Naked Snake 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2006 The Best Promo Video Ever I was actually going to start a thread about that look Austin gives himself in the mirror. I think it is so awesome on so many levels. First of all, it foreshadows the upcoming heel turn later on the match. Second of all, it shows Austin at odds with himself, as he wants to win the WWF title in his homestate at the biggest stage of them all, but might not be 100% (still coming off the neck injury). It's a simple look in the mirror, but it is well done in establishing and developing Austin's character at that time...

MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2006 Whatever happened to the Jerichoholic Ninja anyway, am i forgetting something or did he just disappear one day? He was speared by Goldberg a couple weeks later and never heard from again. Ralphus managed to dodge to bullet.
Jebus 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2006 Successful jacknife on the Giant in WCW...I've personally never seen this one before.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cT_KvSV5l0 Wow. Yeah, I remember having my jaw on the floor when this happened at SuperBrawl 1997... BTW, this move also led to the finish in which Lex Luger comes in and torture racks Nash (whose back was OUT) for the submission and the tag titles.

haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2006 I saw that WCW Thunder Blunders video a while back. Some interesting things on there for sure. Nash and Funk having the most boring fight ever....over a branding iron, Arquette winning the World Title, Sid cutting promos, it never ends. What was with Sting and Sid being Macho Man's cronnies though? I don't remember ever seeing this. Goldberg beating the shit out of the PTB's limo's windows always brings me a laugh, seeing as how he nearly bled to death on the spot. One thing I can't believe is how OVER Mene Gene is when hes fighting Mark Madden. The announcers are having a cow, and the crowd is on their feet for Gene. Unbelievable, and I loved every second of it. In another stroke of genius from WCW, DDP is trying to knock this guy off the top turnbuckle, so he falls into the ropes on THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RING, causing the guy to jump onto the top rope. Vampiro69 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2006 Sid and Sting being buddies with Savage in the street made no sense to me either. I know that Gorgeous George was kidnapped for the angle, but for the life of me I don't remember this taking place. Whats strange is that I watched WCW till the day it died and this is drawing blanks from me.

I know that Gorgeous George was kidnapped for the angle, but for the life of me I don't remember this taking place. Whats strange is that I watched WCW till the day it died and this is drawing blanks from me. I don't put any money on me but I think it was another fake Sting angle. I'm not 100% sure but Sting turned heel at Fall Brawl and by that time Savage was done with the company.
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2006 Here's the explanation: The stip. for the Sting/Nash Vs. Savage/Sid match was that whoever pinned Kevin Nash would be World Champion...even Nash's (the champ) partner Sting! This made no sense, obviously, how can a partner pin a partner? So WCW kind of revised it while being very obvious that they themselves had no idea how to book the match. Basically, it came down to "Winner of the fall gets the title belt". Savage had the fake Sting attack Nash to create dissention and distrust in an already shaky team.
Darth Vader 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2006 Sorry if this one has been since re-done. Bruce from Conneticut again Bruce from Conneticut from Page 1 wad dead. This one worked. It's amazing how much Vince's on air character has changed in the last 10 years. Then he didn't even have the balls to stand up to Paul Heyman on his own show, now his runs around like a crazed asshole claiming that he is the prophet of his own religion. Something snapped in this man somehow along the way.

haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2006 Low Ki vs Essa Rios Not a bad match, though extremely short. Low Ki working WWE style is so ackward to watch, though he does kick the shit out of Essa a few times. Instead of talking about whats going on in the ring, Coach and Hayes are too busy talking about the upcoming gimmick battle royal for Wrestlemania X-7. Essa Rios does some pretty insane stuff in the match too.

haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2006 If you're talking about Dennis Stamp, he's sort of a cult hero over at the Wrestlecrap message boards. He was a close friend of Terry Funk and had a somewhat big role in the Beyond the Mat movie. Funk wanted Stamp to referee his 'retirement' match against Bret Hart, but Stamp didn't want to do it at first because 'he wasn't booked', and was just ASKED by Funk. His story was he wrestled a couple thousand matches over his career, but was never in the main event. They show him jumping on a trampoline wearing a speedo because "he has to keep himself in ring-shape because he never knows when his phone is going to ring with someone asking him to come wrestle". Keep in mind, the guy is in his mid-50's or so, and just really can't let go of his past in wrestling. He eventually decides to referee the Funk/Hart match becuase it will be his first spotlight in the main event of a show. He has a really sad and depressing story in the movie, but the guys at the Crap love him.

haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2006 God, I used to love when Sting would do that. At first he would use his baseball bat to lay waste to the nWo, but after a while, I think it was Hogan who started questioning his manhood and said something like he was hiding behind his weapon. So, one night, Sting came to the ring when Giant and Luger were being attacked. Sting got in the ring, pointed his bat at the nWo, then pointed at the fans. The place was going absolutely INSANE at this point. Then Sting did the unthinkable, dropped his bat to the outside of the ring, and destroyed the entire nWo with his bare hands! I miss those days. Sting had some of the best and stiffest looking punches of anyone in North America at the time.
