No one is saying to disregard his behavior. But we're presented with these two choices: 1.) Have Taker win at Mania as punishment for Randy. 2.) Put Orton over Taker at Mania to hopefully make him a star. Punish Orton in other ways and / or delay his punishment until after Mania. Which is better for the WWE in the long run? Option #2. Frankly, given the state that the WWE is in these days, it's time to stop this nonsense of protecting old farts, like Taker. That was a lesson that WCW didn't learn until it was far too late for them to do anything about it. Doesn't mean we have to like that the guy who'd reap the benefits is an ass like Orton, but SOMEONE needs to be pushed, and if Orton is the only one in legitimate position, then by God, let it be him.

Angelina Jolie? ...that'd be scary...her being both Croft AND Samus... She was one of the ones to come to mind, actually. Not that I even dislike her as an actress, but someone like her would just be all wrong. The problem is that I don't even know who'd be right. I've been playing through that game recently, and you're right. It'd probably go over well too. Since 24 is such a successful show, I'm surprised that more studios / production companies aren't trying to greenlight more espionage themed properties. In the same vein, I also agree that Splinter Cell would probably do well.

Tanahashi. Just overall better than Nakamura. And lots more potential there for the future.

Not to mention Taker's hand was "broken" and Taker made him look weak a month earlier by completely dominating him in their first match. And pinned Brock in a HANDICAP match with the Big Show with Paul Heyman cheating on his behalf. Taker did more harm for Brock. I can't believe people still believe that Taker REALLY put over Brock. He may have lost to him, but Taker did Brock no favors. And that was in 2002 - even back THEN, the only thing Taker was good for (much like today) was putting new people over. Jesus, you know it's a sad state of affairs when Hulk fucking Hogan did a cleaner job to put Brock over than Taker. I hope Orton does win at Mania. Frankly, I can't stand the little prick, but honestly, the WWE has to build up new stars. Enough of this mentality that "Taker should only put someone over if it's the right guy." Fuck that - all Taker has left to offer is jobbing to the younger guys to get them over. If they WWE is committed to making Orton the next star, then just have him win the goddamn match.

I find EVERYONE on Futurama to be incredibly annoying. Seriously, that's an awful show. I'd even take present day Simpsons over Futurama, 10 times out of 10. Here's another one that just came to mind: the complete cast of "7th Heaven". My mom watches this show, and I totally despise it. It's the biggest pile of saccahrine crap on TV today. The characters are awful, the plots are awful, it's just AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. And worse yet, every week they seem to add a character or three. Most of them annoying children.

It's too cutesy. Make it anime or computer animated and maybe we'll talk. I think Metroid has the potential to be huge (it could birth a franchise), but I lack any faith that Hollywood would do it right. Knowing Hollywood, whatever studio that'd wind up making the film would hire Uwe Boll to direct and they'd cast some famous actress who'd be totally awful for the role but had name value.

I marked out a lot for that show in general, but my favorite SJ mark-out moment was from the 90 minute pilot. Jack plows through about a hundred robotic scarabs. The final surviving bugs eye Jack in fear, and slowly begin to back away from Jack. Then Jack just stares at them and utters the coolest line of the entire series. "No - there is no escape." And the ass-kicking resumes.

lol -- I was thinking the same thing. I'm guessing Becky #1. Absolutely, because Becky #2 (the chick on Scrubs) is doable. Whereas I wouldn't even fuck Becky #1 with raz's dick. I would have to agree, but only because I hate hippies. For me, I personally loathe Vincent Donofrio's character on "Law & Order: Criminal Intent". I hate the character so much that I can't even watch that show because of him, and I am a HUGE L&O mark.

I have to join the Bentley Little consensus as well. Even though some of his later books might not be as great as his earlier work, he's still one of the best writers of modern horror fiction. I'd also recommend Douglas Clegg; another good, solid writer of contemporary horror. Very good book. If you like it, I'd also recommend picking up the "Legends II" anthology (edited by Robert Silverberg) as it contains the novella "The Monarch of the Glen", which is something of sequel to Gods.

Okay, I'll capitulate and concede your point. But let's not act is if this is a one way street. 9 times out of 10 when Haliburton is brought up in this folder, it's done SPECIFICALLY to make the Dick Cheney connection. And given that NoCal Mike was the one who posted this, I wasn't buying that this was the one exception out of 10.

He's not in SUCH a bad position. Regardless of the fact that RAW isn't pulling in the audience that it used to, it's still the top-rated cable program running today. If it isn't, it's surely in the top five. USA doesn't really have anything that competes with that. Their highest rated program, I believe, is Monk, and RAW (even in its current state) pulls in about double the ratings for that show. They'd LOVE for RAW to return to them.
