  1. You know, I'm a good little Republican, but even I can't fucking stand Rumsfeld. Bush is loyal, and loyalty is a virtue, but I feel his loyalty towards Rumsfeld has kept the guy in the Defense department long, long after he should have gotten the boot.
  2. Well, when the subject of the thread is a radical feminist, it's not inconceivable that eventually we'd wind up talking about bush.
  3. The horror.......the horror.
  4. Whoa! Let's not go too far out on a limb here.
  5. You're horrible. You do realise that the hatred for the Undertaker is just not blind hate but people have good reasons for not liking the guy and hoping he retires? Absolutely. Like HHH, Taker has reached the point where he will never be more over than he is now. But, unlike HHH, Taker doesn't have youth on his side (and to an extent, neither does HHH, but Taker's got to be older than Trips by at least five years or so), and now we find out he's got a bum hip which is so bad it needs to be replaced. It all goes back to what I've been saying for a loooooong time: Taker's ONLY good for putting people over at this point. That's ALL he's good for. But they won't do it. And the Taker apologists will say something like, "He'll do it one day..." Yeah, well, when? Now that he's only got one good hip?
  6. Absolutely retire. As soon as you start talking about having your joints replaced with artificial parts, your days of bumping around the ring are finished. If he continues afterwards, he'd only look as ridiculous in the ring as the others who've had this type of surgery (Piper, Hogan).
  7. As fond of her as I am, I still think she's only still around until they can get a Playboy pictorial out of her. Then she'll get kicked to the curb as well.
  8. I won't even try and predict, because looking at WM XX, there was no way in hell I would have ever thought that co-main-event to this year's Mania would have been John Cena vs. BRADSHAW for the WWE Title.
  9. Plus they occasionally have Jim Norton. Which makes them better than anything Stern could ever do.
  10. That was when that thread officially became the greatest thing ever on the internet.

You've now given me no reason to post in this thread, then.
  12. Very true. A lot of people had a good buzz about that show before it aired, because many figured it'd be much like his old "Channel 9" show - which actually aired, briefly I believe, in syndication in D.C. way back when. The Channel 9 show was great, and showcased how funny Howard could be. But then this show debuted and it was just an hour-long version of his E! show, which was not only a disappointment but showed how lazy he'd gotten.
  13. "The Lone Samurai: The Life of Miyamoto Musashi" by William Scott Wilson. I'm considering starting "Sahara" by Clive Cussler, cause I enjoyed the movie. Never read Cussler before, are the Dirk Pitt novels any good?
  14. Agreed. For me, it's not so much that I want to see HHH hurt, seriously or otherwise. It's just that I'm just tired of him on my TV screen. I'm tired of everything revolving around him. I'm tired of even the relatively minor, but cumulatively damaging, lack of common sense / continuity shit like where it was fine for him to wrestle (and beat) two guys on RAW but Michaels has to bring washed up old Hogan into the mix in order to fight a rookie and his manager. HHH, more than ANYONE else in the entire INDUSTRY, kills my love of the wrestling business. I don't want to see him injured, but if others feel the same way about him, then they might just be desparate enough for him to ge off their TV that they do.
  15. After recently reading 100 pages of the classic DVD thread detailing all of the scuzziest rumors about the wrestling business, I have to say, Lance Storm gets my complete respect for giving his students a warning about the shit that's gonna happen to them at the hands of the "veterans" if / when they get called up to the main roster.
  16. But that's my favorite black stereotype. Especially because I see it happen so many times during the course of my week. One of my other favorite stereotype is, "All black people are Democrats, and those that aren't are uncle toms."
  17. Or how about when they want to "axe" you a question?
  18. My mom has type 2 diabetes. We should form a support group or something. We could get together and talk about the struggles of living with the disease. Just don't expect me to cook you any of those fucking special diabetic-friendly meals or inject you in the ass or anything. Nah, I'm the type who just has to watch my sugar/carb intake. Fuck that low carb shit. Just smaller portions. Also, Diet Sundrop is really good. Your mom gets ass injections? I hope you don't have to do it. Oddly enough, my dad was diagnosed for the first time today. Naw, she's got type 2 diabetes, which is what I'm assuming you have as well if you don't have to take insulin injections. That's type 1, if I'm not mistaken. Like with you, she just has to watch what she eats and take some medication to ensure her blood sugar remains stable. I'm a bit concerned that I'll develop it later in life myself, but in the last year or so I radically changed my diet & lifestyle, so I'm hoping that's enough save me, at least for a few decades.
  19. This is true. And kkk is right. Stern's show has become pretty much unlistenable since he began the Bush-bashing, because the only time he was ever amusing anymore was when he talking about current events / the news, and once the Bush stuff began, that got dominated by nothing but Howard's typical pity party. YES. And this is made all the worse if you ever hear any of his old "Best of Stern" shows when he takes one of his many, many, many vacations during the year. They'll play some segment from his show from the early 90s, where's he goofing on, for example, Don Imus. And if you listen closely to all of the insults he throws at Imus, you realize that everything he supposedly railed against Imus and other DJs for being, he has now become himself. He has become the thing he supposedly hated. Huh? I'm assuming you mean Karen Carpenter, who was anorexic (or bulimic, I forget which), and died because of it. Mary Chapin Carpenter is a country music singer and isn't very thin at all. See? She's not gigantic, but I think she probably could point you to a decent rib joint or two.

    MLB Thread

Shit, why couldn't I have read that post earlier? I checked the score on the internet a couple times, but I didn't even bother to check for it on TV, because I just assumed they wouldn't show it. Orioles have Sosa now. They are apparently now worth the time of day with him. Orioles have a pretty decent team this year. I'm a bit surprised ESPN is doing a D-Rays / Os game, because that network is so about the Boston love it's sickening.
  21. Rosie released. Rosie has been released. World Wrestling Entertainment wishes him the best in his future endeavors. credit: WWE.com, in a day or two I'm sure.
  22. My mom has type 2 diabetes. We should form a support group or something. We could get together and talk about the struggles of living with the disease. Just don't expect me to cook you any of those fucking special diabetic-friendly meals or inject you in the ass or anything.
  23. Or learn to speak English, as a failure to do so pretty well guarantees you an uncomfortable life. -=Mike Give it a few years and not speaking spanish will do you the same. Evolution! Ain't it a bitch???? Never going to happen. The country is overwhelmingly English and that isn't going to change. You're right, it's not. For now. But in about 45 years, when the country is at least 50 percent Hispanic, things are likely going to change. BTW, I like how Cheela has his panties in a twist because the MMP are "breaking the law" (when they aren't) and completely ignoring the illegal aliens (who are, ironically enough, the ones actually violating the law).
  24. Jesus. So, anyone - including, shall we say, illegal immigrants - can come in and vote so long as they say, "Hey, I'm a citizen. Trust me." Yeah, good luck getting THAT one passed.
  25. This is news? Howard ceased being relevant a good 10 years ago. BTW, for those who don't know, foundry music is associated (or was at one time) with Opie & Anthony. Who are everything Howard wishes he still was (that being, 1) relevant and 2) entertaining).
