Guest LL Cool M Report post Posted October 13, 2004 Steve Harvey Revokes Eminem's 'Ghetto Pass,' Video Pulled From BET By Latisha Simmons Date: 10/12/2004 Michael Jackson called in on Los Angeles radio station 100.3 this morning (October 12th) to voice his disapproval of the new Eminem video for his song "Just Lose It.” In the video, Eminem plays the characters of Jackson, Madonna & MC Hammer and others. The video shows scenes of Eminem dressed as Jackson sitting on a bed with children jumping around him. With Jackson's recent troubles, the scenes are hitting a little too close to home for the King of Pop. "I never had a problem with Eminem,” Jackson said during The Steve Harvey Morning Show. Harvey also voiced his disgust with the rapper. "Eminem has lost his ghetto pass,” Harvey declared. “We want the pass back." Harvey said that he was is displeased at the way Eminem chose to depict the black community. He added that rappers who are afraid to say something because they don’t want to jeopardize their own careers are "cowards." "You apologized about the comments you made before about us being ni**ers and calling black women b**ches but we don't want your apology now", Harvey fumed. In a bombshell revelation, Harvey stated that Bob Johnson, Founder and CEO of BET has decided to pull the video from BET’s rotation and will not be playing it again. Johnson also called the Steve Harvey morning show and confirmed the video has been pulled from the BET airwaves why he had his decision. Johnson is expected to release a statement later today about this issue. Harvey also stated that MTV and VH1 should follow suit and pull the video as well. Eminem Had A Ghetto Pass? Your Ghetto Pass Is Revoked, Bitch!
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2004 The way I see it is, if Michael Jackson can go around, change the colour of his skin, grab his balls, dangle babies over apartment balconies & molest little children and get away with it, Eminem can do whatever the fuck he wants in his music videos. snuffbox 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2004 Where does one get this 'ghetto pass'? Sounds like it could come in pretty handy whilst lost in the inner city...

ant_7000 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2004 Fuck a "Ghetto Pass" bullshit, its either you have experienced life in the hood or you don't. Plus, its perbetuating (sp?) a stereotype. Its funny when Steve was defending Em when he had those racist tapes by saying "rappers disrespect women" now Em has made fun of his buddy (who hasn't made fun of MJ) now he's angry. Eventhough, Im losing respect for Eminem these days I'll defend him on this one, because MJ has made fun of so many times I don't see how it would damage his reputation even more. I just hate when black peeps like MJ who don't associate with blacks want to claim their black and seek black support when their ass is in trouble. Also, the whole BET pulling Em's video is just a publicity stunt to say they're taking a stand, which Em gets the usual contraversy attention a month before his album drops. BET is own by Viacom which also owns MTV and VH1 which shows Em's video anyway which doesn't make sense for them to pull it. 1234-5678 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2004 Blah blah blah, somebody made fun of MJ. That's right, Eminem is the first person to ever ever do that. God I abhor stupidity. MJ and Steve Harvey both get my "Shut the fuck up!" award this week. Here's a tip. Stop with the plastic surgery and fuckin little boys you got drunk, and maybe people won't make fun of you. Man I hope horrible things happen to him in prison..........

Perfxion 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2004 This just sold another million CDs. And boo hoo, Eminem is crying because he lost the support of a washed up singer and a washed up actor. Both are crying the blues about something that is just a joke video. If michael and Steve wanted to revoke Em's "ghetto pass"(what the fuck is that anyways, he is more ghetto than both). Besides, the video wouldn't get much airplay on BET. It did show once or twice on 106 and Park, besides that show, no other show would show that video. It maybe rap, but rap city shows "Street Cred" videos only.
CBright7831 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2004 I'm sure Em is real worried about his ghetto pass being revoked as he counts his millions and millions of dollars and laughs. Meanwhile Michael Jackson is almost bankrupt and this case will pretty much end his career.

Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted October 13, 2004 Eminem's career is closer to ending because his music is really really really bad. Michael can tocuh little boys and always rely on the fact he made off the Wall and Thriller. What can Eminem say? "I dissed Christina Aguilera and Fred Durst, yo!" Give it up man, you ain't hardcore. Even 50 has stopped hanging out with you.
haVoc 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2004 I'm more disgusted at celebrities having their own radio shows. Harvey, Ryan (American Idol) who else has their own show over there in LA? As far as "ghetto" goes, I saw yesterday Eminem is moving out of his mansion in Detroit and finally moving to Beverly Hills.

You deserve to be slapped for being so fucking ignorant. Off the Wall and Thriller are landmark albums that revitialized pop music. What has Em done? "will the real slim shady please stand up?" His songs pander to 13 years who think they are drinking thugn juice when they are actually laugh at poop and fart jokes for 60 minutes. Oh, and lets not forget the genius of writing a song about killing his wife. Think of that, listen to Off the Wall and get back to me.
Cartman 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2004 "...even 50 has stopped hanging out with you." Wow...HUGE loss there. 50 and his fuckin G-Unit wouldnt ever sniff the money they made because of Eminem. Maybe people that rip Eminem for pandering to 13 year olds and writing crappy songs should actually buy the albms and LISTEN to the songs rather than hearing just the songs released on radio. BTW MJ was great for 3 albums...then what?
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted October 13, 2004 What was worse? MJ molesting little boys, or Steve Harvey's show on the WB? What's worse is that you and others call him a child molester, when he's only been accused of it. Unless he's convicted, he's not a child molester and you will just have to accept that he's weird not a criminal.

lomasmoney 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2004 People, calm down here. MJ and Steve Harvey are just overreacting, and Eminiem is just doing what he always does. I dont think that he actually disses Michael Jackson on the song and I reserve judgement on any of the said parties careers being ended because Michael Jackson will never be broke, and his legacy will live on after he finally offs himself, and Eminem never puts out good music with his first singles. What the fuck is MC Hammer pissed off about . Hes supposedly dropping a diss on Eminiem. I have to watch the video to see why everyone is so pissed

See, here's the thing about singles: These are the songs that are supposed to get people to buy the album. If the single doesn't appeal to me, why should I buy the CD in order to find some possible "hidden gem"?

I'll leave it up to Norm MacDonald......... "You are aware he is a homosexual pedophile right?" "Stan", "The Way I Am", "Lose Yourself", "If I Had" and "Rock Bottom" are all better then anything Jackson ever did, and you can quote me on that. Sorry UYI. NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2004 I have heard Eminem's albums. He is decent, but way overrated. His style was different from other people so his status was elevated by a media eager for the next "king of controversy" He wants to come off as tough and hardcore, but from the little I have heard about his life, it sounds a lot more Jerry Springer, then Thug Life. As far as Michael Jackson, he was a pop star, the most famous ever, so of course he was going to sell out for a few songs, big deal, no different then Mr. Gangsta Eminem going on TRL yet claiming his songs "get no play" LO F'N L. Michael Jackson from the age of what six, has pretty much owned the pop charts, and lets not even get into worldwide popularity. Michael Jackson made pop songs, so of course they aren't going to be lyrically genious, but they aren't supposed to be, that isn't the purpose of a pop song. Eminem's lyrics, haven't changed since his first album, same material, just recycled and rearanged.

I dunno, Em has owned the charts pretty much since his "arrival" and MJ hasn't had a serious hit since what, "Scream" or whatever the song with Janet was called? I just never liked him, it's a personal bias, he never "spoke" to me musically like Em has and does, and I'm not really a rap guy. I just don't know why people are defending him over and over, especially blacks, when he did everything he could to appear white! Oh well............
