cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 I remember seeing Harry on that episode of Confidential after his dad died, they showed Bulldog's last match tagging with his son. I thought Harry was a tall kid, but that he had zero muscle. Then I see him down in OVW and he's quite a bit bulked up. I guess I know why now. As far as Masters goes, honestly who would give a shit what he had to say against WWE? All WWE would have to say in response is "Hey, we fired the guy after multiple steroid violations and now he's just bitter."

Enigma 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 I have no doubt that DH Smith is on some sort of gas. WWF Magazine had pictures of him when Davey Boy returned to the WWF in 1999. He was 14 at that time. In terms of body mass, he was insanely tiny.
CBright7831 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/5794072 Two suspended Written: November 2, 2007 Chris Mordetzky has been suspended for 60 days, and DH Smith has been suspended for 30 days for violations of WWE’s Substance Abuse and Drug Testing Policy. That was fast. As for Masters...oh well.
veseo 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 I like how they use Masters's real name, while with Harry Smith they go with DH Smith

In terms of body mass, he was insanely tiny. That's only you know 8 years.....even for the confidential thing I believe he was 16-17 then. As you mature your body changes and if he worked out hard in a 5-6 year time frame he could have added significant mass in that time.
Bix 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 I wonder if the only thing keeping Masters job is the fact he'd make a helluva witness against the wwe. Afterall he took the policy seriously and dropped a lot of mass and was ridiculed on camera for it, and no doubt behind the scenes as well to the point he thought it was in best career interest to juice up again. I want the big fish caught - HHH and Batista specifically, however they're probably paid well enough to be able to afford the undetectable stuff and or are high enough in the food chain to know when tests are coming. Baseball was recently exposed by the fact that players knew a day before that the tests were coming because the independant testers would have to call and arrange parking and security passes the day before, as well as a room where the testing could take place. I'm betting HHH is privy to such information and passes it on to his chosen ones. And we have a winner. That's why Masters still has a job. He's an unpushed lump with no appreciable ring talent. However, he was ridiculed on camera for getting off the roids and losing mass. If they fired him, they'd get their asses handed to them PR wise as soon as he gave an interview. Not a God damn thing would happen. The main stream press could give a shit at this point and they wouldn't be able to use the footage with out WWE's permission. There are exemptions for news coverage, hence things like Mero's personal copy of Benoit vs Badd being aired.
Failed Bridge 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 Tedy Hart said on HBO's real sports that he would seriously consider using "alternate means" to bulk up if that's what it took to reach the level of superstardom he wanted to. Seeing as how he and Smith there are apparently tag partners it wouldn't surprise me if both were doing it and this time around Smith just got caught. that episode also had a real good interview with Buff Bagwell of all people. AntiLeaf33 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 I love how WWE speaks out of both sides of their mouth. On one hand they don't want their performers to be on the juice (or at least get caught) and then on the other hand they want their guys to be as big as humanly possible. Forget about their physical well being, that kind of message from upper management would make you fucking crazy
Guest Floridian Cool Report post Posted November 3, 2007 “My mentality and the way I approach wrestling has changed since our last interview,” he said. “I have more confidence in myself in terms of wrestling capabilities; I’ve been hitting the gym more, working on my mat skills more and I’ve also gained the confidence to speak openly about my father in public, whereas before that was something I may have not been able to do. I feel as if it held me back in a way.”
mysterious_w 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 Harry was the first interesting developmental call up in months (Major Brothers? Cody Rhodes?), but I guess I won't be seeing him for a while.
Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 I don't know...with what they did to him this past Monday on RAW, it might be for the best. "Here, let's take this guy who is the son of a wrestling legend most of our fans are familiar with, who has a great build and decent wrestling skills, and make him as generic as possible. That'll surely get him over."
Enigma 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 I'm starting to think they genericized him because they knew he was going to be suspended.

Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2007 oops Well its not like smith was going to get over anytime soon, its not enough to be someones sons, you gotta have some kind of charisma and talent (he did throw a decent dropkick though) Masterpiece I think not
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2007 I figured Masters is never fired because Vince simply forgets to sign the necessary termination papers.
Boxer 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2007 So from Hart Foundation 2.0 to this. I wonder if Smith will ever get a push. Then there's Nattie and T.J. down there waiting for their turns.
tbondrage99 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2007 I'm sure Smith will still get his push. Getting suspended never seems to hurt anyone. Orton is the best example.
luke-o 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2007 And Masters, I mean he's not getting a push but at least he has a job. Ariel turned down Batista and got fired for it.
AntiLeaf33 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2007 Harry will still get his push. Just give him a slow build when he does come back and let the crowd warm up to him. I think the suspension will be a nice wake up call for the kid. We don't need another Smith dead before 40.
tbondrage99 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2007 I agree with the slow push thing for Smith, I also want him to move away from that "blue chipper" persona. That thing never works for anything unless they want him to be a heel afterwards.
boobshaw 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2007 Also, for the love of the uniform gods, he needs new tights. They are too distracting/ugly to me. The hybrid flags don't work.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2007 He had plain red ones last week. Of course, the half of the board who didn't mind the one with the flags decided to jump all over that so, what can you do?
Hoff 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2007 RED ON THE FRONT, TWO FLAGS ON THE BACK, TASSELS ON THE SIDES, BEST TIGHTS EVER!!!
tbondrage99 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2007 I just figured that they would modify the tights with the flags so that the entire front half is one flag and the entire back half is the other flag, with none of that blue.
Mecca 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2007 And Masters, I mean he's not getting a push but at least he has a job. Ariel turned down Batista and got fired for it. I heard some things about that where the major reason she got fired was she brought up things like sexual harassment lawsuits, and they dumped her quick then. Not sure how true that is though. Enigma 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2007 Some of you have the Ariel/Batista thing all wrong. This is what happened. During the Smackdown taping, Michelle McCool and Jillian Hall were having a match. Batista was backstage talking shit about how the match was a total waste of time when they could be using it to get him over some more. Ariel, being a very good friend of Jillian, didn't like this and got into Batista's face and basically told him he was a moron. Batista went to management about it and the next day, WWE.Com was wishing Ariel the best in all her future endeavors. According to those who would know, Ariel was not a favorite of Stephanie McMahon. She already had one strike against her before she even debuted because she was a Paul Heyman product and if Heyman is an open supporter of you, it usually doesn't end pretty since Stephanie hates Heyman to a degree no one can imagine. Strike two was that Stephanie didn't think she had the "WWE Diva look" and didn't understand why that look was supposed to make her sexy. So when Batista went and cried "bad attitude!" to management, it just gave them a reason to get rid of someone that they really didn't care to have in the first place, especially since Heyman was gone by that point. Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2007 The latest Observer says that 'several sources have corroborated' that Smith's last drugs test was on September 13th and it was that one that he failed, for steroids. Dave said the only conclusion anyone has been able to come to, including people internally, is that Smith got his initial push so WWE could show that they were willing to suspend a guy they had just started pushing. However, the decision to bring Smith up and push him came after they had received his test results.
