BorneAgain Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 From PWInsider.com Dark Match: *Kofi Kingston defeated William Regal in a good match. ECW: *Kane defeated Boogeyman after a chokeslam. *Mark Henry defeated Santino Marella to quality for the Money in the Bank. *Natalya (with Tyson Kidd) defeated Alicia Fox (with DJ Gabriel). After the match, Tyson tried to attack Gabriel but was tossed over the top rope to the floor. *ECW champ Jack Swagger & WWE Tag Team champions John Morrison & The Miz defeated Christian & Tommy Dreamer & Finlay when Swagger pinned Christian. Really good six man.
Angles Broken Fricken Neck Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Ill be loving me some Morrison and Christian in that 6man.
Thanks for the Fish Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Bah, initially it was announced Finlay vs Christian one-on-one. I guess TPTB didn't think that ME had enough juice...
foleyfanforever88 Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 *Mark Henry defeated Santino Marella to quality for the Money in the Bank. Ugh.
Steviekick Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Maybe, but having Miz/Morrison/Swagger together as a stable of sorts on ECW with all the titles would be all kinds of awesome.
Boner Kawanger Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 A really good six man on ECW, what a concept. Can't wait.
Scroby Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 *Mark Henry defeated Santino Marella to quality for the Money in the Bank. Awesome FFA
foleyfanforever88 Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 There's no point in having a guy Henry's size in MITB. A big guy (see: Kane) is nice to have, but Henry is fat. He can't be great at climbing ladders.
Steviekick Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 I can only hope they have some cool spot with Henry throwing a ladder while someone is trying to climb it.
fazzle Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Henry's job will probably be to just lie there and take the "HOLY SHIT" spot.
Boner Kawanger Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Hopefully he busts though some rungs trying to climb up one
Slickster Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 All three qualified participants for MITB are former ECW Champions.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 All three qualified participants for MITB are former ECW Champions. Well it is a midcard match.
bob_barron Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Henry in the Bank? I like it. Explain. He's not very agile, and is going to stick out like a sore thumb. He's a terrible choice for a spotfest.
The Niggardly King Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Fuck that, when he hits the Worlds Strongest Slam on Punk off of a ladder... I'll be marking out like crazy.
Slickster Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 He doesn't need to climb the ladder at all. Use him for 'power' spots like pushing over/lifting ladders. Plus, he can be the World's Strongest Crash Pad and take all the lighter guys' highspots.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 So far there aren't any highspot guys in there...and with Rey not making it, Jericho doing his own thing, and the Hardy's doing each other... This is gonna be a messed up MITB.
RedJed Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 I dont get the point of having BOTH Kane and Henry in there.......one or the other, sure, but not both. Kind of baffled on that move, unless they are planning on having something crazy like ten guys in MITB this year. On a positive note, at least Kane, nor Henry, will be thrown into an ECW title match at Mania with Swagger and it's looking more and more like they will just do another match with Swagger/Christian for the belt at the ppv.
MillenniumMan831 Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 I wouldn't be surprised to see Henry take the gigantic ladder straight up and just swing it at the briefcase in an attempt to dislodge it w/o actually having to climb.
foleyfanforever88 Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 I'm pretty sure Rey will find his way into MITB, probably by winning a last chance battle royal.
Spaceman Spiff Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 I dont get the point of having BOTH Kane and Henry in there.......one or the other, sure, but not both. Kind of baffled on that move, unless they are planning on having something crazy like ten guys in MITB this year. I'm pretty sure they said 8 people will be in MITB.
Boner Kawanger Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Plus, Tony Atlas will be at ringside with a sleeveless dress shirt to get a PAY DAY BRUTHA.
haws bah gawd Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 If the guy is ready to go in time, Evan Bourne almost has to be in the match. I wouldn't mind seeing Shelton find his way into the match, just for his obligatory "run up the ladder" spot that he always finds a way to work in. Though now, it seems like we may be seeing Shelton vs MVP for the US belt. I just looked it up on Wiki, and Christ, Shelton has held that title for a long time. Still a little more than 100 days short of MVP's sick reign from 07-08 but still impressive. Shelton - 226+ days MVP - 343 days!
TheFranchise Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Benjamin has had, in my opinion, a terrible reign. What has he even done while champion?
haws bah gawd Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Nothing worth noting. He's just held the title forever.
fazzle Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Benjamin hasn't even won a single match this year. I wonder if he's even got 10 total wins since getting the belt. Edit: but he still NEEDS to be in MITB.
