"Muhammad Hassan being killed at the pay-per-view" = oh man, Magnus is going to take a fucking beating on Sunday. Please don't give an example that doesn't exist - he wasn't in a position to draw. Until said time where he is given top billing at a pay-per-view, we can only make assumptions as to what kind of a draw he is.

That is the most deluded forum in the history of the internet. For fun, I glanced through a few threads and was amazed at these long posts that defended Warrior at every step. A new poster questioned why Warrior never had a clean pinfall loss in his entire WWF and WCW career (Warrior=Overrated). The response? This goes on for a while, too.

Wait, they used to draw the names AT the pay-per-view? I only have seen one Battlebowl (1996), which had tag matches that were built for weeks. Although, I guess that gives away the fact that they WERE rigged.

------- If it's Crow Sting, then it's footage of Sting retaining the WCW European Cup over Kevin Nash at the 'WCW Millennium Final' German PPV in November of 2000. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was Crow Sting. Thanks, Slick.

I swear, if George Costanza existed in the real world, he'd would been placed into a public position so that he could simply bitch about the complete ridiculousness of such rulings. I can only imagine Brent Bozell going into a tirade about the game - 'We need to protect these virginal seventeen year-olds from the evils of this world - no, not the graphic depictions of real-time war on primetime network television...no, not 'Desperate Housewives' either, our family enjoys that show...no, I'm talking about animated sexual intercouse between two polygons.'

At least it's not his throwing arm.

I just don't see Donyell Marshall as the big, brusing defender the Cavaliers needed to provide support to Gooden and Ilgauskas. He brings a good veteran presence to the team, but they could've easily traded Gooden to get that solid defender, whether it was an expiring contract (Knicks and JYD) or a sign-and-trade (Bulls with Chandler, Bucks with Pachulia, Heat with Haslem, Hawks with Harrington, Kings and Skinner or Kenny Thomas, Sonics with Evans), although I don't know if the Cavs had the pieces to make those moves. All of the other moves are great for the team - the Cavaliers should be able to score 100+ points a night standing on their head.

Posters I don't see around here anymore: (but will probably change around football season) Ravens (Tom) Cowboys (BX) Buccaneers (starvenger) Panthers (fazzle) Falcons (Flik) Saints (Flyboy, but he'll join when the time comes) Bengals (Swift Terror; hey kkk, is he here?) Jaguars (APO) Eagles (MD2020) Rams (cerebrus316) The others will be accounted for by the weekend - the list above will be the ones we'll wait on.

Moral of this story: Terrell Owens is a bitch.

Yeah, people with charisma - we definitely need less of those bums in the WWE. BRING BACK CHARLIE HAAS!

The first mention of this being confirmed will be by Silvervision, which should be in early August or September. What are your thoughts on Warrior/Savage from Summerslam '92? -------- As for the DVD, I'd purchase solely for Warrior/Savage from Wrestlemania VII. If that's not on there, I'm going to need Warrior/HTM(SS '88), Warrior/Rude (SS '89) and Warrior/Savage (SS '92) to justify that.

I guess this means that I can't hate on him anymore. Fuck that, he probably pushed the kid into the pool in the first place.

Last we heard from Chad Ford, the Lakers don't want to give him more than a two-year deal (says they're saving up for the big push at Yao), whlie Portland is trying to woo him due to his great relationship with McMillan and the idea that he'll be a mentor to Telfair. With that said, I'm guessing we won't hear anything new until the signing period starts, so the Blazers and Lakers can see how the market is moving.
-
He played with the Grizzlies and Hawks for a combined eight of his nine seasons - I think that's reason enough to be optimistic of what he could do with a team with a WINNING mentality.
-
Yeah, that was the last appearance of Nash, in-ring or otherwise. -------- Here's a question I've been meaning to ask: there was this Sting tribute video that's been circulating around the IWC since WCW folded. In one of the scenes, Crow Sting is shown celebrating in the ring with a huge trophy in his hands, complete with the whole she-bang - confetti, fans cheering, pyro. I have no idea what this is, unless it's a foreign pay-per-view that the WCW did in the late 90's. I'm not too much of a WCW expert, but I have no conceivable timeline that fits in with this. Where is this footage from?

