Hopefully the people that count take notice of this (I mean, I'm sure HHH has and is already pointing it out and finding the numbers for Jericho's segments). The only numbers I have at hand for Jericho are for his segment with Randy Orton on the 11/19 Raw, which gained 794,00 viewers. Interestingly, HHH vs. Umaga the week before, gained 89,000 viewers, which may be the weakest overrun gain of the year.

pochorenella 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2007 Bobby Lashley Vs. John Cena from The Great American Bash this year was a really good match. Anybody else agree? I'll agree with you. I was pleasantly surprised with that match, but although a really good match I feel it was no better that Cena's outings with Michaels and Umaga. The Backlash four way was also pretty awesome IMO. Cena's had a great year with matches, quality-wise.
Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2007 A couple of notes from WOL on Sunday. The Raw WM main event is currently going to be Batista vs. HHH, with, if that is the working idea, something done on Raw tonight to start the ball rolling. Batista is also probably going to be the heel, as they seem to be setting him up to lose the World title at the PPV, with the heel turning coming off of that. Also, the new contract for Raw on USA expires at around the same time as the TNA deal expires with Spike, and Dave speculated that it's possible Vince will try to play USA and Spike against each other to get a good deal and potentially replace TNA on Spike, which Spike might want because it would give them WWE and UFC, and make them the top cable name. This would leave TNA out in the cold, with it being unlikely that USA would want them and no other major network to go to.
Toxxic 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2007 I know very little about American TV, but would Spike want Raw back after they dicked around with 'USA' so much on the last Spike episode? And has Raw been getting good enough ratings that it's worth fighting for?

Obi Chris Kenobi 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2007 Oh man, I'm not sure if I'd laugh or cry if TNA lost their timeslot. In someways it would be the kick in the face they'd deserve for being so inconsitant with what they've had and asked for from Spike. In other ways it would be a shame to see them go and not have another outlet of weekly wrestling, even if it isn't THAT much different or even better. Yes, I'm a Goth. Enigma 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2007 To those of you who still believe Randy Savage was fired due to doing stuff with Stephanie McMahon, does this sound like a father who busted an employee for doing stuff with his underage daughter? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36n1Gc92CzI What's even more unreal about that is that Vince knew damn well Savage was going to WCW and still did that. I dont know if it was mentioned already but they got a 2 year extension on the USA contract with an agreement to do 2 more NBC specials per year (it says specials, not Saturday Night's Main Event..hmm)

Actually, the theory is that Vince was told about this (presumably by Steph) many years later. Not that i believe it, though, since I can't recall this idea being anything other than gossip. Where did it, all start by the way?
Enigma 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2007 The first time I ever heard of it was the DVD forums in the urban legend thread. But even then, WWE had an interview with Randy Savage in 2003 as a big marketing sell for the debut of Smackdown Magazine. I think the only reason you don't hear much out of Savage since WCW died is that he asks for way too much money and doesn't realize he's not a huge deal anymore. See his TNA run in 2004. Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2007 Also, because he comes off like a total lunatic and apparently has been very hard to deal with. I really doubt Savage did anything with Stephanie though. I've never heard anyone actually in the business actually even hint about that. It sounds like some DVDVR fanboy's wanking fantasy or something.

chuck415 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2007 The thing I find odd about the whole Savage deal is I never even hear about the WWE trying to make any contact with him. Judging by that video I can assume he left on exceptional terms, but has he even been contacted about a possible HOF induction? For the record, I don't buy into the whole Stephanie thing either. Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2007 The Jericho issue of wwe magazine never came to me in the mail, so I called wwe customer service, and she said it should have been here by last week, I thought they would send a replacement, but she just credited my account another issue. Enigma 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2007 Local ads for No Way Out confirm the previously stated plans of an Elimination Chamber match for a shot at a title at WrestleMania 24. This is how WWE will be doing things. 15 wrestlers from Raw and 15 wrestlers from Smackdown/ECW will be in the Rumble. Of course, whoever wins gets to face either the WWE Champ, World Champ, or ECW Champ in the main event of WM24. This is where it gets interesting. The last six guys that got eliminated will now be involved in an Elimination Chamber match at No Way Out. The winner of that match will be able to choose between the two champions that weren't selected by the Rumble winner. WWE is doing this so that No Way Out no longer feels like a lame duck show in between the Rumble and Mania. For example, let's say WWE started this in 2007. Of course, The Undertaker won the Rumble. If this second chance Chamber match had been on No Way Out, the Chamber match would have been Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Orton vs. Edge vs. MVP vs. The Great Khali vs. Chavo Guerrero. TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2007 That means that only ONE title match can be made before No Way Out. You'll have one programme officially start at No Way Out, and the other (ECW I guess) will start at best that night but most likely after.
AntiLeaf33 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2007 That's an interesting idea with the Chamber at No Way Out, but like it stated above, it really only gives them about 4 weeks or so to hype two more WrestleMania title matches (assuming that all 3 "major" Heavyweight titles will be on the line. On the plus side, this can all but assure that the Rumble winner Vs. Champion match at Mania will have more hype and SHOULD be in the main event slot...something that sadly, hasn't happened in a few years.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2007 I wouldn't worry about build...you have 3/4 weeks in between events to tease fueds between all 6 guys and the two champs that the Rumble winner isn't facing and then another 4/5 weeks to highlight the actual fued.
