  1. I don't even think Cena is garbage, or horrible. I just think he is average. My main problem with his matches though, or that he is being booked to "overcome the odds" which to me, only works when you have a worker with a dynamic offense. John Cena's "comebacks" reek of Hulk Hogan 1987, when he basically just hulks up after taking a beating, hits three punches, the boot, the legdrop. There is nothing dynamic or entertaining about that. In his match with HBK, they should have had the guys in reverse roles, with HBK being the one to mount the comeback, because he has a dynamic offense. Cena still could have won, but pulling off something out of his ass like a small package or some type of reversal, however, HBK should have been the one to be booked to "make a comeback"
  2. If I were you, I'd buy some of the fictional simpsons brand items and just keep them locked up somewhere. You never know what someone might pay for them one day.
  3. EDIT: nevermind
  4. It's amazing that stories like this exist, yet tune into Fox News and I bet they are broadcasting stories about the "War on Christmas" Not that the other cable news channels should get off lightly....
  5. I am sure Scooter Libby knew he was being pardoned well ahead of time. It was probably a back room deal between him and Cheney. Basically, if Scooter takes the fall, but doesn't give up any further names/information, then Bush will be there to pardon him when the time comes.
  6. Well there was a japanese monster movie called The Host, so maybe this is an american remake....!?!
  7. Just got back. WOW. Just.....WOW. It is nice to see modern day CGI and special effects put to good use. The transformations were fantastic. No real complaints from me. If I had one gripe it would be EDIT: oh by the way...did anyone else get a trailer before the movie that starts off with a group of people having a party for their friend that is going away....and then suddenly an explosion, then light, then things start exploding all over the place....with the "money shot" being the head of the statue of liberty landing in the middle of the street.....What is the name of that movie?
  8. I am seeing this flick after work tomorrow. My best friend saw it tonight and said it was great. From the reviews I have read thus far, it is seemingly everything a big budget summer blockbuster popcorn flick should be.
  9. So FINALLY the uncut, re-edit of the movie as one piece. And I also noticed....it's rated NC-17. Here are the few details listed so far..... http://www.amazon.com/Kill-Bill-Whole-Bloo...5370&sr=8-2
  10. As much of a tragedy this is.....as long as Vince wants his wrestlers roided up to get ahead in the company, this will never stop. And we can talk in circles about the "wellness policy" all we want, but lately it sounds more and more like an excuse for the workers to stop taking Roids for a short while in order to pass a test......the bottomline is regardless of what Vince tells the public or someone on cable news, he wants his workers to be big muscle-bound freaks. In order for this to happen to his liking, they have to take illegal drugs. If SOME workers are willing to do it, then it puts pressures on the other ones to do it in order to compete. I am sure this will take it's toll, hell we might even have a year or two or workers getting off roids temporarily to make all this attention go away, but like it has before and again, Vince's demands will return soon enough.
  11. Damn, hard to believe this is only a week away....I will be in the upperdeck, but only about four rows back, still I am gonna borrow some binoculars for the show....Arco Arena isn't that huge so no seat in the house is "bad" Thank gawd next week at work will be a short work week with the 4th of July coming right in the middle of the work week.
  12. I am in there right now, while I am drinking down a Mickeys tall can and listening to some Parliment Funkadelic..........someone come talk to me
  13. I'd say Fudruckers has the bext straight-up burger, but then again, they aren't really "fast food" per se and you basically just order the size of the meat pattie you want, what cheese you want, and then the rest is up to you at the condiment station.
  14. Well first of all......what job is this? I mean are you a truck driver or some sort of law enforcement employee? For a place of employment to do a hair test, that covers beyond a few years, it better pay fucking great. Is this place a possible career starter, or is it just another job? Unless this place was an IDEAL place of employment, I would say fuck them and fuck their hair test.
