Guest Frank_Nabbit Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 What odd items do you collect? Me: I collect other people's name tags. I so far have on teacher's Picture ID from a school 150 miles from here (Found it on the floor at Wal-mart) I also have a Menard's Employee Picture ID that I found in my college's parking lot. Lastly I have another random guy's student ID that I swiped off a counter at the school's recreation room. Small but odd I suppose... *Awaits IDRM "jars of semen" collection*
MarvinisaLunatic Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 spoons actually, its not that wierd since they sell them in the gift shops of touristy places.
B. Brian Brunzell Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 <also collects hats I'm building my cd collection as well. I have almost 500 right now.
Guest Boo_Bradley Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Sorry guys but CDs and Hats aren't weird IMO... unless they are novelty items I collect Mr. T books, movies, magizines, figures etc.... I'd find that to be a bit odd...
Guest Boo_Bradley Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Runaways and dead hookers. OMG HENRY LEE LUCAS!!!
Guest Italian Stallion Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 movie posters. Its not that weird but its not everyone that has 123 movie posters and other weird movie theatre type stuff. EDIT: I guess I will also add how I got started. I won a drawing and won a copy of Terminator, Terminator 2, and Terminator 3 before even the movie theatres got them. So I thought it was kinda cool. Since then, I have collected quite a few.
Ripper Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Swords and throwing knives. My home is artistic...AND A WEAPON~!
Papacita Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 I kinda got out of the habit recently, but I do collect Chyna-related stuff. I'd imagine that's weird enough.
The Dames Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 I keep my movie ticket stubs. I have almost all of my stubs from '97 on. Dames
Garth Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 My hats are out of the usual their not just baseball caps or whatever. I have a fur russian hat with the scythe and hammer badge on it, a WWI Russian hat which is basically a bit pointy hat with a red star on the front, i have a pink cowboy hat, etc those kind of hats.
Guest Italian Stallion Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 I keep my movie ticket stubs. I have almost all of my stubs from '97 on. Dames I keep those too. I had them back from 99 but lost all of them up until late 2001. Sucks.
Mole Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 I keep my movie ticket stubs. I have almost all of my stubs from '97 on. Dames I keep those too. I had them back from 99 but lost all of them up until late 2001. Sucks. Me too actually. I lost the stub for the last movie I went to, Gothika, but it sucked so I don't care. When I go on a trip somewhere, I collect just about everything. When I went to France in the 10th grade, I kept the chap stick I used. I also collect all of my Entertainment Weeklys. I have almost every magazine since 97.
Corey_Lazarus Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 I keep my concert stubs and live wrestling event stubs pinned to my doorway. I also collect things my ex-girlfriends have given me (in a nice "EX-GIRLFRIEND" pile in my room somewhere). But my favorite collection of all is SoBe bottle caps. The witty sayings, the random additions of letters that started not too long ago, whatever. Whenever I find one I don't think I have, I bring it home and put it into the bag. I have nearly 25, I reckon.
Downhome Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 I have collected EVERY ticket to EVERY event that I've been to since 1995. Movies, concerts, wrestling shows, sporting events, whatever. I am highly compulsive about this as well.
{''({o..o})''} Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 I have a sausage collection. Ok, it's only one, but it's real pretty.
Zack Malibu Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 I keep all my dirtsheets (Observer, Torch, Figure 4). I've got the majority of my Observers dating back to 1997. I had them from '95 on, but didn't start saving until '97. The cool thing is, I've always gotten them from a second hand source. In high school my algebra teacher subscribed and would copy them for me, even the years that I didn't have him in class. Good deal.
Jingus Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 I keep little pieces of wood from table spots at wrestling shows, oddly enough. One from New Jack in TNA, one from Abyss in Wildside, and one that I can't remember for the life of me who went through it. I also keep ticket stubs, but not from movies, only from plays. Don't know why.
eiker_ir Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 I have collected EVERY ticket to EVERY event that I've been to since 1995. Movies, concerts, wrestling shows, sporting events, whatever. I am highly compulsive about this as well. i do this too, any party, concert, game, whatever since around 1999 i started doing it with movie theater tickets since i saw X-MEn back in 99 i also collect DVDs and figures(Movie Maniacs and the like) and also those security stickers that seal the DVD cases when you buy them, i peel them off the case and stick them on my bedroom door, looks kinda cool
HarleyQuinn Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 I don't collect anything that odd but my sister's been off and on in terms of collecting those cool snow globe things where you shake it and snow floats around. She has around 10-12 of them down in the basement
dutchse.cx Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 I've got a collection of every bottlecap from an alcoholic drink that I've had since I moved into my new apartment. I've got enough Mike's caps that I'm not able to form *coherent* sentences. I also collect the Gundam toys from Wal-Mart. I have Heavyarms, Deathscythe Hell, Wing Zero, Altron and Sandrock (Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz, Battle-scarred), Dragon Gundam, Rose Gundam, Gundam Maxter, Bolt Gundam, and Burning Gundam (G Gundam, Battle-scarred), and Wing Gundam, Shenlong Gundam, Epyon, and Dark Gundam (non-battle scarred, G Gundam or Gundam Wing). I also have one bottle of each type of drink I've ever had. Don't feel like listing that though. Not that it's an extensive list or anything. And I have a big collection of hippo statues and figurines.
Der Kommissar Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 Egyptian and Chinese statues and flags.
Mole Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 I keep all my dirtsheets (Observer, Torch, Figure 4). I've got the majority of my Observers dating back to 1997. Guest stardust Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 Rubber bands. As for weird things I collect...um, I don't really know. I do have quite the collection of odd, "fun" socks, especially those with monkeys on them. And I have one stuffed monkey, and one hanging from my rear view mirror. So stuff with monkeys, to a certain extent, I guess. Oh, and when I was younger, up until a few years ago, I had a pretty extensive porcelain doll collection that started when I was a toddler. My mom started buying me one every Christmas but then stopped a few years ago. And I also have a ton of books, including every single novel written by a few certain authors.
BX Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 There are not "weird" collections. Collecting pennies, and gluing them all to your wall, in order to get a "neat" wall of copper is weird. Not that I do that.
Downhome Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 Oh, I collect DVDs also but that's not really weird I don't think. The majority of the DVDs I have I haven't even put in the player. That might be weird, I dunno. Oh, I also collect babies!
MarvinisaLunatic Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 I collect tickets stubs as well and most people hang on to their stubs so I dont find that wierd. I just recently found a ticket stub from a WCW show I went to back in 1988 which I don't remember (I was 6 at the time) that well.
