RonL21 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2007 I mean honestly.....What if Cena Gets injured...or Lashley or Edge....What are they gonna do? They've been dropping like flies lately I would imagine they're taking a chance w/ the all extreme rules thing for ONS.... Who's seriously gonna step up if something drastic happens within the next few weeks Is someone gonna pull a Trish Stratus? Discuss....
Enigma 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2007 Well, PWI reported yesterday that Chris Jericho is close to returning. So he's a reserve, I guess.
Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2007 As long as Cena and Edge avoid getting hurt, they won't be too badly damaged. Now, if Cena goes down, then I'm seeing Khali get the WWE belt until Hunter can return and get it back. If Edge goes down, it'll either be Kennedy or Batista getting the World belt. Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2007 JBL? (Not sure if he's actually confirmed his retirement) He's confirmed he's retired as a full-time performer, but he's open to coming back for a big match from time to time.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2007 If Cena went down tomorrow, I'd be willing to bet that they'd go ahead and give Orton the title so that he could then feud with HHH once he returns, obviously leading to HHH beating Orton for the title. And yeah, Jericho is on the verge of returning, he just needs to finally say yes to it all. He was in talks with WWE earlier this year for a return to the ring in September, but because of everything that's happened lately, WWE and Jericho decided to push everything forward. It's said that he's a lock for a major main even push for when he returns, possibly even getting one of the major titles almost immediately. It could happen any time now, WWE is just waiting for Jericho to totally say yes about returning. Do any of you have a very recent picture of Jericho? The last time I saw a picture of him he was much smaller, thinner, much like what happened to The Rock after he left WWE. The bad thing about RAW is that if Cena did get hurt, the only face they'd really have on RAW right now to take his place is Lashley, that is until HHH comes back. Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2007 It's pretty ironic that the number two face on RAW right now is Lashley, who is supposed to be the focal point of ECW. Yeah, if Cena gets injured, RAW is pretty much screwed. They'd probably panic and have Batista jump back over to feud with Orton or something.

Downhome 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2007 Thanks for the picture. Can you guys imagine the pop when he finally shows up again? I wish that they could somehow pull it off as a total surprise, even to the net fans.

Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2007 I always thought Bradshaw prefered doing commentary. What "major" title is Jericho supposed to be winning? How much do you want to bet he ends up with the Intercontinental belt yet again? Seriously, I have been against Jericho coming back because I have no interest seeing him be a glorified jobber again, but with all the injuries lately, this could be the perfect time for him. He just has to stand up for himself backstage and not be Triple H's bitch.

If he does come back, I wouldn't be some kind of a "World Title" clause in there, ala Goldberg's a few years ago if memory serves me right. Sure, I know you can bury a guy after dropping the title, but I would surprised if Jericho would put himself through that childish shit after all the time off. Maztinho 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2007 Shifting the topic away from Jericho a bit (I love me some Jericho though) who on the roster _right_now_ has the ability to step up and fill a spot like HHH and the Rock did back in the late 90's? I honestly think MVP could fill a solid upper-midcard spot for awhile. He's grown on me alot, solid basic style, decent promos. I think he could form into a great star. CM Punk the internet darling is gaining steam, I could see him being a fixture on RAW if needed. I could see Kenny Dykstra making a plausable leap up the card, I dunno, I just like him. There is always Kane to fill the Main Event void on either show as well. Alas Kane the Main Event Pauper.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2007 If they're still thinking of bringing over Regal (as was rumoured), he could definately fill a spot somewhere near the top of the card. He seems to be in the Kane mould where he can be doing nothing for months on end, but keep enough credibility for a push to still work. Wouldn't be a stretch for Corvon to be turned into Cena's next challenger. If they get Umaga out of the McMahon feud, he could be much more useful.

DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2007 I don't want to call this "alarming", but the fact that Johnny Nitro was paired with Miz in a tag team battle royal, is usually put in matches on Raw as enhancement talent, and didn't even have Melina bring him to the ring when teaming with Kenny Dykstra of all people really speaks volumes about how fast his star fell within the company, which is a shame.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2007 A KeNitro team would be fun, but I don't see it being a lasting pairing. Nitro's a guy who should get pushed, as he's got "the look" & is pretty competent in the ring. Cutting promos is probably his weakest point, but they let Orton cut promos, so I don't see why that should hold him back.

Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2007 I don't know how over Regal could really get at this point, especially as an upper midcard/main eventer on RAW. He's been so buried and misused over the last few years, I don't see the audience buying him as a credible threat to anyone. Really, a shame that they'll apparently be breaking up the Regal/Taylor tag team as well. I thought they were doing well on Smackdown.

I remember reading Melina had/has heat so they're punishing Nitro. Kenny Dykstra also has a bad attitude so he's working Heat.
