Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2004 Got the idea from Page2 on ESPN.Com Who either has or do you think would excel athletically outside of the ring. Ric Flair-great endurance in the ring, amateur wrestling background, and football player at Minnesota. Not this is Flair in his younger days. Kurt Angle-collegiate, and gold medal amateur, likely excelled in numerous sports in high school. Brock Lesnar-collegiate champion, great agility, quickness for a man his size. Know plans on holding a tryout for NFL teams.
Mystery Eskimo 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2004 I remember Kurt Angle said in his book that Benoit could have been a world class amateur wrestler with the right training. The Rock was a football player, wasn't he? He seems like the kinda guy who could do most sports well anyway.

DCMaximo 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2004 I could be wrong, but isn't there a weightlifting lift named after RVD? Also, Jorge "Giant" Gonzales was a basketball player, before getting knee injuries and Doug Williams was a judo champion in the UK
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2004 Bad News Brown won a bronze medal in Judo. I know what someoen was mentioning about the RVD lift, but I'm not sure if it is a legitimate stat.

Guest DeathBecomesYou Report post Posted May 1, 2004 Molly Holly I agree with that one, I remember reading that when she was younger, that Molly was a very good gymnast, plus her background in powerlifting, that's two sports she could've been succesful at. Reverb 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2004 I know what someoen was mentioning about the RVD lift, but I'm not sure if it is a legitimate stat. Coming from Van Dam's site. As of today, the appropriately named Van Dam Lift is listed among the registered lifts open for all competitors to do at any USWA weightlifting meet. Recently, I set the national record by lifting a dumbell of 166.5 pounds. Any of you dumbells want to give it a try?[/quote
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2004 The Van Dam Lift is when you do a split between two chairs and then deadlift weights. Just FYI... I'd have to say Chris Hero must be a tremendous athlete. 90-minute Iron Man match.
