Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2008 At least Mind of Mencia isn't the first commercial of every commercial break, and occasionally one or two in the middle. I'm seriously considering not watching anything on Comedy Central until it's been on for a few weeks so I don't have to sit through advertising for the godawful show. And I normally would just say that it LOOKS shitty instead of calling it shitty, but I've seen enough clips by know and know enough of how bad David Allen Grier is to feel pretty safe in saying the show sucks. Yeah, I never understood how David Allen Grier keeps getting work. The guy isn't really that funny, and the previews for the show look awful. I think it'll bomb out though. RedJed 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2008 "Feast 2" is pretty awful. They basically took all the parts about the first one that I didn't like (though I like the first one) and pretty much amplified them. Skip it. Who is all in the film that was in the first one? And does it pretty much tie into the first well? IIRC the ending of the first Feast was kind of WTF and definately warranted a sequal to follow that. I thought the first was great stuff and it was fun to follow the start to finish of everything relating to it from the Project Greenlight show on Bravo, which it was featured on. Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2008 David Allen Grier is fucking hilarious, and I will defend him to the death.
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2008 I'm decidedly indifferent about David Allen Grier. I like In Living Color and he was a pretty good when he hosted SNL back in the mid-90s but everything else he's been in is pretty terrible. DAG or Thank God You're Here!, any one? strummer 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2008 Grier excels in situations where he is working with great writing (ie In Living Color) but is pretty awful when he has to carry things on his own (DAG, that horrible semi improvised Bonnie Hunt Show)

Steviekick 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2008 ahem... I guess as a result of reading comics, I'm used to changes like this. Either way, I think Cheadle will do a fine job in IM2.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2008 Oh he'll be fine, Cheadle is as fine an actor as it gets...I just hate changing actors mid-franchise. Except for Kirsten Dunst...they can can that twerp anytime now.
Boner Kawanger 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2008 So I'm guessing this means Terrence Howard wants to pursue his music career.

Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2008 Considering Cheadle's talent, I definitely approve of this move. Just stick him and Downey in front of a blue screen chatting for two hours and I'm there.
Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2008 W was better than I expected. It was fairly even-handed throughout, although it took some timeline liberties (ex: when he said the "won't get fooled again" thing), and James Cromwell was a terrible choice for Bush Sr. but Josh Brolin nailed the character, especially the voice, and Jeffrey Wright came very close to stealing the movie around the middle section in a scene where they hammer out the plan for the war. Dreyfus was good as well with his portrayal of Cheney. He could've been a sneering villainous type guy with death rays and ranting about the Big Board but there was a very noticable lack of death rays (there was a Big Board but it wasn't referred to as such). The ending didn't work, but the ending to the movie was going to be an issue anyways. But it seemed like they couldn't decide between several decent possible ending points so they went with none of the above. Overall, I'd say it's worth seeing for Brolin and Wright, Dreyfus too but to a lesser extent.

Guest Smues Report post Posted October 16, 2008 So I'm being forced to buy the DVD of The Happening (AKA: The Rifftrax comes out next week) and I notice it says that the DVD includes over an hour of deleted scenes. AN EXTRA HOUR OF THAT PIECE OF SHIT? Dear lord. Would I be wrong in guessing the 99% of the extra scenes is just more over the top deaths that defy logic? Or maybe it's just a one hour Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch concert that turns out to be the reason everyone is killing themselves.

strummer 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2008 new Norm show? It’s been a while since you’ve starred in a TV series. Do you see yourself doing a TV show again? I’m going to do a TV series on FX. It’s called “The New Norm MacDonald” show. It’s a new kind of show. What is the show going to be about? I can’t tell you because it’s never been done before. It’s very hard to describe, actually. It would be close to “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” or something like that. about time

RepoMan 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2008 I caught the original Stepford Wives last night on TCM. It was a great watch even knowing the ending beforehand-9/10 I though the remake was fairly bad before (I gave it about a 4.5 out of 10 when I saw it), now I want to kick whoever was responsible for that abortion in the nuts. It was awsome to Robert Osborne went out his way to trash the remake when giving his post movie thoughts.
Epic Reine 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2008 I watched Chapter 27 last night (the movie about Mark David Chapman, John Lennon's killer) and for all the weight Jared Leto gained, he really wasn't convincing enough. The movie overall was average.
