DrVenkman PhD Posted June 14, 2008 Author Report Posted June 14, 2008 I think it's time for some good clean fun.
haVoc Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 Looks like DH Smith will be Ted Dibiase Jr's tag partner at One Night Stand. When you go to WWE.com and look at the World Tag Team Title match preview and click on Ted Dibiase's name it brings you DH Smith's Bio.
Matt Young Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 Makes sense due to the rumor of a stable comprised of 2nd and 3rd generation guys. At least it gives Harry something to do. Did Davey Boy and Ted DiBiase ever even wrestle each other?
Thanks for the Fish Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 Dibiase Jr said it will be "the son of the Bulldog" either to a fan or in an interview as well - I wonder if because it has been leaked it will now be changed. Rhodes should turn on Holly during the match and give an epic 3-on-1 beatdown before pinning Holly. However then Holly has to be the frontman against the newly established heel faction, and I don't believe anybody cares enough about Holly.
Steviekick Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 Sounds interesting. Hopefully they won't blow it by having Holly go over them at some point.
Enigma Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 Reminds me of Brian Lawler, Erik Watts, and David Flair in TNA in 2002.
luke-o Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 Dibiase Jr said it will be "the son of the Bulldog" Could he have given a more obvious clue other than, "It's Harry Smith".
Zack Malibu Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 I had thought it was fairly obvious it was going to be Harry. Out of the other rumored members of the stable (Cody, Afa Jr., Carlito), he's the best bet as far as meshing with DiBiase Jr.
DrVenkman PhD Posted June 14, 2008 Author Report Posted June 14, 2008 They've been squashing Harry anytime he appears on Raw though, you'd think they give him some rebuilding before handing him a tag title, but then again these are titles you qualify for a shot at by debuting with the company and not wrestling now. I actually thought, with the other rumours about the stable and the dissension tease, it was going to be some deal where Cody was the partner and they wrestled Holly in a handicap match to win the belts.
bob_barron Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 Finding out that Michael Hayes was on double secret probation made me laugh

How would that work when Rhodes is already champ? The same way Steve Austin and Dude Love won the tag titles from Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels (but not quite). Basically it would mean Cody Rhodes gets a second tag title reign without ever losing his first. It's silly and shouldn't happen, but you never know.
Thanks for the Fish Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 I too thought Cody was going to be the mystery tag partner and like that idea better than DH Smith. I still want DH to team with TJ Wilson, preferable on SD!.
Enigma Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 I'd rather Designated Hitter Smith be the mystery partner and Cody to turn on Holly in the match rather than the above mentioned Russo crap.

DrVenkman PhD Posted June 15, 2008 Author Report Posted June 15, 2008 I know, but what I was saying was it would transition from one reign to another, essentially vacating the Holly/Rhodes team.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 And God forbid Mole us his eBay money to set TSM up with an account. Maybe the new regime can look into that... You want us to pay for your porn? I don't pay for MY porn.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 That should leave you plenty of money left over to pay for ours then.

BigPoppaKev Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 Do you think that maybe Ted Sr. could be a mouthpiece to this rumored new stable since none of the guys have really proven that they can talk. If they don't go that route I could see a massive beatdown by the younger generations on their father's to get some real heat. I know Dusty would still lace up the boots for a good ol' fashion ass kicking.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 I've read that Cody Rhodes was a good talker when in developmental. Maybe once he's out of the ridiculous Holly team they'll let that emerge.
DrVenkman PhD Posted June 15, 2008 Author Report Posted June 15, 2008 He was really good at the 2007 HOF as I recall.
King Cucaracha Posted June 16, 2008 Report Posted June 16, 2008 They've let him talk a few times in the last month or so. And DiBiase Jr.'s been getting nothing but good comments about his micwork so far. But man, if DH Smith is the mystery partner, the crowd is going to be dead through that entire match. The guy has done less than nothing since debuting. Why should anybody suddenly care just because he's teaming up with someone else with a famous dad all of a sudden?

Atticus Chaos Posted June 16, 2008 Report Posted June 16, 2008 WWE legal finally responds to some of Irv Muchnick's wackier allegations regarding Benoit's death. http://muchnick.net/babylon/2008/06/16/wwe...uchnicks-reply/
JPopStarKami Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 It's interesting to note that since the creation of the second WWE Title in September 2002, every Raw title pay-per-view match besides two has featured either Triple H, John Cena or Randy Orton. And in the two shows in which none of the three wrestlers were featured, Triple H was in the main event of both pay-per-views, which of course were pushed bigger than the title matches on those shows. Those two shows are Bad Blood 2004 (featuring Chris Benoit vs. Kane in a long forgotten match with Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels in a 47-minute Hell in the Cell bout as the main event) and Vengeance 2006 (featuring Rob Van Dam vs. Edge in an undercard match and the in-ring reunion of D-Generation X in the main event, who took on the entire Spirit Squad in a 5-on-2 Handicap Match). Wow. That's bad.
Mike wanna be Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 Man, they're in for a lot of deleted main events if anybody else needs to be edited out of the history books.
