I think I might've bought a lottery ticket once or twice, that's about it. Never been to a casino, never saw the point. You can play cards at home for free; why drive someplace to almost certainly lose money playing cards? I've heard people talk about the thrill of risking it all, but it's not my kind of thing.

Oh wait, I did buy a scratch-off lottery thing as a token of my of-agedness last time I did laundry for a dollar. I didn't win. I'll probably make that a little thing that I do whenever I do laundry, seeing as I can just buy it with the Slurpee I get.

Not really a gambler. I've gone to the casino a few times with people, but not even with the intent to win; I'll drop $20 in a slot, play it for a bit, then get my change and use it to wander around playing machines at random. When I lose it all, whatever, it was only $20, I'll leave. Don't go anymore, really. I think I did manage to come out ahead once or twice though. Won't touch the card games there.

I'll play poker with friends once in a blue moon, but I'm awful at it. Still like playing, but I know I'm gonna lose.

I don't bet on this or that but I drop money into slot machines and they very odd round of roulette. Sometimes I win, often I don't. I left a boat casino in Hammond, Indiana with $200 (off of playing $40) in March of 2008 and that's the last significant non-break even win I had.

To answer my own question, I've got into online poker recently. And make the ocassional bet. Put betting wise, I've only ever used free bets I've been offered or gone as high as 10p for actual bets. And I'm equally as cautious about putting money on the poker because I'm still a bit of a novice. I did win 9p today though so that was good.

So, yes, but only pussy bets.

And as LOTC brought up, gambles in life, no. I'm a very play it safe person, far too much so.

I do some online gambling, and I've enjoyed going to a couple nearby casinos, but going out to gamble was mostly due to my ex who was a severe gambling problem and obligated me to take her. Funny enough, I would usually be the one who'd end up winning because I'd be much more relaxed and having fun and she was always really weird playing live.

I turned 21, had the itch to gamble, went to visit my cousin in Vegas, dropped a quarter in a slot, pulled the lever, lost the quarter, the itch was scratched so we went to an arcade and blew 20 bucks there instead.

No. Whenever money's involved (betting on fights, card games) I usually turn an early profit before giving everything back and then some.

This. I have a nasty habit of winning, then slowly giving it all back over time, or moving up to bigger tournaments or cash games after a decent sized cash,

I owe Agent $50 still from like, five years ago. That was the last time I gambled. So far as taking chances/risks in general, I'm 50-50 in that I don't do a lot of conventional crap like stunting on motorcycles or base jumping or whatever.

I won $50 on a $1 scratch-off ticket last year. Like all of the dumbass customers I mocked so ruthlessly during my brief tenure at the Golden Pantry convenience store, I immediately blew it all on losing lottery tickets. I felt like a total idiot. I could have spent that on beer!

My one foray into sports gambling was no more successful. I put a few small wagers on some NFL playoff games a couple of years ago. I consider myself to be fairly knowledgeable when it comes to pro football, but I was way the fuck off on every single one of these games. I once again felt like an idiot.

So, no, I don't gamble often.

Are you a gambling man? If so, are you a good gambling man?

I am not a man but I play Texas hold em poker. Not in a Casino though. In a club every week. I win some and I lose some.