  15. Looks awesome.....can't wait.
  16. Anyone know why the even gave the belt to Nitro instead of CM Punk? I know we have had a lot to digest over the past couple of days, but once Benoit had to leave the PPV, why did Vince not give CM Punk the belt? Is CM Punk gonna be another RVD-type figure on the roster, where no matter how much the fans want to see him get to the next level, he will always be the guy that is used to put others over rather then getting the big wins himself(granted, CM Punk is not even a fraction as over as RVD was at his peak, but still, CM Punk is carving himself out a ME spot on the ECW show, and then comes along Nitro and just wins the belt!?!)???
  17. Jack n' The Box's Ultimate Cheeseburger > Wendy's Baconator
  18. As sick as the death of Chris Benoit makes us, I think it will be on an entire other level if we do indeed find out this is some type of murder suicide, as it will force everyone to seperate Chris Benoit the wrestler/performer and Chris Benoit the person, and if professional sports has taught us anything, most people will have a hard time with that. EDIT: Well I posted this comment a few minutes too late as it looks like at least WWE.com is confirming that is was a double-murder-suicide.
  19. I still wonder why some Christians are anti-Harry Potter but have no problem with the wizardry in Lord of the Rings.........I know it's not a MAJORITY of christians, but there is a pair of grandparents in my in-law's family(well by in-law I mean, My girlfriend's cousins wife's family) that won't let the kids watch Harry Potter because of "magic and wizards" so since it hits close enough to home I figured I'd bring it up and ask....I often wonder if people are doing that because of their own convictions or if they are just following the words/actions of some guy who told them Harry Potter is evil....!?!
  20. I think everyone agrees that the system is broken, but no one seems to be able to come up with a solution to fix it. In the film, Moore profiles Canada, France, and England all three of which have a similar "Health Care Tax" program like you have mentioned. There are two fundamental differences between our countries and these however. 1. There are twice as many people in this country as there are in France, England, and Canada combined, 60 million in England and France, and 30 million in Canada. Compare that to 300 million in the United States, and you can see that such a program would have to be done on a much larger scale, and would be much more difficult, if not impossible, to manage. and 2. The United States also seems to have a unique problem in that we have a fairly large percentage of the population who for a variety of different reasons don't pay any taxes at all. White collar criminals who cheat the system and get away with it, welfare leeches with seven kids who don't work, the homeless, the elderly, illegal aliens, etc., So should the (and this is just me pulling numbers out of my ass) 75% of the people who pay taxes in this country really have to take on the burden of the other 25% who don't? Certainly the elderly and the invalid should have some kind of guarantee for health care, but why the hell should I have to pay for people who don't belong in this country to get their Prozac, or some white trash family already stealing my money to get a free babysitter so they can go down to the store to buy cigarettes and lottery tickets with their Food Stamps. I don't disagree with number one or two, but i will say that this government doesn't seem very pressed for money when it comes to funding the Iraq war. I mean they seem to be "finding money" to keep continuing the war. While at the same time giving tax cuts to the top 2%. But, yeah your points are valid.
  21. Whatever happened to Spot?
  22. My wedding ceremony is going to be very modest. Twenty minutes.....it's the goddamn reception that is costing the money. At least my parents are chipping in.
  23. Umm, since when do people in America not wait in line and for obscene amounts of time at the emergency room? To me the essential question is what costs more, a Health Tax or Health Insurance Premium. Because that is the major difference if you want to break down the issue to "what comes out of my pocket" Another difference is, at least with a health tax, you are guaranteed, as opposed to a Health Insurance premium, that you might pay, loyally, over the cours of 20 years, and then still not be covered because the insurance company decides it costs too much. Honestly, I don't mind paying something for healthcare, but I think the entire idea behind "insurance" is a scam for the most part, because it is something you hardly ever need to use, but when that time finally comes, you are at the mercy of whether or not the company wants to cover you.
  24. Hooters shows it for free....but people get there early, and stay put for the entire show, so you have to plan on getting there before the PPV goes on air.......I'd call around though, I am sure more and more sportsbars are picking up UFC as it gets more popular.