I find it pretty funny that Hogan can be considered for both categories (heel simply based on that first night at BaTB).

The proposed card shows how a depleted tag team roster affects the rest of the card - each brand has about six feuds that works well on its own brand show, but a co-brand pay-per-view? Quick thoughts: 1. Hey, Benoit/JBL will be a great match. That said, unless they book Benoit to add prestiege to the title to make JBL jealous of said reign, I don't see how their feud would work in the scheme of the show. 2. You know, had JBL/Taker not been done to death last fall, it would've been great to see JBL/Taker and Benoit/Christian for the title on this card; it's really pointless to have such a match of closure to continue a feud like Taker/Orton. 3. It's already been said, but Snitsky and Kane are needlessly tacked on to a match that shouldn't be more than a fucking brawl. Now, with the two added on, you add restraints to Edge/Hardy with a formulaic tag-team match, which just punishes the rest of the card. Before, Edge/Hardy could've been the match that opened the card, then lasted throughout the whole night as a backstage brawl. Now, you have potentially great matches (Rey/Eddie, JBL/Benoit, Orton/Taker) fighting for time because you've devoted twelve minutes to Kane and FUCKING SNITSKY. 5. MNM and the Superheroes should at LEAST be fighting each other for bragging rights of the company. Even if it ends with a schmozz finish, you have a great buzz coming from the match. 6. If not the match, then have CCC drop the title to Shelton (leading to Angle/Shelton), then have Carlito do a Cabana segment at Summerslam that leads to a confrontation between MNM and the Superheroes. Focusing on Carlito's mic work and charisma, his obvious strengths, will have fans clamoring for that segment over Carlito/Shelton and TBS/Angle.

I'm trying to forget last season. I completely blew in the last few weeks, including the bowl game. Not only did I post the lowest score of any bowl team, but I dropped from #3 to #6 over the final three weeks. Here's hoping I remember to limit my underdog picks from week to week.

Reclaiming the Lions.

She joined the nWo so that they wouldn't attack Randy anymore. Savage, like a total idiot, would attack them for weeks on end and just get murdered by the entire stable. This even carried on to the pay-per-views (Fall Brawl 1996, after the Wargames match). Liz joined shortly afterward, essentially the same time as the Nasty Boys "joined", after a series of LONG 'nWo propaganda' vignettes over the course of a Nitro episode, where it was basically taped footage of the nWo celebrating in a nearby hotel room by the arena.

RAW preview from Meltzer's site - not much, but I'll use the spoiler text anyway to avoid any complaints... Raw on Monday in Philadelphia has and a dark match main event. Smackdown is Tuesday in Baltimore.

I really don't care if it fails, but...Super Baseball 2020 (yes, I mentioned it in another thread). The concept of the game was ahead of its time.
-
Oh god. I had Super Baseball 2020 for the Genesis, which I played the FUCK out of when I was growing up. Seriously, for a good year, I could not put the game down. After school, I raced home to play, usually as the 'American Dragons'. I refused to have more than one robot on my team at a time (unless they were purchased during the game, which made it okay). I remember, by the end of any given game, a friend and I would have a complete line-up of fully-upgraded humans and bots, so the scores would inevitably end up in the 30's. Everything about the game was absolutely ridiculous, from the jumping pads, to the fact that homers hit anywhere but center field resulted in a live ball played off of the domed seats, to the upgraded stats for the 'seventh inning stretch', made this game a underrated classic that was ahead of its time. Fuck, I need to find that shit on eBay and relive my childhood again.

Not in its entirety, no. There's a clipped version on the Canada-only release "WWF: Best of 2001" DVD.

HAHAHA....that's awesome. On that note, there also have been REALLLLY long "WHOOOOOO" signs over the past two years or so. The RAW three weeks ago with Angle/Flair had one that stretched across a good forty seats or so.
