World Wrestling Entertainment's Santino Marella was arrested at 2:57 AM this morning on charges of Driving Under the Influence after being stopped at 6301 Westshore Boulevard in Tampa, Florida. Marella is currently being held on $500 bond. I'm sure we'll have more on this later today.

 

So does WWE punish him for getting arrested or quietly ignore it and continue pushing him and Carlito?

Sadly, my immediate thought was at least he didn't use a racial slur. Since WWE seems to enjoy making fun of itself getting in trouble (such as Vince calling out Congress in a promo), maybe Santino can parody the Mel Gibson meltdown a few years too late. I think Santino butchering "sugartits" has potential. (Spiff, it breaks my heart that you hate Santino.)

He was under the legal limit but failed two roadside sobriety tests so something must be up here. He was 0.061 and the limit is 0.080. So either he is a drinking lightweight to be that drunk while under the legal limit or there was a drug interaction(prescription or illicit??) of some sort.

 

Or maybe he was at a Gay Bar and somebody slipped him some GHB...

Same here. When he was still trying to play a face, I couldn't stand him and wanted him off my TV as soon as possible. Then Umaga started spiking him every week, he became a heel, and BAM..I love the guy.

Legal limit is a myth, it's 0 tolerance. Roadside sobriety tests are subjective. If they wanted to bust him, they bust him.
