Lil' Bitch Posted July 15, 2006 Report Posted July 15, 2006 Seeing how SNME is tonight, I figured I'd make this thread. For me, The Ultimate Warrior teaming up with the Road Warriors to take on all three members of Demolition The final classic SNME featuring all the gold in the WWF being defended, that was awesome.
JHawk Posted July 15, 2006 Report Posted July 15, 2006 Jake Roberts vs. Randy Savage (November 1986) Randy Savage vs. Bret Hart (November 1987) Two of the great SNME matches ever right there.
snuffbox Posted July 15, 2006 Report Posted July 15, 2006 Oktoberfest (Had that LOD/Warrior-Demo match) Undertaker face turn Hogan-Andre Savage-HTM Warrior-DiBiase Rockers-Brainbusters HBK-Bulldog
Danville_Wrestling Posted July 15, 2006 Report Posted July 15, 2006 I'm a big fan of the controversial Hogan-Orndorff cage match.
CanadianGuitarist Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 Despite the fact I don't like either of them, there's something that really stands out to me in the Warrior planting the feud seeds with Hogan by accidentally clotheslining him.
Hawk 34 Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 I Loved the battle royal where Henning stood on the apron the whole time, Tugboat tosses Hogan out and Michaels as a Rocker somehow made the final 3 against the big heels.
foleyfanforever88 Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 Mark Henry getting injured last night.
Hasbeen1 Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 Mark Henry getting injured last night. I'd love to see you say that to his face..as for the topic, the Savage turn on Hogan/Elizabeth jealousy angle was great.

Was that against Mr Perfect and the genius Poffo, if so I was there.

I'd love to see you say that to his face..as for the topic, the Savage turn on Hogan/Elizabeth jealousy angle was great. I've always thought the "I'd like you to say that to so and so's face" was one of the greatest comebacks in wrestling message board history!
Guest Hotbutter Spoontoaster Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 Mark Henry getting injured last night.I'd love to see you say that to his face I'D LOVE TO SEE YOU THAT TO MY FACE! Just shut up. Henry sucks, he got hurt. Yay, yay I say.
Hasbeen1 Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 No, you wouldn't. Trust me on that. It's a really weak, or really bitter person that gets on here and wishes pain on somebody just because they don't like the wrestler's skills or character. Nobody including me is going to claim Henry is the best wrestler out there, he wouldn't either. As for the saying it to his face thing, if you can't say something about somebody in front of them it's not worth saying, and is cowardly. I only met Mark Henry once, very briefly, but he seemed like a very good person and he does his best in there even though he abilities are limited. Back to the topic, thanks to those that brought up the Warrior/Legion of Doom vs Demolition match. I have that on tape somewhere and will look for it, haven't watched it in years and would enjoy it.
BruiserKC Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 I was in the stands at the taping of SNME when Hogan superplexed Bossman off the top of the cage. I've never been a Hogan fan but that was a classic "Holy Shit!" moment long before they chanted it.
razazteca Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 Ultimate Road Warriors vs Demolition is on WWF Superstar tape #3. The Savage/Hogan/Elizabeth angle is the greatest angle from SNME.

Guest Arnold_OldSchool Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 I loved it as a kid as well, but anyone with PWI knew Hogan and Bossman had been doing the superplex from the cage on arena shows for months before that.

Was that against Mr Perfect and the genius Poffo, if so I was there. Yes, yes it was. I will have to go back and look at the tape, I don't know how much you can tell, but I think a lot of people missed much of the Hogan and Warrior thing. I'm wanting to say they had words after the match, and a lot of people were already getting up to leave. It was a 4 hour show, easy, as they taped a lot of squashes for one of their syndicated shows. I remember seeing Tugboat in that indentity for the first time, at about the 3:30 mark, and the crowd began chanting Hogan as the Hulk had not been seen yet. Most had no idea who Tugboat was, and I felt bad because the crowd could have cared less by that point.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 Seeing Shawn get his first WWF title belt against Davey was an awesome mark-out moment for a 9-year old UTSU.
foleyfanforever88 Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 The final classic SNME featuring all the gold in the WWF being defended, that was awesome. That would be awesome with today's champs..maybe not with the titles on the line but just as a RAW vs SD thing... Edge/Nitro/Kenny/Johnny/one of the others vs Rey/Finlay/Helms/London/Kendrick
CanadianChris Posted July 17, 2006 Report Posted July 17, 2006 Mr. Perfect destroying Hogan's belt backstage, HTM/Savage and all the postmatch activities, and the Demolition/Brainbusters 2/3 falls tag title match are my best memories of SNME.
Coffin Surfer Posted July 17, 2006 Report Posted July 17, 2006 Hogan vs. Funk -Excellent little match with both workers fired up and in a creative mood. Hogan vs. Race -Not as great as their more competitive matches but still tons of fun, one of my favorite sub 10 minute matches with Race bumping like a lunatic and Hogan playing pissed and crazy. Rockers vs. Brainbusters -The great opening of a classic tag match anyway. Demolition vs. Brainbusters 2/3 Falls -Huge Demo mark and this is the closet thing to an excellent match you'll see them in. The mentioned Hogan/Savage angle, fantastic camp. And of course the Hogan/Bossman Superplex and the great death sell that follows.
Black Lushus Posted July 17, 2006 Report Posted July 17, 2006 -Honky and the Harts beating down Savage, leading to Savage's face turn -Savage's heel turn on Hogan the following year -Hogan/Orndorff -Hogan/Andre
Guest wildpegasus Posted July 17, 2006 Report Posted July 17, 2006 Santana vs Martel (Both) and Santana vs Perfect. Rockers vs Demolition. Rockers vs the Hart Foundation

I never said I wished anything on him, just that I don't give a shit that somebody I don't know got hurt. I'm not happy that he got hurt, I'm happy I don't have to watch him wrestle. I'd say it to his face too, Henry ain't got shit on me, bro.
Vampiro69 Posted July 20, 2006 Report Posted July 20, 2006 I would love to see Mark Henry confront you for those remarks. My money would be on Henry.
Guest Hotbutter Spoontoaster Posted July 21, 2006 Report Posted July 21, 2006 I'd punch him in the nuts, and then throw a cheeseburger into oncoming traffic. Bitch couldn't handle me.
