman was a Flock member in WCW, so they could play that up. Speaking of, anyone else find it weird how TNA is the company bringing up WCW more than WWE lately?
snuffbox 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 Speaking of, anyone else find it weird how TNA is the company bringing up WCW more than WWE lately? Not really...wwe only seems to care about its 'homegrown' talent usually and like to pretend WCW didnt exist except for 'comedy time' with Bischoff, etc. TNA has a good Southern demographic so playing up WCW memories is a pretty good idea. Sideburnious 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 I'm gonna go out on a limb and hope for Mike Awesome. I'd say him and Raven would have a good match together.
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 Awesome would actually be a good choice. They were ECW Tag Champs together.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 I'm gonna go out on a limb and hope for Mike Awesome. I'd say him and Raven would have a good match together. Page/Funk/Kidman would be the three most likely, imo.
Failed Bridge 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 I still say Kanyon would be the best choice.
MikeJordan23 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 I still say Kanyon would be the best choice. Blah, they already did that.
Failed Bridge 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 when has Kanyon worked in TNA? I don't recall him previously being able to due to the no-compete clause.
Guest Coffey Report post Posted January 16, 2006 He was Raven's last mystery opponent. He came out looking all fat.
MikeJordan23 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 when has Kanyon worked in TNA? I don't recall him previously being able to due to the no-compete clause. Last PPV (OR the one before). He used the name Chris K or something. Decent match.
Failed Bridge 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 Does Tommy Dreamer still work for the WWE in any compacity?
Guest Coffey Report post Posted January 16, 2006 Yes, road agent. He's not going anywhere.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 Did they openly say it was someone not in the company? because it could easily mean someone currently in TNA that's a part of Raven's "past" although, who that would be I have no idea.
Failed Bridge 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 have they had Raven take on Too Cold Scorpio yet? He could be another one. Last I knew Mike Awesome was in Japan, so I doubt he'd be able to do it.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 For "ECW" purposes, I could see it being Sandman, because besides Dreamer, he had the biggest feud and storylines with Sandman. Of course there is always Funk.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 For "ECW" purposes, I could see it being Sandman, because besides Dreamer, he had the biggest feud and storylines with Sandman. Of course there is always Funk. Why does everyone skip over WCW? He had some good stuff with Saturn, Page and Kanyon there. Kanyon has been used, I really think it's Page. Dewe 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 October 28, 2001 - Heat: X-Factor (Albert & X-Pac) defeated Justin Credible & Raven Don't you all remember?
Guest Coffey Report post Posted January 16, 2006 I remember Waltman replacing, I think Jeff Hardy, in a House of Fun match with Raven that turned out to be pretty good.
haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 The match tonight wasn't too terrible. Waltman has a bit of a belly on him but other than that was his same old self. I believe Zybyzsko introduced him as X-Pac.
Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 This is what I fucking hate about TNA. They botch shit like this ALL THE TIME.
Guest Coffey Report post Posted January 16, 2006 Outside of Tommy Dreamer, whom they weren't going to get, they couldn't have really got anyone where it wouldn't be a disappointment. Kanyon has already came in. Funk is six-hundred years old. Waltman, Justin Credible & Sabu have all been around recently. Kidman is the shits. Saturn got shot like fourteen times. Whom could they have got where it wouldn't have been bad?
